I get dizzy just assembling MGs. I can't even begin to imagine what assembling a PG would be like even if I *COULD* afford one.
even im a kid, MG is kinda easy, i wish i can buy a hard MG, i have Hi nu and Nu ver ka... lol they are kinda easy, i kinda recommend them
TheAarontheblackmage I don't really consider MG hard, I built my first MG when I was 8, I did had some trouble building it back then but in the end I managed to pull it off. As a grown man now, building MG is like a walk in the park to me, that is of course if I don't do any modification and painting though. I also wouldn't consider PG any harder then MG. The parts are bigger, so it's actually easier to handle. The only difference is there are a lot more parts so it takes longer to build. If there's a gunpla grade which can be consider a little bit hard, it will be the RG since the parts are really thin and tiny.
TheAarontheblackmage the number 1 thing to do when you're building gunpla is getting familiar in what the parts are and where they go.
I bought a Dengeki Hobby one time for a exclusive kit add-on... Been buying every mag each month now for beautiful pics and great content in general. Amazing mag is amazing
I haven't yet built a PG, but I'd love to do one. I've built a handful of High Grades, Real Grades, and Master Grades, and I'm starting to view a PG as a sort of capstone project. Put all my plastic-snipping and modest detail-painting skills to the ultimate test!
I just saw you guys on Rrobbert184's channel outside the Gundam cafe. It was too much awesome for a 1 minute 49!
My only qualm with my only perfect grade kit is that it was Strike and that the Aile Striker weighed it down so much that trying to balance it so it wouldn't fall backward caused it to fall forward. Off the top of my bookcase. $200 worth of kit and 2 days just in building, gone in an instant.
And I'm anticipating on the finished result of the iron kong. Geez, that thing is massive. I guess you do get ur moneys worth.
Only 4 hours for an MG?! That's some serious speedbuilding, I think I took 10 to build my first MG, Char's zaku ver2.0. It was a lot of fun putting it together, but I can relate to small parts being fiddly when you want to clean the runner leftovers.
Hi Syd and Ryan. Loving the show every week. I've built a handful of HG's, MG's and a PG. Now that i can afford them and built one really neat PG strike for myself, i would like to explore other gunpla kits that are manufactured by other companies such as G-Systems and Neo Grade. Which manufacturers would you suggest? I know many of them are quite expensive but as a lover of engineering and details, i know it would be worth it.
While I haven't built one yet I have already decided that the first PG I build will be the Red Frame, because I love it's design
* reads richard1701able' comment *
I immediately paused this vid to find that one.....too awesome.
It would be awesome if Rob could be a guest on this show as well. XD
Great show! As a FYI, the large scale RX-78-2 is 1:12 scale
PG 00 Raiser is a AWESOME GUNDAM, the build was great!! MASSIVE RECOMMENDATION!!!
OO Raiser was my first PG, skipped over MGs. It was a lot of fun, until I got to the joints in the knees and elbows, having to push that button just to bend a limb by an inch.
They haven't announced anything about it, I believe Syd mentioned an episode or two ago that PGs probably aren't going to be too common anymore because of the tight economy in Japan, they're focusing on putting out cheaper kits at the moment. Maybe we'll be lucky with the release of the final episode towards the end of the year? *shrug*
LOL. True story by the way, a classmate and I decided to watch the Star Wars Holiday Special at the same time (from our own houses) and see who could last the longest. He lasted only 30minutes, and I watched every single last second of it =_= I literally needed to get aspirin once I was done. I showed it to a co-worker, he didn't last 10minutes. I show it to another classmate, he doesn't want to talk to me anymore and hasn't ever since XD
Not to be cocky but making perfect grades is pretty damn easy. Just more runners nothing else, I'd suggest to get perfect grades I've done 5, only time consuming is painting.
plutocuteguy true that man, it really is just more plastic; more parts and more gimmicks. The only real difference is price
I quite enjoyed building the Clear armor PG Strike. I did put on the decals and then sprayed over a clear coat, however it proved more dull then expected so it's lost some of it's shinyness that it had. I am going to see if using a high gloss clear coat can nullify the dullness.
a PG ReZEL would be awesome, huge, and very expensive, but if it could transform without part swapping, it wouldn't have any trouble selling
It took me about 2 months to construct my PG GAT-X105 Gundam Strike!! Take your time and it will look awesome!!
