I want to give her a Huge hug and protect her. Such a Beautiful Woman that should never feel that pain.
Loved your humility, and your ability to catch the whistles that so many don't even hear.
She made me cry.
The best example how heartbreak and pain can be transformed into something so beautiful
Her tone is heavenly with the added agility. She cries music. Please listen to her Evergreen. She wrote for her Mother's tragic death.
I listen to her music daily.
I agree! such a soulful voice! I'm looking forward to hearing this one :)
Abbey saying "That's that" is because she was indicating to the recording team to Stop Taping.
The audience was also quiet if you didn't notice.
Plus this was her first actual live performance in public. She's bloody brilliant if you ask me.
Ed Sheeren said this song made him Cry when he heard it as well. Now him & Abbey sing a duet together, how cool!
Agreed! She is brilliant for sure! Probably one of the best I’ve heard, ever. 💕
you probably dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies on Instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf recently xD
@Ledger Malakai Definitely, I've been watching on InstaFlixxer for since november myself :)
@Ledger Malakai Yea, I've been using InstaFlixxer for years myself :)
she actually said "That's that one" as in, that's that song finished
Wow! Just putting her raw emotions on display and her voice and control and range is amazing. And I love your reaction!
She’s from my hometown of West Memphis Ar that’s southern church blues from Memphis and more
Too much good to be true.❤️🙏
loved your reaction. Thank you!
It is always worth it to be kind and honest. The world could be everyones paradise
It's been a long time since we discovered an artist of this size, she is fabulous, emotion, voice, mastery ... Too strong bravo YEBBA👌❤️😍
SERGE TOULOUSE agreed!!so glad I came across her ♥️✨
@Serge Wtf should an artists' size matter @ all?????????????????????????????????
Aryan Bianca I think it’s a language thing. I believe the size was in reference to her musical artistry.
. This song will never get old even after the 200th time lol. It's time for you to become an official reaction channel. Check out Jinjer "Pisces (Live Session)
haha Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

