I guess once I figure everything out it will be. I haven't had much time to play and I'm trying to stay away from the wiki so as to figure it out on my own. Now I'm just mad at all of the little tricks I've missed out on.
I have played this game so many times but somehow I never knew that those Goblins spawn behind you during the Hydra escort mission. You learn something new every day haha
Nice. My 1st Arisen, a strider had the final stat of 466 as strength and health of 3401. Not too far from yours. I don't know which guide I followed but being balanced means I got to switch to Magick Archer every now and then and had nice magic damage too. Of course good equipment from BBI helps.
this video was excellent, thank you so much. I follow it and am now at max level, i did have a bit of trouble with the dark vic though i stacked 4 conqueror's periapt and he went down in 10 seconds. once again excellent vid!
Excellent video as always ! I just attempted this myself following your steps on a new character on an alt account. I took a bit longer than you due to a few mishaps but still only took 5h 50 mins
nihil is there ever a soundtrack in the game that gives you a flashback of a fight? one of grigori's battle themes reminds me of a time where i was casting abyssal (?) anguish while fighting him
Hmmmmm, just the Dark Bishop song I guess. That one is timed well and sometimes I see him falling on his ass after a volley of explosive bolts, when I hear the song.
When I hear the Dark Bishop theme I get Vietnam flashbacks of spending 45 minutes on that fight as a low vocation level sorceror then getting fucking dunked on by the light spell
i'm on my first playthrough at 25 hours and i'm level 35 haha. No worries, I'll be taking my time and savoring it on my first play. Once I finish, then I'll come back for videos like this.

Miss my chance to 1 hit death and leave me level 55 to beat the bishop and its dragon. Was able to manage since i have bought 10 Conqueror's periapt (it stacks up to five time) took me like 50 blast arrow to kill the boss. Then work my way up to farm death using gravity lol. Fvcked up so many time, withered the flower, messed up my makers finger, didnt know it spawn different mobs lol. Anyway thanks for the guide it helps a lot. Now i can play hard mode like it a normal mode due to power leveling !! Cheers
Nice Paul. Good to hear. Struggles, but you got it. Sounds like everything went wrong with your run man. Death is an important part, usually once you enter that door, there is an auto save. If failed on Death, go to main menu WITHOUT SAVING, and then load game. it will load in that room prior to Death showing up, and try again. And yeah, the fiend luring incense has 3 possible spawns, I choose the Elder Ogres and Eliminators, because it has high exp gains. Carry on
Awesome video, really enjoyed seeing this route. Might try it for fun myself after my initial playthrough. Where you lost me though is when you were using Master Thief on pawns while going to get the Barbed Nails. It would have been nice to see what you did to farm Rank 8 Strider, seeming as you have no Ring/s of Perseverance, and I don't believe your level increased. Anyways, great video! You and Wh1sper 123 are my favorite RUclipsr's for content related to Dragon's Dogma.
Hopefully with the eventual outbreak of more Dragon's Dogma based material the producers and developers don't abandon some of the original concepts. I would hate for (sequel-ish?) material to invalidate a majority of your guides. It's been some many years since I purchased original Dragon's Dogma and I now have it on the current generation of consoles (plural?yes.I love Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen). Tests still are being run on an almost daily basis for lesser explained/explored facets of the game. Kudos to you Nihil0.0. 👏 ✌ 👏 ✌ 👏
Thanks Lee. That is one of my primary reason that I upload, to show Capcom they have a game here that many fans like, and maybe encourage a sequel. Or something.
My preferred balanced build is strider 1-10, assassin 11-90, sorcerer 91-200. Plenty of damage is all I really want out of a build, and it has enough stamina for me.
