    The very largest twins is the one segment where Boeing is definitely ahead of its competition; Airbus does not have a good answer to the 777 series. At the other end I believe the only reason people are placing big orders for 737s is that the waiting list for 320s is SO long and Airbus cannot build A220s quickly. Boeing are way, way overdue for some major redesigns; their cockpits look like a WW2 bomber.

    I've flown VivaAerobus multiple times.
    so far i've flown on their Boeing 737-300s (retired in 2016)
    as well as their A320s, A321neo, and A320neo. my personal favorite was the A321neo that I flew last year (ZIH-MEX and MTY-IAH). it was great.
    so i'd really love to see another order for more of the types, especially the 321neos.

  • @boondockduane
    @boondockduane Год назад +1

    I believe Airbus needs to be very careful as they have to be able to produce these orders. Engines! Boeing will have the same procurement issues with their very large orders and Boeing has Military and Aerospace contracts needing some matching electronics in the procurement processes. 2024-2025 will be interesting as I see procurement of heavy components and materials to be a huge issue.
    Airbus and Boeing have planes on the ground that cannot fly fares do to engines and non availability of parts and components

    The fact that boeing have delivery slots for the max is a red flag. The airlines that choose the max over the NEO are all boeing operators (ryanair,southwest) or airlines that have to settle for the max due to high demand for the NEO (allegiant). The Airbus A320 family is the better option hence the extensive backlog.

    Boeing needs to get their finger out. They have nothing that can compete with the A321 LR/ XLR.
    The outdated museum piece that the 737 is, regardless of version is long overdue for replacement.
    We will see if the B777X will ever get certified..
    Continuing problems with the B787 is also a worry..
    Boeing used to be a great airplane manufacturer, but not the last 20 years, since Wall Street and incompetent/ bonus greedy management destroyed the Aircraft manufacturer.
