Hi Dr.V, long time subscriber and your videos have improved my skin. Who said that? (As in, what is their knowledge/expertise?) Could there have been a miscommunication? Tinted sunscreens exist to counter the white cast that comes from having a high % of zinc oxide. That’s it. A tinted sunscreen may help hide or blur hyperpigmentation, but that does not mean it’s being *treated* A specific sunscreen might also add in ingredients that treat hyperpigmentation. However, that has nothing to do with whether the formula is tinted or not. I work as an esthetician alongside a dermatologist. The reason for that is the iron oxides, which give the sunscreen its tint, help protect against blue light from phone screens, computers, etc, which can contribute to pigmentation issues over time. ☺️

Hey Dr V i have a question. Should we be moisturizing our body first and then applying our sunscreen? Kinda like how we do on the face? Or do we apply it differently on the body? ❤Have A great Day!
Hi! I've been exclusively using the daily line + eye cream + sunscreen for about 4 months. I LOVE IT. exactly what my 28year old skin needs. Thank you for making it and all the videos 🙏🏿. Just wondering: at night, after applying the eye cream should I be layering the serum and moisturizer right on top? It's my first eye cream and i want to best utilize
Been using OTC adapalene and would like to know when or if I need to transition to trentinoin or retinol to treat hormonal acne around my chin and jawline.
Every sunscreen I've tried, whether chemical or mineral, whether expensive or inexpensive, even prescription causes acne on my forehead and chin. Even sunscreen marketed toward 'sensitive skin'. What do you recommend I use? I do have sensitive skin and have adverse reactions to other products/ingredients/medications, etc.
Hi Vanita. I started watching your videos just a few weeks ago. Your videos are very informative. I am Guyanese with a medium complexion, I have Indian skin. I’ve been using fresh soy cleanser for about 2yrs, and I’ve noticed tiny pigmentations. I don’t know if it’s just me aging (I’m 36) or if that product stopped my skin barrier. I have tried multiple brands but can’t seem to find a cleaner to do what I want it to, I used to use different products years ago and my skin was literally the absolute best, that changed ever since I started using the fresh soy cleanser. The old acne scars are visible, there are tiny pigmentation. I bought a cetaphil gentle cleanser that I’m about to start using. I also use a vitamin C ans E oil as well. Please advise what skin routine I can follow for a flawless skincare 😊 thank you.

How can we determine the therapeutic index for some of the specific actives you mentioned, like Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Ferulic Acid, Licorice Root, etc.? I recognize some of these, having read them on ingredient lists in the past, but there aren't any percentages given so I have no way of knowing whether the manufacturer is putting enough of the ingredient into the serum for it to make a difference.