Omg i never bought it would take that long to build a gundam
fred lam Depends upon the look your after, I don't go for that 'factory' finish. Rather battle-worn look, where the Gundam shows damage and a true warrior look! I will in the future upload videos..... Between studies and work!
Oh i tought only building it
fred lam That is up to the builder and limited only by your imagination!
yep :D
Bruhhh that zoid is sick asf!!!
I know they are but their pricing is uhm.. Yeah mg nu ver ka x) ! I wanna get over zero so bad but idk how their plastic quality is so I'm worried. Which is why I stick t watching reviews of them an I stick with my gunpla haha
Man, i really enjoyed this episode great job guys.
I do have a question for syd; do you know what the difference is between a ver. Ka and a regular master grade? Is there a significant change between the two and what does the ka stand for? It has boggled my mind for quite some time and really like an answer so i can be at peace with it hahah!!!!
Always love the show guys. You both remind me of two hobby store clerks that got your own cable access show.
Cheers!
Great episode guys! Love seeing the perfect grade kits and want to build one someday.
I wonder if Bandai has every considered putting out an English version of their hobby magazine? It would be great to advertise and promote all kinds of model kits to a larger market. Japan is the big selling spot for gundam but I imagine doing an English hobby magazine would increase global sales. As proven by this show and other websites there is a large demand for gundam in other countries.
Awesome episode guys. As always!
Yeah I spend much more time than 4 hours on an MG, though you can see that Syd doesn't clean the nub marks or anything, he just cuts the parts out and sticks them straight in and leaves tidying up for when he's gonna paint it.
They're probably waiting for Unicorn to conclude so that they could release a $1000 fully LED's Unicorn PG.
OMG!!! my idea of a video tour of the warehouse was taken...I guess you're welcome Ryan ;) I'm currently studying in international business, specifically in international marketing strategy :) so I'm glad to help out...I guess hahaha...so regardless to that, can you hire me? please please please Ryan, Syd and Mr. Scott lol
How about summer internship? xDDDDD
A question to Ryan or anyone who builds zoids. How pose-able are zoid kits? In the video it seemed like the arm was stiff and didn't move very easily. Is that because the arm doesn't have a good range of motion or did the arm needed to be flex to release the tension?
The more I see Ryan working on the Iron Kong the more I want to try a zoids kit!
The iron long is way bigger than I imagined
am working are my Red Frame painting it PG are so fun to work on can wait for the strike for my birthday
All Wing suits are tiny compared to Universal Century suits. The Tallgeese's stats say it was 17.4 metres tall, compared to the Wing which was 16.3, so yes it was tall suit for its era, however even the original RX-78-2 Gundam was 18 metres, let alone the giant suits that were around during Char's Counterattack, Unicorn etc. The Shinaju is 22.6 metres tall for example. The Wing and G Gundam universes on average have much smaller suits than Universal Century.
i agree. tallgeese mg is a cheap kit and its usually comes down to how much plastic was used for the kit. however there are kits which use more plastic but are cheap like the nu ver ka kit.
They should make a pg force impulse, I love that kit
Would you guys ever think about making an Armoured Core model? maybe Ryan's next model?
1/72 EZ-015 Iron Kong Schwarz Versionfrom Kotobukiya
1/72 Psycho Gene Saurerfrom Kotobukiya
Available at HobbyLink Japan
Hey guys.
Enjoyed the video.
I know you kind of touched on this briefly, but have you actually heard anything definitive from Bandai about if they're planning to continue the PG line or not?
Their apparent silence on the matter over the last couple years is not very encouraging...
I hope you get a reply cause the suspense is killing me!
