In this episode we look into the Gundams that have no home. Well, those that don't belong to any specific grade and have become known as No-Grades. Despite not belonging to one of the major product lines the No Grade group of kits has some surprises for builders. Ryan starts on his huge Highend Master Model EZ-015 Iron Kong.

"Keep an eye on my Kong." That really cracked me up. Great work guys thanks for the insight on No Grades. I started Gunpla with the 1/60 NG Gundam Wing then I got the 1/144 NG Gundam Fighter line. Except for the Devil Gundam, I was able to build them all. Other than the God Gundam and the others, I just wondered why bandai did't do anymore HG or MG for this line. Thank you again for a nice show, I will be waiting for the nect one, and the next one........LOL More power.
I like this. Hopefully the next type of video you do is teaching people about the different types of paints and markers.
F91 was supposed to be a full length series, but Tomino couldn't stick working with the crew for multiple reasons. The story was supposed to go on FAR beyond what the movie covers.
When Tomino said he couldn't work like this anymore, they cut their losses and made what they had completed story-wise into that movie. The film, as a result, is nigh incomprehensible; I watched it with some friends before, and they needed constant framing as to how much time had passed since the last scene, etc.
Will be honest, quite tempted by the 1/60 Exia no grade. Did recently build the Nix Providence 1/100, it was a fun kit, more so when you realize it's possible to build the normal Providence with it too.
I have all those kits back from the 90's.

THERE is already a MG wing zero, if you want a TV version of it you will have to wait a lot, since we are still on the MG EW line
Nemo is one of the only green MS you'll ever see? Uhm Zaku I, Zaku II, Leo, Marasai has been animated in green, Gelgoog, Gelgoog Marine, Zaku II F2, There are more, but I just thought that was silly of Syd to say. Watching this episode now, talking about No Grade Strike Freedom Lightening Edition, Syde mentioned "Making a Perfect Grease that lights up is going to be extremely expensive". Bandai did it.... *Stares* at PG Unicorn...
that iron kong torso looks massive and looks more bigger than PG gundam's torso
Thanks for reading my comment. I'm not sure if it was the paint as it was ordinary water based acrylic paint on an enamel base. All i know is they shoulder armour will only stay on with gravity and the arms won't stay bent. It looks ok, I still have it on display. I just think if it as heavily weathered. It's funny you should do a no-grade episode today as in the middle of building and painting the Gundam Ashtaron which is only available in 1/144 no-grade and of course I got it from HLJ!
You pay for the speed. SAL takes fortnights, Airmail takes weeks, EMS takes days (well, roughly). Plus, you can track EMS shipments if you're impatient and want it now now now.
Not sure about if your country has import taxes though, you might want to check that out. Some countries you have to pay x% fees, which might change based on your postage.
The "extra" dragoons are suppose to be thrusters at the providence's hip

Seriously Bandai, you made the SEED boy band, but not the villain?
If Bandai made that Strike Freedom Lightning Edition, it seems plausible that they could do the same (or similar) with the Unicorn Gundam, rather than making a Perfect Grade. The demand is certainly high for a light-up Unicorn Gundam.
Could you please do some diy videos on how to paint and what markers to use? This would be very educational and useful. Thanks for your time.
Not sure what you're complaining about, OO is a few years old and not really hot anymore so no reason to release things for it. Wing has had all the main suits released in MG form over the past year, same with AGE. They haven't been neglected at all.
SEED has been recently re-released in HD (with Destiny coming) and Unicorn is still going which is why they're getting tons of releases. Expect them to be the focus for 2013, in 2014 Gundam: The Origin comes out so it will be big then.
In the defence of 1/100 NG Providence, all the SEED kits at the time lacked articulation compared to today. The lack of upper arm movement, no clear eye parts etc is the same on the SEED HGs, I know this because I'm building a GINN from that era now, it's pretty shabby compared to a current HG. It's about the same quality as the original MG kit... they've come a long way.
No. Just like the MG normal ver, I think bandai will release another one with the wing effect parts as an online exclusive item
I would love it if Bandai produced a 1/100 scale Raphael Gundam, even in a no-grade form.
I guess I will keep on dreaming....
And on a brighter note. I love the no grades. I am definately a "bigger is better" type of guy. And if i can find a bigger model for a good price. Ill definately get those models first. Sure, i would love a pg but that would take some time to save and when i get it, it would be one very lonely model. If you got painting skills, you can detail any model to look good. Ill stick to cheaper plastic for now.

"no grade" isnt a grade at all, its just a label for kits that dont have any other label attached to them. bandai just called them 1/100 or 1/144, it was fans in the West that came up with the "No Grade" phrase.
Dude Wing is in MG line AGAIN, AGE will get MGs later this year AND FOR 00 IT WILL TAKE TIME BECAUSE THIS YEAR IS FOCUS ON UC

I think The Universal Century kits are basically all the mobile kits that exist particularly to that timeline/age. For example ( and I'm sure this is true). You will not find a Gundam Wing kit from a universal century line Because Gundam Wing is from a timeline called "after colony" not universal Century. Syd, its Time to watch the anime(s)

It's a shame they didn't make any No grades for AGE, and I wish they made kits instead of the limb swaping toys.

I do build the old kits from time to time! I kind of like the wonky look :-P. I find it true to the animation that seemed to change proportions of the MS every other scene or so. They are a bit of work, but I get a great feeling of satisfaction when I can make the old glue togethers look decent (better than the kits on the box, seriously, did they not high professional modelers for the promotional box art back then?).

also i believe hguc was actually first to be released not the wing as hguc was released in 98 while hg wing kits 2000 also the no grade release of wing 0 was a re-release as the originals did not come with the little figure you showed my brother bought all the first ones when they was first released and none of them has the little figures just the rereleases

I've watched all your videos and really motivated me to get back into gunpla modding. I'd like to know what is the best way to get supplies from you to my country here in Aruba. (Caribbean) You have different shipping options in your site and i intend to order both gunpla (MG's mostly) and after market supplies (scratch build materials, paints etc). I have no problem on spending money for the massive shipping costs but i do welcome suggestions to make the best for my money.
Recently they've been doing hguc then straight to mg.
So that doesn't really apply much anymore.
you think iron kong is big, well I think you should take a look at gojulas. it has the amount of pieces of 2 perfect grade sets.

I'll say. I wish Bandai would have made 1/100 no grades of the Calamity, Raider and Forbidden gundams from Seed and the Abyss and Gaia from destiny to go along with the Chaos. Seriously, why would they make the Chaos in the first place if they weren't planning to finish the trio. I also would have liked the Gundam Thrones in 1/100 scale as well. I guess the bad guys get no appreciation huh?
1) Mod your MG exia 2) 00 is more popular than exia 3) MG Special forces AGE 2=is not going to happen 4) AGE 3 AND FX ANNOUNCED, as for the others they still have a slim chance
I've got some sets of gunpla that are really old, they don't have a grade....
But as i watched this it seems like it's not a (no grade kit)
The sets i have uses glue... and not much polycaps.

Well I only like the popular designs sooo yeahhhh.
Well of course there's more HG's than MG's. Be practical. Look at the difference between the two. You have to think about what it takes for the designer to make a an MG with the inner frame and all the gimmicks an MG has. Its a lot more easy to make a high grade so that people stay happy.

seed is ce Cosmic Era
00 is Anno Domini era (furture earth)
age is ag Advanced Generation (also future earth)
wing is ac after colony
hgaw and hgfc was released cause it was popular and has no hg lines only no grades...... and aw don't have mg also g series was the first non uc era to have a mg release