Just an FYI for people coming back to this now, sure there will be some people with a negative opinion of exploiting bugs but due to the design of the chambers inside the Moon Doors I find it hard to believe that the developers didn't know about this. You can enter all of the Moon Doors without any Moonbeam gems via the door clip. Easy RUclips search will explain the fine detail but TL;DR, take a barrel, walk into closest possible corner of said door and place down barrel. Pick up another item, stand inside barrel and walk forward and jump into the corner of the door until you clip through. It takes about 5 minutes to get every single item within each and they sell for 2mil combined. Without Dragon's Ire if you want to keep it, it's about 1.4 iirc
Do you follow those steps every time you make a new build for videos? Also, bad guide, you forgot to tell the ppl the MOST important thing! Wolves hunt in packs...:V
And "ill likes fire" I usually just casually play the game when I create Arisens. Just go 190 levels as the vocation intended. When it's casual, you never stress about leveling. It just happens over time.
Assassin with Force Hatchet charge does pretty well on Death with the Blast Arrows cheese route. But Death always requires Cheese mode, so I usually ignore him in a fair fight.
Did you grind in between? I was following step by step but your character started getting way more advanced than mine especially when you get master thief
Great vid, I learned a ton and may do another go at this. I leaned how to make a torch in a pinch as well! Also fantastic idea for the helm split swan dive!!
If you're playing on a character that has double jump or levitate you can skip going all the way through the witchwood by jumping straight up to the exit from the witch's cottage next to the entrance to Cassardis. You just have to space your double jumps and you'll mantle on to the edge.
I played Bloodbourne for a year and then I got this game early 2019. I forgot I even played Bloodbourne because Dragon's Dogma is 10x more fun and I do not have to play online to fully enjoy the game
Very interesting video! I actually always thought of the Maker's Finger as too expensive to waste on simple levelling, but the results DO speak for themselves! One question, though: Could you not use an airtight flask to preserve the flower, or does that not work?
Thanks Ximena. I do read that with my voice from others. I don't hear personally, but I guess I have a calm voice. I think it may mostly be that I annunciate well, and since viewers come here from all over the world, my English annunciation is helpful for them.
1.2.2024 the method does not work like in the video. On the island, when you start getting the first large amount of experience, there is no room with minotaurs that you must kill with a divine arrow. Maybe it was nerfed.
I had this on ps3 and now ps4 playing as a different character. I was following your guide right until I needed to use helm splitter in the void...it works...for 2 seconds then I go splat. I'm working my way to the bottom and then I'll continue your video once I warp out
@@Nihil0.0 Well.. the left hip went so well and there were issues with the right also; having met my deductible for the year, they did the right one yesterday at 1pm. So.. the left is completely healed and doing great. 6 more weeks for the right. Hell, I'll be a new man after this. 👍
Something I noticed.. your character's weight was cut off at 69 and not 70 which if I've read it correctly moves your guy into the medium category. You don't strike me as the kind of guy that does much of anything randomly, lol.
Another good thing about starting as Fighter, is the big health and physical strength/defense boost that you get at the start. Makes playing Strider a lot easier early-game.
TYVM, this made my new game plus way better, but mine was less effective for three reasons: 1. I can only buy 30-60 blast arrows from the vendor then have to wait 2. I forgot the incense to lure stronger fiends 3. My makers finger did nothing on gazer so I had to beat him archer style.
Just getting into this game now its amazing... when you said helm splitter all the way down, I thought you meant its a weapon skill and you will kill all enemies on your way down with it, didnt realise its used for distance jumps
Viable option for this guide is completing Escort Duty quest for Gold Idol (or forgery). 30% shop discount is great, especially when you have poor aim (like me) and you need blast arrows.
Just a small tip; you don't really need to get the moon gem to unlock the door in BBI to get Dragon's Ire as there's an exploit with barrels to get past that and the other doors on the ground floor to get other items that sell for more than the 800,000 gold required for this guide. Just wanted to share that as a bit of a shortcut if anyone doesn't already know about this exploit
Also could have used the time he saved doing that to kill the ogres and eliminators with baiting them off the ledge above the tree instead of buying the maker's finger
I don't know if you know this already, but it's possible, with some sort of double jump-like ability and a pawn, to gather almost all ground floor moonbeam gem room rewards in the one room of them. This leads to a lot of easy money and great gear fast, especially for a small bow user like assassin or strider.