Hey Ryan & Syd! I just finished watch the show & i was curious about building Char's Rick Dom 1/60 HY2M Glorious series, Is there a difference between the PG & these 1/60 HY2M "glorious series"? Are the Glorious Series still considered perfect grades? Do you guys have any experience building them & or advice building these Glorious series kits? Thanks guys for the answering my questions & for the awesome show.
abdoulaye haidara@ First take your time make sure you have the correct tools and painting equipment (Spray unit, and gundam markers are best), some fine tip Tamiya brushes would be handy. And plenty of scrap plastic to practice on! Remember before you remove the parts of the frames - wash them all in mild detergent and rinse well before air drying: because there's usually some chemical residue left on them, that can effect the painting process. But take your time..
ryan, you put the shoulders on backwards. the pad with the mount is supposed to be on the other side
Great work, I'm jealous!
why do people, (english included), who build gunpla insist on mispronouncing the word decal?
its not de-kul, its dee-cal.
Tomato Tomato same thing
if you're going to be pretentious about pronouncing decal, then actually look up its etymology. decal derives from French décalcomanie. They speak French in Canada. Syd is from Canada...so both pronunciations are acceptable. THIS is how to be pretentious. let these guys talk about gunpla however they want.
Matt Ramos owned
Depends on the country, how do you say Bouy?
@@MRstratman00 Savage
yes, too awesome!
Hi Syd and Ryan, great episode as always. Some PG kits light up also in the cockpit for example the MK2. My question for you guys is what do you think about the new 1/100 KS-6 Kastrysha [kshatriya] by Elyn Hobby Products that's coming out soon? I know its not from bandai but I was curious on what you guys think about it since bandai won't be making one anytime soon, thank you.
The real talk at 12:20 ;)
perfect grade was so coooll sogoi!!!!!!!
They need a new PG soon!!
or the Mobile Suit Gundam UC Bande Dessinee Vol. 8 Limited Edition w/ 1/100 Armed Armor DE [by Katoki Hajime]?
Always wanted to get a PG kit... But the price is so.... >.> so nice. Maybe I should get a pg Strike gundam as start instead of strike freedom?
I commend HLJ for the fast reply on my inquiry regarding wholesale. Sadly I cannot afford it.. yet. :)
Quick question. My 8-year old niece will celebrate her birthday soon and she wishes for her own Gundam. What's a good starter kit for her?
34:37 "You see something, and your brain explodes... And you buy toys."
Just about sums up my experience with Kamen Rider.
Well crud.
Most of your perfect grades are out of stock. Every time a new episode of gunpla tv comes out, the items listed below your videos are almost always gone.
So what's a good perfect grade to start with? I just want something basic with no massive backpacks and can fit in a small space.
Also can't wait for the sinanju ver. ka. I always wanted a sinanju that I don't have to paint.
Hey guys I just started watching and slowly going through the films hoping to learn along the way, but I have two questions. Do you guys think that the msv suits may expand now that we see some of them in Unicorn getting models, and even high mobility zakus now? Im hoping for the original gm cannon to complete my white dingo team suits. My second question is, My last question is do you think that the smaller gundams may get twin hguc packs like ball, and loto units, such as Victory gundam?
hey syd and ryan i was wondering if you guys had any info on the mg age 3 and mg age fx
i just bought the mg age 1 and mg age 2. Keep up the good work.
That would be freaking HUUUUUUUUUUUUEG. Do it nao bandai :D
the Tallgese should be bigger in the show it was a very big suit.
Hi Ryan and Syd, do you know if the LEDs that come with the PG 00 are of the same ones used in the 00 MG kits?
i've never done a zoids model and the 1/72 Geno Breaker custom looking really interesting to me
ive built my fair share of gundams (hg, mg, pg) would the transition to a zoids model be difficult?
PG UNICORN....
That's all I gotta say.
p.s I do wish to get the rx 78 - 2 in pg but gah its like get a bunch of models I want or one pg, I like feeling seems and painting but so many moving parts id worried id bust a pg :(
Hey Syd, are you guys planning to get some of the limited edition Unicron armed armor for the MG Unicorn?