Hi Dr.V, I have dry acne prone skin. I tried Derma co's retinol but purged for way too long. Even after 2 months, the purge wasn't going away. Since I've stopped, the purging is gone but a lot of brown marks and scars are left. Would you recommend that I use Skin renew retinol cream or stay off retinols altogether?
Micro needling was recommended to me by my dermatologist for brown spots and hyperpigmentation as well as laser for darker skin. Am between a 2-3 grade. The micro needling made my skin spots darker ! This was just the one no heat. I tried spot laserin at first it was slightly better and they said three treatments - second time worse! I tried every other cream now Am in hydroquinone just for some spots and a big one. Amy recommendations? Yes I use sunscreen everyday.
Hello Dr V! one question, what do you think about Bulk's collagen plus vitamin c powder, here is the ingredient list; Hydrolysed Collagen (Bovine), Acid (Citric Acid), Natural Flavouring, Sweetener (Steviol Glycosides from Stevia), Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid). Thank you!
Thank you, very helpful information. Dr V, I would like to ask about expiration dates for beauty products like any serum, when opened is it safe to use over the recommended expiration date?
Dr V why not create a range with Derma Co for anti pigmentation or skin brightening....just bought your existing Skin Renewal Range... And I do have a doubt regarding the toner in that range. Product suggests use of the wash and toner and serum. But the serum suggestions states that you leave it on for 10 mins and then wash it off...so wouldnt the toner get washed off as well....how do we do it?
Really appreciate this return informational first style. I would love to see the pop ups and transitions/cuts slowed down. For example, the table of ingredients, early in the video was barely up long enough to screenshot never mind read. It’s a 26min video. It should be easier to pause to take a screenshot here than for a short.
I can't use niacinamide and salicylic acid one of my favorite things lately whenever i uses it my eyes get really puffy and my face is swollen.... I'm fighting acne what can I use to replace the above mention
Dr v, love your videos! I am getting married in 5 weeks and went to see a dermatologist who is of skin of colour but after using the cerave eye cream and beauty of joseon eye cream my milia under my eyes have gotten worse and my skin feels drier after using skinceuticals c e ferulic vitamin c. Need your help and advice please! Is it too late to start your skin care? My skin type seems to be combined/dry/sensitive (I have eczema)
Sending you much love and appreciation 💗 How do I treat acne if im sensitive to salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide 😢?! Another question: do you recommend alpha arbutin by Ordinary or Beauty of Joseon? Thanks
Hopefully then not sensitive to niacinamide and centella/cica. I like adapalene over the counter overall with acne or not that day. Every night. Azelaic acid can helpful but slow over the counter. Mandelic acid 5% with no other AHAs may serve as a daily toner or maybe to 10% in a wash instead of salicylic acid. Plain hydrocolloid patches or dressings/bandages are good too. Sulfur is an effective ingredient but isn’t as popular because of the scent. Can use in the shower, face wash, or my favorite as a spot treatment. If need a moisturizer value sized that isn’t heavy I like basic Cerave lotion - not the cream nor PM. I am currently enjoying Gold Bond Pure Moisture especially in use, ingredients, and price. The Cerave lotion doesn’t have niacinamide (in case sensitive to it too) - the Cerave PM has niacinamide in it but will get expensive rebuying…however the Gold Bond Pure Moisture does have niacinamide also for less $. Both include ceramides. ^^ I’m just another person and no expert. But I’d look over those things yourself as just a starting point.
Please review biossance. Their marketing campaign is massive. I recently bought their lactic acid, which is not cheap! It scalded my face and I had to jump into the shower immediately. What can I mix it with so it does not burn? I do not want to discard it because it was so expensive😢
It taught me how to read clinical papers and conduct trials for skin of colour to understand actives our skin can tolerate. I went on to publish a book with Harper Collins called skin revolution.
Hello Dr.V, can you recommend any product that's for hyperpigmentation in a cocktail blend. Unfortunately, I can't afford yours at the moment. I use the ordinary alpha arbutin 2% as you recommended. I don't have a lot of melanin production on my face. I just have sun marks that look like freckles. That hopefully will lighten. Pls if you can, recommend a cocktail product close to yours. Tia 😊
I wish DR.V concerns about skin of colour have to reach more Indian ppl who is live in my country bcos I saw many influencers, many ads and many dr’s still recommends us skincare with fragrance and alcohol which is harm for our skin of colour..
I think I would be about a 4 on that scale, PIH is the worst thing ever, takes ages to go away. But agree with slower aging, my whole family other than my dad who smokes, looks younger than their actual age and Im the only one who does sunscreen and skincare. The not needing sunscreen myth was indeed a big thing for us Millenial kids growing up, my black friends also said the same. It's so interesting to see how much things have changed, now we have SPF in everything, even blushes are putting SPF in them lol

Thankyou 🙏🏽💓
Can you review plum products please
Sending you much love and appreciation 💗
How do I treat acne if im sensitive to salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide 😢?!
I’m just another person and no expert.
Dr V please do anti aging from the ordinary for sixty years ❤
Will do x
Pretty in pink dr. V 💖💖
Thankyou ☺️
Hi dr V, ❤ in your intro you mentioned being a medically qualified doctor, what does that mean in terms of skin care?
It taught me how to read clinical papers and conduct trials for skin of colour to understand actives our skin can tolerate. I went on to publish a book with Harper Collins called skin revolution.
Is the Cereve spf50 any good ? I bought it recently I don’t think it’s mineral. I use bondi sands mineral zinc spf 50 not sure if it works 😩
Tia 😊
Very clear video
I wish DR.V concerns about skin of colour have to reach more Indian ppl who is live in my country bcos I saw many influencers, many ads and many dr’s still recommends us skincare with fragrance and alcohol which is harm for our skin of colour..
We will keep working x
I think I would be about a 4 on that scale, PIH is the worst thing ever, takes ages to go away. But agree with slower aging, my whole family other than my dad who smokes, looks younger than their actual age and Im the only one who does sunscreen and skincare. The not needing sunscreen myth was indeed a big thing for us Millenial kids growing up, my black friends also said the same. It's so interesting to see how much things have changed, now we have SPF in everything, even blushes are putting SPF in them lol
Can you put your large size body sunscreen on your face?
Hi Dr. V can you pls suggest of the anua tranzemic acid + niancinimide would work for coloured skin?
Hi dr v. When are you launching sunscreen in india?? ❤ waiting eagerly:)
Early stages of development x