@@Nihil0.0 Something like that. I'm not certain how much its been experimented with, however, as I've yet to find anything about it online. For sure a quick and easy way to become near immortal for most of the base game.
the mental image of you having to slow down and take baby steps to let death catch up to you is hilarious, it's so inept it can't even navigate around a wall also I think that was the first time I've ever seen the maker's finger arrow used, I've gotten it myself before but never tried it in such a way, that was insane to see it vaporize all the eliminators and elder trolls there
@@Nihil0.0 I'm going to have to try that some time, part of why I probably haven't used them much is because of mainly using a full party of pawns most of the time and that doesn't help sniping stuff like that or gathering a bunch of enemies with aggro and then using the maker's finger to vaporize them all. It was a really cool effect though, very eldritch
Dude your videos are SO good!! I've learned tons of DDDA tactics that helped me immensely, all while enjoying your presentations and music choices. I've watched this one countless times. While trying to replicate it, I think I took a wrong turn and found a Cursed Dragon (after a void key) who is pwning my ass. Skip it and come back?
Are you perhaps playing on pc? It'd be nice if someone on pc that uses hacks could make a video show casing the world beyond its boundaries. It's nice to see someone is still dedicated to this game btw.

I gotta say that I really like your videos though, there's a lot of information in them and I've learned a lot from them in the past. DDDA is still one of my favorite games of all time and I really like that there's someone still so dedicated to the game so keep up the good work!
Another great video. I was surprised at how well striders level for a whole playthrough. Cool stuff
I love Strider, even for the stats. Those are good all around stats for any vocation.
I’ve learned of beasts.
Damn, you've been uploading Dragon's Dogma since a year ago. I love your consistency, keep going! I just played the game a week ago.
Thanks Gog3tha, I do enjoy this game
Nice! I've been running around just doing all of the quests. This will help a lot.
Very good Nikki. Enjoy the journey.
@@Nihil0.0 as a new player on switch, you've made this look way too easy. 😂
It is easy. The hardest part is Gazer and Bishop, but. Easy.
I guess once I figure everything out it will be. I haven't had much time to play and I'm trying to stay away from the wiki so as to figure it out on my own. It's somewhat like Monster Hunter for me-jumping in and being confused in the beginning. Your videos are the only spoilery things I've read/watched.
God i wish we had a sequel or another expansion. Hopefully now that itsuno sensei is done with DMC5 he can start on DD2
Commenting to see how it goes
@@yungjose3369 no news as far i know. No new DLC for dmc 5 either although people are expecting it to be done for a DMC5SE on the ps5 probably.
Hope another game on ps5
It’s happening
this video was excellent, thank you so much. I follow it and am now at max level, i did have a bit of trouble with the dark vic though i stacked 4 conqueror's periapt and he went down in 10 seconds. once again excellent vid!
Nice Ben. I am happy that it worked out for you
Excellent video as always ! I just attempted this myself following your steps on a new character on an alt account. I took a bit longer than you due to a few mishaps but still only took 5h 50 mins
Really, I'm doing this currently on a new character and ran into a roadblock going to where death is on the bride. There is a locked gate
nihil is there ever a soundtrack in the game that gives you a flashback of a fight?
one of grigori's battle themes reminds me of a time where i was casting abyssal (?) anguish while fighting him
Hmmmmm, just the Dark Bishop song I guess.
5 hours guide on how to get to level 200, took me almost 20hrs just to get to level 130, on whoever going use this gyide make sure to save first before entering fortress of remembrance.
Carry on
57:00 I've never seen someone disrespect a boss so badly. This video is perfect man, thanks now I'm going to go try this!
Anyone else watch the entire thing from start to finish without any skips. 😂
I didn’t look at how long it was before i started it. An hour and a half later where the hell did my morning go?