Hello guys, I have a PG wing zero custom, but it doesn't come with a display stand, I've heard something about maybe the PG raiser stands come with some fittings that can make it work with other PG? Do you know of other stands that I could use for him?
i thought a perfect grade would be hard after building about 17 master grade kits i got the pg 00 raiser and i finished the gundam in one day and the 0 raiser the next day in like 3 hours if you have the money get a perfect grade
I'm actually being nice here.
You know you don't have to spam your wishlist on everything you know.
Question... Does the PG Stike or PG Skygrasper come with an action base? Does the clear version have one?
Yes!!! 00 RAISER!!
I built exia in 9 hours.
Its me again the unicornlover, Syd and Ryan i was wondering if you could build this model. This one is for you Ryan do you think you can build a KAMEN RIDER kit the skull face.Syd do you think you can build the kit Gundam Age SPALLOW.If you can show those kits on your channel that would be great. Ryan you may have also found a kit you love
Some of the stuff you were talking about, I'm not sure if you're trying to show the camera or your buddy next to you... Nice show but give the cameraman a chance to show off what you're talking abut
build the PG 00Raiser!
are they planning to make the perfect grade unicorn? because if it is i am rushing my nearest gunpla shop!
syd,are you going to show that shield for MG unicorn/banshee come with UC magz things?
if i wanted to buy the magazines they talk about where could i go to get it?
If you go to hlj .com and go to the magazine section you see all the magazines we have.
ok thanks. i was doing some research and looks like the one i need isn't around. the dengeki hobby mag from may 2001 has the wing zero custom in it but can't find it anywhere
+hobbylink.tv are the magazines sold separately and how much do they cost
they couldnt tell, he was always wearing the red Zaku mask...
What camera do for taking gundam photos for your facebook?
i had almost 6 mg gundam wanted to buy pg soon
Depending where you live they can be costly! Here in NZ they range about 250-400.00 NZ, I imported mine from Hong Kong for about 230NZ about five years ago; I have about 4 PG gundams to build.
I wish I could afford a PG model. :(
Hi Syd and Ryan. I just wanted to ask how was your time w/ rrobbert187 and what you guys do.
i would get a PG, if i had enough money to get it
4 HOURS....... wow.
RG Strike Noir? Bandai, make it. Take my money.
What did Rrobbert184 look like?
00 Raiser >
What do you think the next PG will be?
Pls help me what should i buy 00 raiser pg or strike freedom pg
GameZTril as a owner of both. it really depends on what you want to do with it. the strike freedoms frame is larger, bulky, but easier to assemble. The only hard part would be the dragoon system for the wings.
now the 00, has a complex but sturdy inner frame with lots of different moving parts. and the locking joints make posing tedious.
both require lots of time and patience. both great builds
please answer this so that i can pass away peacefully whn i am old..
yeah, i do agree, smaller parts makes the build more difficult even that i have not build any perfect grade yet, but it's just common sense... i'll stick to master grade...
but hell, i do have the perfect grade eva 01, & it's simply sucks & it's the worst kit i've ever build...
Kong
i want one PG
Is hlj will sell tallgeese2?
I thought GP01 had the largest box on the PGs.
Ahem2002 nope, pretty sure it's 00. It's damned big
How about PG Unicorn awakened + full armor + LED
00 raiser is not recommended for your first PG.
Really? You guys had to make a video explaining PGs gundam kits? How many people had to ask that question before hand?
they shude make a pg heavy arms with a spinning Gatling gun in blue and red 1-3
(Actual) PG Unicorn and Destiny gundam would be cool to see. The 00 raiser and the Strike Freedom gundams are not PGs in my eyes... lack of details, gimmiks and functionality.
NORxDRONExAT01 they still shooed make one for those people out there like me who rally rally want 1
How do I enter the Custom Gunpla Tournament
What is the tallest GD?
hey there, do u have MG Jegan Type D?
its 1/60 scale, so almost twice as big:p
shipping costs from PG are too much
Is he building a ZOID?
I'm 13 and I just built the pg wing zero custom it was very hard any suggestions for a next pg
if want a hard, Unicorn or strike freedom or 00 raiser, they are good, but not to forget GP 01 / FB
Aye, I see you, I'm 13 and I built the MG Double X GUNDAM.
