This looks more like something out of Build Fighters than something that actually existed in the Cosmic Era timeline. Especially when it has 2 giant swords that weren't part of the original design that have almost no color separation despite having a lot of detail.
oddly enough, it's not that far off. pilot customization was ver basic, but it got wild as soon as the Alliance got ahold of their own MS production, and in response ZAFT went wild as well.
Yeah easy to say with any CE design after build fighters became a thing.... Lord astray, Ginn gladiator, Aile calamity. Shit even the Eclipse itself looks nothing like anything from CE
@@justan324 they're the thrusters on the Meteor units used by the Freedom and Justice. so technically they didn't copy it from 00, they just kit bashed. hardcore
the one thing that I like about this kit are the parts that hint to the ginn high maneuver type look at the front skirt and the backpack very high maneuver type inspired
not just this GINN imo, so far everything from Eclipse has that vibe, and idk how to feel about that. on one hand, SEED isn't exactly known for its consistency in its mecha design (tho it does still produce absolute banger designs), but these machines so far feel even more out of place, and i just can't seem to place specifically why
The color scheme is why I picked this one up. I like to have a few kits that'll stand out and this one will as long as I don't put it with any thing Char related.

G-self is probably the most closest to having one as others were not designed by him except Epyon but we already had a ver. ka of that through the EW line.

I was genuinely disappointed when i built my MG Ginn, the kit is 100% polystyrene (no poly caps!) and didnt feel like i was building a master grade. Overall felt very under engineered like they just wanted to push a grunt suit out as fast as possible.
Poly caps have a tendency to loosen up, Bandai have been moving towards getting rid of those outside of HGs for some time now. Was the Ginn your first master grade?
@@Krakiolit I’ve only ever built master grades, my first kit was the v.3 rx-78-2. The ginn was around the 9th mg I built. I thought all of the other seed kits that I built up to that point (freedom, justice, strike v.rm, and aegis) were phenomenal kits and the ginn lacked that feel I got from those. It’s also an extremely stiff kit and while posing it is difficult to make small adjustments. ABS is also a good joint material IMO but there was none of that in the ginn.
Hey, mecha do you think mgs and pgs are being fazed out for rgs and hgs? I mean when's the last we saw a pg? And mgs are few a far in between now coming. The focus seems to me on rgs. Which in my opinion are mini mgs and making hgs the bomb now. I really love my mgs because I have Xtra large hands and handling hgs and God forbid a rg terrifies me! I guess as long as we get a barbie lupas mg and a g self mg I will love though.
Mecha how's your collection's situation? i can't imagine with now the backlog series is on its 3rd iterations is your space now become plastics sanctuary? how you're managing that?

Man this kit is ugly. It sat on P-Bandai for over a month before it sold out. It looks less like a "real robot" and more like a kid's super robot design.

I love these they really give cosmic era designs a new flaire
The color separation, especially on the new front skirts, is amazing.
The injection silver actually made it look like brushed aluminum, I like it.
The new skirts make me wish this kit had more white armor with bright red detailing like they do
I absolutely enjoy building the seed zaft grunts MG, can't wait to receive my copy of the Ginn Gladiator.

the Beaks Dagger reminds me of the energy sword from the Halo franchise, given the aspects of it's design.

This kind of looks more like a custom ginn high mobility type than a standard ginn, which is kind of cool actually.
Can easily be customised as Yoshimitsu with a black and neon green paint job.

Katoki don't usually design suit from other universe than UC and AC so we just have to wait