I skipped back a few times
I didn’t skip but rested at the inn for the second half!
4k stamina is a good amount and a good split of attack. I just dread leveling Sorcerer.
@@Nihil0.0 yeah, it does suck, but the result is a perfect glass cannon.
@@matthewhenry86 What would be the perfect vocation in this scenario?
Dynamic YT ma or mk
Just discovered this game since some week , i'm absolutely lovin' it
The fact that i just started a new game with Strider makes it just perfect for me , you're the best dude
Perfect. Enjoy the run Kaiju
So glad I found your channel man.
Your vids are awesome.
Thanks for all this valuable info!
And "ill likes fire"
I usually just casually play the game when I create Arisens. Just go 190 levels as the vocation intended. When it's casual, you never stress about leveling. It just happens over time.
That is a valid point. However I feel like the guide was made with the assumption that even in numbers a weakling is a weakling still
@@lurgutrenalpak8398 😂😂😂😂
They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong!
That is some fast powerleveling, great job making this guide Nihil.
Personally I enjoy the journey and that I one day will defeat death.
Assassin with Force Hatchet charge does pretty well on Death with the Blast Arrows cheese route. But Death always requires Cheese mode, so I usually ignore him in a fair fight.
Glad to see theres people who played this game on a serious level longer than me. Good shit
you forgot to tell us that you have to be at lvl 50 to use dragon's ire bow or your stamina will be drained.
Excuse my ignorance but could you keep the blessed flower fresh by combining it with an airtight flask?
Nope. You just gotta put it in storage every day for a few days to keep it from spoiling.
Ok thnx for the info 👍
So...I did everything leading up to using the maker’s finger..... and I ******* missed!!!!!
Should've save the game before equipping the arrow man 😂
Mark Ubalde Quitain I did. The game literally force saves after you use it
Same :(
U can't get another one?
lil maidree not unless you play the game through again
Man 30k views on this, you've come so far Nil!
After all these years. I’m still playing and still loving this game. Such a gem. Please DD2 stick to what made this great!
I just reset my save yesterday for this game lol, it feels good to start over and not just steamroll everything, although that's fun too
Did you grind in between? I was following step by step but your character started getting way more advanced than mine especially when you get master thief
Great vid, I learned a ton and may do another go at this. I leaned how to make a torch in a pinch as well! Also fantastic idea for the helm split swan dive!!
If you're playing on a character that has double jump or levitate you can skip going all the way through the witchwood by jumping straight up to the exit from the witch's cottage next to the entrance to Cassardis. You just have to space your double jumps and you'll mantle on to the edge.
You still to go through with Quina. Stupid escort quest.
@@Nihil0.0Oh, of course. My bad.
Good question
1:01:25 my eyes can’t help but see a bird beak when the Dark Bishop dies. 🐤
Or a fish mouth
Your videos are awesome, and your voice is kinda soothing (no homo lol) hope you get a lot of attention and your channel grows, much love man
Thanks Ximena.
Damn that sucks I'm almost to that part. I guess I'll come back and leave a comment if it works or not.
I had this on ps3 and now ps4 playing as a different character. I was following your guide right until I needed to use helm splitter in the void...it works...for 2 seconds then I go splat. I'm working my way to the bottom and then I'll continue your video once I warp out
Don't jump prior to Splitter. Just while running, use Splitter. No fall damage
I love all your DD videos, I hope you keep making them till you are in a Senior Home LOL
Nice man.
I've been waiting for this one. Great stuff.
Thanks Maurice. How's the recovery going for you?
@@Nihil0.0 Well.. the left hip went so well and there were issues with the right also; having met my deductible for the year, they did the right one yesterday at 1pm.
So.. the left is completely healed and doing great. 6 more weeks for the right. Hell, I'll be a new man after this. 👍
Something I noticed.. your character's weight was cut off at 69 and not 70 which if I've read it correctly moves your guy into the medium category. You don't strike me as the kind of guy that does much of anything randomly, lol.
