Man, that GP01fb is crazy. Has both forms, both transforming core fighters inside the torso, construction frame etc. etc. Easy light up assembly=no wiring. Tons of opening panels. It's just all around awesome, totally worth getting. 3k + pieces if I remember right.
For panellining I personally choose to usually use black fine line marker for the faceplate, but the rest usually the grey real touch marker for white and matching colors for others.
I've been painting miniatures for about 15 years, and that comment about dry brushing was absolutely correct. The main point is that you want next to no paint on the brush at all, hence the name, dry brush. it is a common mistake i see newer modelers make all the time. the first time you try it properly, is a real eye opener.
I'm really looking forward to watching you build that GP01. I'm planning on actually buying that kit (from HLJ of course) and building it for my birthday in October. I look forward to seeing how great of a kit it really is.
Great show guys!!! I bought the master grade red frame and have it all built and being new to the hobby it just is insane how some of these kits are engineered with all the bulk and armor and yet still maintain all of the articulation. Now i am hooked on gunpla...

Have fun with the PG, Ryan - they're quite an experience. I built the PG Red Frame Astray 1st, followed by Strike Freedom (thanks to the last HLJ Gundam sale), and going to try Char's Zaku II next. I tend to airbrush all pieces before assembly, which makes for a long build, but really worthwhile end results. I'm very keen to see how your build of the GP01/Fb goes, and how it looks. Syd, happy to see a full ep on the RG line. They're like PG in miniature, and by far the best value gunpla.
Hi guys- great show as always. Very informative and fun to watch. Ryan I think you are A OK for building this PG. I just started on my first PG Gundam MK-II and I had a lot of fun building it. There were a few challenging sections but it wasn't anything I couldn't take care of. My advice is to be careful with what you are doing and be gentle with the parts so you do not accidentally snip anything off that you didn't intend to. I already did that on a few pegs and I can fix them

I love watching Gunpla TV because as much as I cringe at the fact I don't have money to spend on gunpla at the moment, I can still enjoy one of my favorite elements of the Gundam franchise. Nonetheless, HLJ is the best online store for gunpla, hands down!

Well there was also the 2 HGUC support units released in one Gentei package to be used by the RG MK-II. And I believe a RG Strike that had no Aile pack was also released.
One of the notable things on RG line is that there are more Gentei variations of it's kit, then the general line. With the total of 11 kits in the main line there are 12 gentei varitions: RX-78-2 Mechanical Clear RX-78-2 Ver. I recently bought HG models of Freedom gundam, justice gundam, and destiny gundam and i have to say, these three significantly developed my skills with gunlpla. Freedom would be by 7th gundam to build and i just went on ahead and panel lined him with gold, did some painting to his face,wings, and any other certain places. I look forward to more when i build my STARGAZER gundam :)

The RG figs look great. I might have to set aside display room for them in their own area. One for RG, one for MG. That opens up more avenues for collecting other 1/144 scale figs.

The only way to buy it was via the Premium Bandai website, it wasn't sold in shops. To buy it outside of Japan your best bet is resellers like genteikits (Syd has mentioned them before) or, since you're coming to Tokyo, it might be for sale in second hand shops like in Mandarake. I saw it going 'second hand' (as in, someone had bought it but didn't build it, so it's just a scuffed box) in Nakano a few weeks ago. It's luck if you can find it though. Personally I'd grab it now if you can.
Gotta dig the normal Zeta, favorite suit from my favorite series. Good luck with the PG, Ryan. GP01's among my favorite suits because it was the first I saw, and the upcoming RG GP01 has me psyched. Looking forward to your Shizuoka coverage, and here's hoping to a Master Grade Jegan.
@ renaldo marvello HG is 1/144 scale model and the articulation is a little bit limited , MG is 1/100 scale model , the articulation are greater than HG . RG is also a 1/144 scale model but it has the articulation like a MG kit and this grade also make the model kit look "realistic" because of its armor's colour separation . The PG is 1/60 scale and yeah , it is a lot bigger than the other grade .

I used to think MG were the best there is, except maybe the PG. But yeah the RG RX-78-2 blew me away! (Even if it was a pain to build with my clumsy hands!) Also, most HG nowadays are just plain awesome, and Bandai churn out more HG then MG or RG anyway, so there's that.

building a PG is just like building anything else, ok you have the Zeta, MKII and the WZC with the wire connections, but other than that its exacly like building an HG ( piece X13 goes with X12, etc....), just more pieces.
I don't think they'll make any RG from the gundam unicorn series anytime soon. As far as I know it's like how they would have made the old models in modern time. HGUC from gundam unicorn were just made recently(IMO) and they have the some goods too(isn't the HGUC unicorn transforms? I thought it does and I got one on the way). But yeah I wouldn't deny I'm planning to collect 1/144 scale models and prefer RG.

I'm currently building my first RG kit, the RX-78 GFT version... to be honest, I'm not enjoying it that much. It just feels like it's taking such a lonnnnngggg time to make. At least with MGs the sheer size gives some satisfaction for the time spent (built the MG Unicorn a couple of months back), but this... ehhh... not sure I'll build many more RGs in the future tbh. Aside from the Karaba Zeta and Strike Rouge I have sitting waiting to be built (and Destiny's Wings of Light on the way) haha >_
On my MG astray Red frame the ball peg for his right leg keeps comming undone. Is there a way to fix this?? Any suggestions?? I am sorta new to Gunpla.

Just got my RG Titans Mk. II. I've already built the GP01 Zephyranthes, so I'm excited to tackle what I hear is a more solid kit.

RG is the best G. I started out doing no-grade 1/100 and HG. Once I did an RG, I really don't want to do anything else.

Hi , What sprays do you use on your gundams ? (: Is it flat coat gundam sprays ?
, but I wanted to throw that out there. They aren't hard by any stretch of the word- just more involved. It took me around 15-17 hours to build my PG.
