Gaijin’s last review was likely the PGU/Rg Hi Nu iirc, while he was coping with the recent passing of his father, and had put details about his father in his final review, before the website went offline shortly after he completed the final review.
Man I just looked up his website… I hope he’s doing well I remember reading his reviews when I was younger. Hopefully he’ll eventually bring back his website.
I miss Gunpla Gaijin. He always had very thoughtful reviews.
@@CableTiedagreed. his reviews r spot on. legendary website.
I read this wrong at first an thought Gaikotsu's father died
I remember Sid doing reviews on Hobby Link TV
The MG Force Impulse was my very first model kit and up until now, it's frame has remained solid even after a few years.
Mine, too. The Impulse have a very special place in my heart.
RG Destiny Impulse might be my last Impulse...Shinn's MS(pretty sure he is getting a Gundam based on either Impulse or Destiny) will be the surprise reveal. I built the MG Impulse initial 3 packs in order.
This was my first model kit ever and I even decided to paint the inner frame for an extra challenge getting into the hobby. It was expensive and hard to get in my country, but very much worth it. Besides some bad attachment points on the backpack, it's perfect to this day. Learned a lot from building it and it provided some great giant robot pictures.
Basically the gateway drug into my current massive gunpla collection. lol
This review is right on time. I literally just built the RG Sword Impulse last night and I’ve been in awe. Its my favorite out of the 13 RG’s i have thus far.
Searched up rg sword impulse only to realise it was a p-bandai item 😭
Transformation might look stupid and it is. But can't lie, its pretty genius the way Shin used it to his advantage against the Freedom in the anime
I literally just bought this kit like a week ago!! Havnt built it yet, so im happy this video is out! I love watching these while I build the actual kit
MG Sword Impulse was my first gunpla. Fell in love with it right at the start, and was what launched me into this hobby!
7:36 - Sneaky HG Michealis
man i’ve been tempted to recreate that team-flying shot from the end of the first GSD op, but we need a modern 1/100 saviour!
As an impulse fan i would like to point out that the shield also has an opening gimmick sideways for full aesthetic look of the force impulse transformation and it also prevents the top part from sliding d9wn
I got the P Bandai HG version of the Sword Impulse recently. Loved it. Was decently color separated
This man was searching for what to build next at 1:05 after taking a HUGE amount of time to make a 30 minute mission /armored core 6 mech, mad respect man.😎😎
My girlfriend got me this kit and I’ve been meaning to finish it for some time now! I’ve been adding silver details to all the vents and it’s looks super cool!
Bro. The intro of this video makes me feel... I have since bought this kit after my first watch (yes I've watched it multiple times now) and I'm 3/4 the way through this build and it is awesome!!😊
The swords combined form is what got me to buy it. It's a massive eye catching kit.
MG Impulse design stood the test of time being one of fun kits to build especially Sword Impulse. Also, noticed the Impulse shoulder armor put on backwards.
this is in my backlog and i can't wait to build it. super excited myself.
Wow Gaijin Gunpla! What a memory... I used to check that probably every other day. Totally forgot about it.
Incredible build, the Sword Impulse Gundam truly is legendary! 🤩👏
I've just got into the gundam hobby and this is my first kit. I loved putting it together. I do have a couple of gundam kits from the late 80s/early 90s though.
The Sword Impulse is one of the few CE Gundam kits I actually like, awesome review as always 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
After putting water decals on my Tallgeese, I wanted some for this kit. I had trouble finding them for both this and the Force Impulse. I ended up ordering them directly from Delpi’s site and it didn’t take too long to get them. Would absolutely recommend Delpi’s decals.
I remember the times when I waited for updates on the Gunpla Inochi blog. The mostly straight builds and amazing photos (sometimes including fan fiction battles) were a treat.
Gunpla Inochi, it was my first go--to gunpla review site when I was just starting back in 2011. Really love his review of MG Infinite Justice, he did some really cool poses and shots of the kit.
IMO Sword Impulse should've been Shin's go-to mobile suit. Anything cool he did was in Sword Impulse. Relly would've differentiate the Impulse from the Strike.
Oooh there's a discussion/argument waiting to happen. Arguably the most iconic scene for the Impulse is in the fight against the Freedom. While he does wield of the swords, it's the Force Impulse, not the Sword Impulse.
:D
lol impulse can use silhouette packs while strike can't use striker packs without that plane thing
I have always been in love with that model cause it was the first gunpla i did back in 2013. Remember that i got it for my birthday and since i have never seen any gundam series i just started with build fighters. Since that day i have been in love with gundam xd
no joke, this was the 3rd model kit i ever build and my first real gundam kit
i did not appreciated it as much as i should've had
The site's last known review is the RG Hi-V based on its FB post, though after that, no more info
Bruh I built this like last week and I absolutely love it, its gorgeous and looks amazing in poses
great job i brought in 2009 started and stopped and left off for years finally i found one and jumped on it ready to start
That double sword back to back reminded me of the MG Buster Gundam with those giant cannons.