I was 70, but lowering the face size took me to 69, which is where I like my yellow's to be be.
This was great, thanks for making this vid
Died trying to jump down with helm splitter everytime
Another good thing about starting as Fighter, is the big health and physical strength/defense boost that you get at the start. Makes playing Strider a lot easier early-game.
TYVM, this made my new game plus way better, but mine was less effective for three reasons:
1. I can only buy 30-60 blast arrows from the vendor then have to wait
2. I forgot the incense to lure stronger fiends
3. My makers finger did nothing on gazer so I had to beat him archer style.
Just getting into this game now its amazing... when you said helm splitter all the way down, I thought you meant its a weapon skill and you will kill all enemies on your way down with it, didnt realise its used for distance jumps
Playing this in 2022...loving these videos
I like how you caught Death runnin his fu$#! Mouth about his lantern and wacked his ass. Good sh!+!
>Gravity kill death
>Twice
Damn son, death is a chump.
Someone has played a ton of Dragons Dogma.....lol. Truly an epic game ! Thanks sir 🤘🏻
Viable option for this guide is completing Escort Duty quest for Gold Idol (or forgery). 30% shop discount is great, especially when you have poor aim (like me) and you need blast arrows.
I am watching this on 2024🗿
Me too!
The small unsaid details also help.
Example: kindling used as a torch. Grab and toss enemies into pit. etc...
2024 and still in use!
I usually use throwblasts against the first two BBI bosses. Cleans them up nicely.
Jack of all Trades
Master of None
Let's do this.
I thought this was a Souls video then I found myself questioning whether or not I have autism
Yeah, the character creations are similar. I can definitely see the confusion.
Yeah, I think I saw a video of that. Like a wall glitch.
@@Nihil0.0 Something like that. I'm not certain how much its been experimented with, however, as I've yet to find anything about it online. For sure a quick and easy way to become near immortal for most of the base game.
the mental image of you having to slow down and take baby steps to let death catch up to you is hilarious, it's so inept it can't even navigate around a wall
also I think that was the first time I've ever seen the maker's finger arrow used, I've gotten it myself before but never tried it in such a way, that was insane to see it vaporize all the eliminators and elder trolls there
Maker's Finger is bassically a cheat weapon, but it is very fun to see those tentacles chase after enemies.
Damn not even death can beat gravity
You can get thourghs all the moonbeam doors using some barrels. Might cut an hour off. Although its a glicth and you might not want to do that
My guy over here straight stylin on dragons dogma i love it.
Where is the Cursed Dragon spawning? You can always walk away. The only CD that you have to actually fight is Dark Bishop's pet dragon.
@@Nihil0.0 After you pick up the void key in Pilgrim's Gauntlet, just past the bridge for the first Death gravity kill (30 instant levels)
Ah, yeah that's a scripted spawn. You don't have to fight him. You can leave him behind.
Your videos are great and very helpful. Thank you for sharing
This video very helpful still in 2020 wow
Good job bruh I got to level 140 now almost there and
Before that I was around 50-70 for a long long time
Are you perhaps playing on pc?
It'd be nice if someone on pc that uses hacks could make a video show casing the world beyond its boundaries. I'd really like to see what's behind that gate at the end of the shadow fort or what's inside that mansion behind the church in kassardis or simply seeing what's hiding up there in all those mountains all over gransys.
It's nice to see someone is still dedicated to this game btw.
If I had to guess, nothing. It's likely just empty space, or a floor texture. However, now I wanna know if there are any no clip mods...

Rook: I'll scale it's head!
*crawls into crotch*
Everything was going smoothly until the 37:00 minute mark in Rotunda of Dread. I could never get those types of enemies to spawn no matter how many times I entered and left the room.
As Nihil stated in one of the comments you need to have an fiend luring insense on you to spawn different enemies
