I don't understand how people have this much control of their feet, all my motor control is in my hands. Same with football, I can't control a ball with my feet.
I've landed my first stationary kickflip over a year ago, did like 12 and then stopped doing them for 10 months or so, and slowly got back to them. Yesterday, i've landed my first rolling kickflip! It was awesome and i've done around 10 rolling kickflips since then. Apparently i can kickflip to fakie better and easier than i can just kickflip.kind of weird, but it's great! Thanks for your kickflip tutorial jonny, it helped me a lot and made me confident that i can land it
Dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my girlfriend for the last few months =)
4:17 I've been to that skatepark! It was rebuilt a few years ago and it doesn't have that kicker to flat/loading dock thing, but I remember that obstacle being so damn hard to skate, props to the guy who fs flipped it
FS Flips that people do like a hard flip body varial is one of the most beautiful things ever. The way the board falls between their feet is so satisfying.
My favorite must be 360 flip. I love how the board rotates. It looks so uncontrolled and fast. I loved doing 360 backflips off cliffs or on trampoline because of the exact same reason.
Actually comforting to hear that it took Jonny quite a few years to get a trick looking good I feel like it's taking me too long to learn some tricks, as I am a beginner still. But I think this is part of the process, anyways. I mean, the one he was talking about is waaay harder than what I'm learning. But still, it gives me some confidence to keep trying, and hopefully one day it will become easier
I don't know how "basic" these are but my absolute favorites are alpha, hospital and any kind of late flips... Additionally I love the laser flip and the lazy tre flip to death! XD
Lazor flips are my favorite looking truck! My favorite trick of all time I’ve ever done was a nollie laser they just feel so satisfying to do!! I learned Nollie laser flips I could really even nollie heel! Like wtf? 😂 skating was always so weird for me learned healflipa before kicklips and tre flips before varial flips could barely varial heel flip but had switch and nollie lazer heels down most tries haha 😂 anyway loved the video man all these tricks are amazing and you make them all look beautiful
I know these are variations of the tricks you put on the list but muska flips and ghetto birds are probably some of the most aesthetically pleasing tricks down sets in my personal opinion. Love the video btw man keep up the great work
Spot on with the nollie inward heels! I couldn't land them though. I used to be pretty good at fakie inward heelflips. It was the only way I could land them and make them look smooth.
If they're not done well they're the worst looking though - in my opinion. Paul Rodriguez or Sewa doing a nollie late front foot flip would be examples of how to make it look good. I don't like when the board flips on the way down and the flip finishes partly after ground impact
Late tricks in general are in my opinion pretty elite things to do..like i remember in the 90s u would see some late shuvs but nobody was really doing any late flip tricks..mullen probably invented almost every trick there is but boy when u got ur late flips on lock that shit looks crazy...any time i see someone bust out a nice late flip variation of some kind i gotta make a comment about it
Best looking trick for me is definitely the Tre Flip. Started learning it about 2 months ago and already have got it like 20 times! Thank you Jonny it's all because of your tips.
bought myself a new skateboard that will arive on monday. all because of you haha, have not skated for over 10 years now. sooooo hyyped to do some flips again
And Aurélien Giraud is a fucking good choice to illustrate tre flip !! He has one of the best tre flip in the world these days with Chris Joslin imo ;) (btw you should have shown Chris Joslin backside flip he has it on lock :D )
Just watched that Brandon Westgate kickflip clip a few days ago. Since it came out years ago, I watch it every now and then because his flip is just sexy!
Jamal Smith-style halfcab heels, or between the legs to be less specific. Out of hardflips, fs flips, inwards and other tricks that can go vertical, these look the smoothest to me. Switch hardflips are a close second.
Your hard flips are truly something else bro. I wonder where skating would be today if Rodney had not introduced himself in the 80s. 🤔 Thank God he did though!
Regular old bs 180 and switch big heel are pretty damn beautiful too... Bs flips and nollie inward heels are the best tho god damn I wanna go skate now.
tre flips are just the essence of beauty.
Hard flip
Both
Wack
pop shuv, clean and simple
@@SK-fw9zn tre hard flip
its always surprising how beautiful skating is
Its surprising how beautiful he makes it look
Damn right
Especially when Johnny does it
I don't understand how people have this much control of their feet, all my motor control is in my hands. Same with football, I can't control a ball with my feet.
no it ain’t
Backside flip is imo like top 3 best looking tricks. They’re AMAZING over stuff and down sets and are just sooooo nice flat
it really depends on how they're done tho, if you can give it a lot of pop, make it boned and kinda exaggerate the flick it makes it really nice
@@elboi1769 and give it a little shuv as well
@@elboi1769 like ishods bs and fs flips are my favourite
@@lewisgartland8948 agreed, backside flips can be done beautifully, but I feel like it's a trick that can look pretty wack when it's not done well.
@@homerj.simpson2513 yeh I haven’t got them yet but when people rush them and make them not floaty they look bad