You're were so lucky to have your first reaction with My Mind's Yebba. To me, today she is, along with Jessie J, the ultimate voice controler. They both use their voice as an musical instrument and, doing so, let the deepest darkness come out. In Jessie J case, allow me to come straight and admit that I don't quite like her music style. But she is an answome performer and you must hear what she sang on a chinnese tv show. Let me just add that Adele is remarkble and To be Loved, also a trip to her deep sorrows, a next level performance.
However, Yebba remids me the so missed Aretha Franklin. The vibe soul, the runs... and she does it seems to be so easy to sing, my Lord.
I enjoined immensly your vibe and envy your belief in human kind. I've lost it long ago and sometimes I am even ashaimed to be one, such are the horrific things humans can do!
Sorry for my miserable english and greatings from Portugal
It's like Yebba took us to church, testified to us about her emotional agony from a cruel betrayal; poured it all out and dealt with it and we were all her witnesses. The poet, Robert Frost, wrote "The best way out is always through."
Yebba has stated she will not perform this song again live. Why would she? She does not need to, as she delivered in every way possible; emotionally, mentally, physically with a pure and beautiful vocal performance. Preach, sister, preach.
(Reminds me of Melanie Safka the folksinger/songwriter singing live on her albums in the 1970's. Two songs, Momma, Momma and The Saddest Thing come to mind. Later, overdoing laments style singing harmed her voice. )
She was 22 years old when this was performed and sadly only weeks after she lost her mother. Yebba is so underrated but has a gospel/R&B influence growing up. Nice reaction!
Her mother committed suicide a week or two after this performance 🎭
I love Yebba! She is amazing! Loved your reaction🌹 I can hear Jasmine Sullivan, Adele in her voice, very soulful, a lil churchy...❤
What an awesome performance for your first music video reaction! This is great to watch in Winter when you've got a cold with sinus congestion because it really opens up the old tear ducts and flushes the system every time!
i cant control myself at all when i listen to this shes so powerful
Wow!!! I will definitely check out her other songs too! Thank you for doing the reaction vid. Would love to see more artists if you have any understated ones.
Music Dudley thank you so much! I will surely be doing more reaction videos too so any recommendations you have 😊
Try evergreen by her. Also your welcome to get on the Chris Stapleton live/acoustic performances as well :)
@@generalHod Will definitely do! Thanks for the suggestions :)
Thank you for giving Yebba a chance, loved it.
Christopher Bailey absolutely. She’s just amazing 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Raw emotion. Speechless is the word
Right?! I agree 😊✨
so so nice!
This was delightful to watch. I really enjoyed your candor and enthusiasm towards a performance that is close to my heart. Having the introspection that you aspire to this level of performance will make it attainable.. You've definitely gained a subscriber from me. I look forward to seeing more reactions or whatever content you decide to do.
Vanessa Aves thank you so much for the feedback! Truly appreciate it 😊♥️✨ I will have a reaction video up this week! 😊
loved your reaction.
Tasia Victoria Aujunaye thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it, friend! 😊♥️🙏🏼
As artists you tap into, not only song context since she really feels this one, but other things that can come close to that feeling of loss. The loss of her mother from suicide around the time of this song seems to come into play to me as another connection to loss.
Schnell, as a song writer myself, I think you should cover whatever song speaks to you emotionally. It doesn't matter if you're off key, or the style is different, or if you don't do it as well as the original artist. What matters is that it comes from inside you and you share that with others. If more people would start listening to other peoples hearts instead of listening to what other people around them or in media say. or what popular culture says, then we would all be laid bare for everyone to see. In that moment we would all have nothing to hide and we would all recognize the grace each of us need. And in the next moment we would realize how pitiful our attempts to hide our own disgraceful failings by standing tall pointing intensely at the faults of someone else.
The shame would be intense and overwhelming. Our individual needs for grace would be desperate.
It is in that realization of desperation within ourselves that we would be compelled to extend that grace to someone else, and that desperation then creates the compassion that might restore our nation and our world.
SO SING!!!
The fact that this performance does not have a Grammy, discredits the Grammy Award!!!
I agree!!
Yebba can let go unlike any modern pop singer we've seen in recent years, but make no mistake, the technical prowess she employs is also mixed with spiritual annointing, even while singing about earthly things. One of Abbey's major influences is Karen Clark Sheard of the legendary gospel pioneering group The Clark Sisters, and you can hear Yebba's own church influences in the use of her instrument as well as Karen's vocal influences. In a perfect world, my dream duet would be between Yebba and Karen's daughter Kierra Sheard: a live performance with those two young women would likely blow the hair follicles out of an entire audience's heads, but I would gladly walk around bald for a few months to hear the two of them together live.
She wrote this herself about losing her mom to mental illness. Two weeks after putting this song out her mom committed suicide. I’ve listened to this 100’s of times and every time I get chills and it hits e in my heart, my throat.
For all of us who know this song and performance we all saw this:-
* Friday night
* Glass of red wine
* first reaction video
* you chose Yebba
* singing My Mind
We all leaned in and watched what we’ve seen for everyone courting spiritual awakening from Yebba - Your soul went from “I am in my happy place” to “WTF is this emotional savagery” ba ha ha ha ha ha
Adele wishes she had runs like Yebba
That’s that yellow eyes.
All the loves.
Wtf? What a weirdo 😂
Love it!
paxonearth I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Yes, I cry ugly every time I watch and hear this. Listen to Evergreen and Gravity with Clark Beckham.
iamlpinthe312 lol samee!! Cool. I’ll check the other ones too 😊
Basically I have to implement breathing exercises to prevent myself from breaking down every time I hear this song. She pulls so many yarns in weaving this beautiful tapestry of a song.
Thane Fox haha I couldn’t agree more! ♥️
Actually she said : That’s That One
Your reactions are so sweet and genuine... Love it. Please if u wanna hear one of the greatest living voices listen to BETH HART... specifically Mama (live at the paradiso) or Am I The One (live at the paradiso). You will not regret it. Keep up the good work!

SHE IS EVERYBODY WHICH MAKES HER HER...
UNFUCKWITABLE PERIOD
This performance was 1 week before she lost her mom to suicide. She gave this song (she wrote) away for free to be used to raise awareness of Mental Illness
Tattitude 1959 whoa. I did not know that. Thanks for sharing! 💕

Leonel Mendez lmaoo I’m not surprised!! She does have that effect! 😂 btw new music video reaction coming up in a couple hours! 😊
@@SchnellJordan I'll check it out.
I hate to have to tell you this but to do what she just did you will have to experience pain and suffering, sure you can pretend, but you will never ever affect your audience like she just did, if you have experienced pain and suffering in your life to any degree, channel that pain and suffering into your music, take the emotion of those experiences and express them to others with a passion and emotional vocals, not always easy to do, because you can break down right in the middle of a song, if you were watching carefully she almost did.
The only singer I can think that Yebba can be compared to is the Late Great Etta James of I'd rather go blind fame.
Don’t try