I should thank you Mecha, you gave me motivation to start one of the best hobbies in the UNIVERSE, ever since October of 2021 I've been building gunpla. You should see my collection so far!. Your reviews are helpful and educational, can I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I've watched every review that you've ever done. This review was very helpful because I've been meaning to do this kit for a while. So I definitely know what kit I'm building next month along with the perfect grade OO. Over 45 kits built so far HG, RG, MG, MGEX, PG
45 damn that's a lot
Ah, a fellow addict I see!
dude this is awesome, i checked like a week ago for a review of this kit bc it’s my brother’s favorite suit and i wanted to gift it to him. i got it anyway and it arrives today of all days😂 so cool
What timing!
This video is really making me want to build mine. Sword Impulse is my favorite Gundam from SEED.
Cant go wrong with an Impulse! Thats one kit i have yet to build. I just added it to my wishlist.
yeah the silhouettes, but I put it on my eclipse
Loved the real grade force impulse, might have to pick this up later
Mines held up really well over the years, as it's more than 5 years old and held the same pose in all that time. The combined swords held up and pointed down, looking like it's lunging at a ship and aiming to stab down into it. On a base, for that mid air lunge.
Awesome presentation. A fitting review for a legendary kit⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Still remember the videos of you deciding to move out from japan, i wish there'll be more of you sharing your story so far in person
that was on my list before, but as I went on hiatus this video rekindled my long-lost longing for this kit 😅😅, I agree a lot of people don't like the Seed/Seed Destiny storyline but we have to admit that all the gundam designs are all badass
I picked this kit up a while back and as soon as I finished the weapons I was like HOLY MOLY THIS IS SO COOL THE SWORDS GO BIG!!! (Not it was my second MG and twelfth gunpla)
I have the MG Force Impulse and it's great. Can confirm that the inner frame really makes it solid due to the ABS plastic. Judging by this review, I really think it's about time I get this Sword variant. Something about its coloring that really makes it look good. You know how some Gunpla doesn't really look great when you see pictures of it on the internet until you've actually built it yourself? That's how I felt with the Strike Freedom and Force Impulse until I've actually built them. However, for some reason, that's not the case here. The Sword Impulse already looks good just by looking at it based on pictures and in this review and I feel that it will look even better in person once I've actually built it myself.
"Explode em into a million pieces, optional"
I'm dead.
I have this on my wishlist for my birthday, glad you made a video on it lmao
I've got this guy in my backlog. Same with been meaning to get around to building it lol. The only issue I have is the waist because of how the Gundam is designed for its transformation gimmick. Other than that I really like the Impulse and its variants.
ive got strike noir..i think thats legend..the design, poses, etc just perfect for me
I recently built the MG Force Impulse. The only disappointing about it was the lack of color accuracy on the Core Splendor (some bits that need to be color-corrected with paint are visible even when docked in MS mode). Other than that it's indeed very solid for a one-and-a-half decade old kit, as you've said.
I am surprised you r just now building it. I love the sword impulse MG.
I missed some clues because I'm too focused on the kit review. This MG line including Wing line has that solid inner frame makes you build it ever and ever again. It just won't age, besides the fact that it still uses polycap joints. But, it doesn't kill the deal. Still impressive kit upto now.
Wow the mg sword impulse Gundam boxart and kit so amazing one day I will had this amazing kit
This was also a kit Iv wanted for over a decade, and just never found the time to pick up. At the time Bandai was really shoveling loads of MG onto the market so I kept pushing it back. Fast forward to this year, I was really determined to pick it up and sure enough as if by destiny, the pbandai RG Sword Impulse was announced. Now Im patiently waiting until next month when that bad boy gets here along with the RG Crossbones X2
woahhh... Gunpla Inochi and Gaijin Gunpla! Did not expect to get hit in the nostalgic feels from this video!
MG impulse force/sword/blast is neat and simple looking
Did it bother anyone else that the beam boomerangs were upside down on the Gundam? Glad they figured it out, it was really bugging me.
The original MG Sword Impulse was my first ever MG Gunpla, I enjoyed making it but it always bugged me that the beam sabers it came with were bent and didn't come straight like the updated version.
Great as always and can't wait for the rg epyon review
for me whenever I see MGs that got 2.0 fingers I'm gonna love it. I always dream of seeing GM with that kind of fingers and now they got 3.0 ver makes me wanna see more 3.0 MGs.
you forget about the shield, the white part can also be extract to make a hole in each side and make the shield more cool.
I saw this kit at comic con today and was tempted to grab it
I was considering getting this gundam but I didn't have enough money so I had bought the MG strike rouge ootori which is also a pretty cool set I hope he does a review of it eventually and i plan on getting this kit and the MG freedom soon.