incredible Jonny has been asked to do a kickflip 183 times every single day since he first stepped on a skateboard
Did you do that from your head?
@@thezetes he's the avatar, of course he did
Really did the maths huh?
Dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my girlfriend for the last few months =)
No wonder he got so good at them!
Fs bigspin is absolutely one of the most beautiful trick when done good.
Was thinking the same thing. I prefer fs big spins to bs. They just look better imo
Jonny makes even the simplest tricks look so cool!!!!!!!!!
Hospital flip, alpha flip and front foot impossible are also among my favourites.
Big flip
Hospital flips are insane I love looking at them and doing them feeling the wrap is so nice
Gotta agree, hospital, alpha and, the ghetto bird are some of the best looking in my opinion
Nice taste 😊
I like also the no-comply 180. I know its really basic but when you got it good it looks very nice
Mr Jonny best flat skater 💪🛹 respect from Poland 🇵🇱
Even when he lands pretty clean, it's not good enough for Giger. Thanks Jonny!!
That classy subtle jab at Sheckler is seriously on the level of a master Swiss watch maker.
Torey's hardflip over the picnic table was nuts 🔥
I am so glad you mentioned nollie inward heel, my most favorite looking trick
dude the editing on this video is amazing
4:17 I've been to that skatepark! It was rebuilt a few years ago and it doesn't have that kicker to flat/loading dock thing, but I remember that obstacle being so damn hard to skate, props to the guy who fs flipped it
I love how you shout out a lot of less well known skaters in your videos
I saw a half cab front gengar flip at my skatepark last week, it’s just awesome !!
This has to be the most humble skater ever!! Love watching you skate brother! Keep up the good work! You're awesome!!
Awesome demo... pedagogical, efficient, clean with style. From a teacher to a teacher: two thumbs up
As a beginner a trick that i can do and that looks really cool in my opinion: fs pop shove it. Looks and feels so good to me when landed.
i'm was waiting for nollie varial heel flip, imo this the one best looking trick
Nollie heel variations are just so steezy
Nolly bsheel Looks Even better

Man's really named all my favorite tricks. Such a good video
I'm glad nollie inward heel is on the list :) Absolutely love this trick, hope I can learn it someday...
Nollie Inward Heel has always been my favourite trick to watch and do.
Rite
I don't know how "basic" these are but my absolute favorites are alpha, hospital and any kind of late flips... Additionally I love the laser flip and the lazy tre flip to death! XD
You a menace to society if you use this in a game of skate 😭
those tricks/landings are STEEEEZY
Loving Forward Flip. Always comes so unexpected

Very happy lazerflips got a shout out at the end. Kickflip tricks got almost all the love in comparison to heelflip tricks in this one!
Double flips and revert/pivot tricks are a thing of beauty!
The charisma you have Jonny is awesome
I know these are variations of the tricks you put on the list but muska flips and ghetto birds are probably some of the most aesthetically pleasing tricks down sets in my personal opinion. Love the video btw man keep up the great work
Big spin heelflips are beautiful, big spins are overall awesome!
Merlin twist is surely one the best looking tricks!
Jonny! Im going to go practice now this video made me want to go put in the work😂🔥

My second favorite, (after tre flip) for looks is shuv it (no pop), cos the board stays flat and ur body is mainly still, and it's so clean and easy
Laser flips are bomb.. happy to see a clip of Yoshi, he’s unreal.
Very clean fakie /nollie shovits, with Pop and Front food catch is so steezy
Best looking trick for me is definitely the Tre Flip. Started learning it about 2 months ago and already have got it like 20 times! Thank you Jonny it's all because of your tips.
Wonderful skating, beautiful production !!
In my opinion, Your backside late flips and one of the best looking tricks ever!
Every trick done by Jonny is best looking.
360 pop shovit is the most underrated skate trick, it look better than impossibles when you do the ninja catch on it ;)
I always loved the aesthetics of a Muska Flip!
Man of culture
the sloppy aesthetic is alright. I prefer the look of a clean hardflip but I’ve never seen one done.
Jesus! Johnny’s switch flips look better than his regular kickflips 😂😂 wow gotta love it