I just bought a MG rx 78 2 from 2000 in hobby lobby and ngl i have high hopes for the old models
my 1st master grade. still my fav gunpla with swords
next time i get the sword variant i will try to put my maximum effort and just make it even more cool, thanks for the review btw
Finally! He did it! I thought he will never do this.
I bought this kit on Amazon for like $27 a few years back and it's still in my backlog lol.
I LUV this kit and I have painted it base on the RG color. The only issue I have is the core silhoutte wing fin they broke during assembly it is so fragile.
Sword Impulse Gundam aged like fine wine, its one of the most solid kit and a must have if you wanna collect its variants. The only downside are the hands but 3rd party manipulators can fixed that.
I recently build this kit it’s an amazing kit
i wish there was still as much Gunpla available here. even the big box stores have barren shelves now
This one kinda looks like Starsaber from the Japanese Transformers Victory Anime!
For me, the legendary gunpla which i was gonna built but never got the intention to is MG Destiny Extreme Blast. I bought it like almost 8 years ago, always watch review about it but never really build it🤣
HG Gundam Lfrith Recirculation Color (Black Pink) is lurking in the corner. Can't wait for you to review it. And hope to win a kit
I literally got one of these last week lol how sick
The Force Impulse MG collection should all be Gundarium Tier they broke the mold for Gunpla and were far ahead of their time like a lot of 2.0 MG kits !!!!
I love all the impulse kits, minus the Blast impulse backpack because of it's paint.
Finally I was waiting for you to review this kit! I’ve been thinking of getting it for a long time. The RG is whatever, it’s still kind of odd that this is regular release while the RG is P-Bandai. I wish there were more kits as old as this one that held up super well, unfortunately the MG Strike E+IWSP is super loose when you attach the backpack, and I’m not sure if any of you have built it but yhe MG Crossbone Full Cloth is a *shitshow.*
all my master grades from the mid 00s have all but crumbled to dust. Destiny, infinite justice, exia, the lot of them. the only ones that survive to this day are my original EW Wing zero, and old reliable Master and God Gundam. I never got this guy, but i might now, seeing as how he's emblematic of the only good part of Destiny.
would you go back living in Japan ?
thank you for always amazing presentation of the Gunpla and motivation to BUY more xD
I know this was awesome kit... Hopefully i will get mine this month...
I just started my first mg kit earlier today. The strike freedom 2.0
Have to get this and the RG.
MG Impulse does age like wine, truly.
Giveaway clue:
12:11 Gundam Aerial
also the lfrith pbandai recolour right at 0:07
Great review! Please PLEASE review the Motor Nuclear model kits
This is one of the first kits I ever built. Ridiculous transformation in the anime, but very slick looking kit
I just finished building the sword impulse gundam yesterday 😅
This was my first mg
I want this kit to go with my MG Justice and Freedom.
Just gotta get through my back log first tho.
thinking about Gundams with unique colors, I would also say look at the HG Gundam AGE FX sometime, as it's the only main Gundam with no red on it.
I wish the RG came with a striker pack adaptor, I'd love to stick the sword or launcher pack on my impulse
Finally he has it
I ended up picking up a MG Sword Impulse after this review
Reviewing older kits heck yeah!
Can you make a video on posing perfect grade Gunpla? Possibly can you do a ranking of perfect grade
Second comment, I've been wondering, if anyone knows, cause I watched TWFM series recently but vaguely, why has Barbatos been missing an arm? Is it a clue to Elnora/Prospera? Why is it missing?
I've wanted to try a Master Grade but I haven't found one that really speaks to me, and the suits that I do like don't really have very good Master Grades as I understand it. Those suits being the Zeta and Unicorn(s). The Kämpfer heavy was one I was interested in but that's a P-bandai so it'll be difficult to grab now, I'm sure I'll find one eventually that speaks to me and won't be a terribly painful build or pain in the ass to pose
The MG Zeta Ver Ka was a blast. I really enjoyed it.
Shinn could have used Sword Impulse more often in GSD, hopefully Luna Maria gives Sword Impulse more screen time in the new GSF Movie.
I miss Syd. Loved it when he was hosting HLJTV with Ryan
elongated legs remind me of endless waltz, the true pioneer of ridiculously long gundam legs haha
Yo a couple of questions!
Can you do comparisons of all the EVA 01 and RX-78-2's? I'm a big fan of both but I'm always overwhelmed by all the different options cause they've been done so many times
and what do I do when I think I have clues for the giveaway? will that be at the end of the month?
the most impressive thing about gundam impulse in general, is some mofo in the future, made good enough automatic balancer for each parts during their detached form.
I know Coordinator is a thing, but still that was impressive at heck.
not sure if you've done one yet but can you do a review on the MG double X ??
visit gundam base tokyo last aug and they have this kit on shelf
tempted to buy, but what i really want is the mg freedom 2.0 which is unfortunately out of stock
