I love how crap your nub removal is. I'm being serious. Most gunpla YTers make their models world cup worthy... Making the hobby seem hard and laborious. You on the other hand don't care about perfection, you care about how a hunk of plastic can make you happy. I would do well to remember that. I actually want to play with my Gundam. How happy this hobby makes you is evident in every video. I need to remember that I do this to be happy, not to win a world cup. Keep being you bro. I bought both this and exia because of your vids. yo im about to crack open my P-Strike. any tips? im not looking to try and be a world cup potential. ive built multiple MGs
@@Memeamyoto621 depends on how crazy you wanna get. Me? I recommend a $35 godhand(one with blade on only one side) surgery sharp xacto blades, and there are a couple places on the armor you can melt sprue(with Gundam glue) and use the paste to cover up seam lines. Be careful tho, because those 2 parts will never come apart again. P strike is very forgiving, not like exia or grandaddy. It's a great kit to test your airbrush skills, not a single part is hard to paint.

@@Memeamyoto621 IMO, you probably don’t need much. I won a PG Red Frame that had a red Bandai logo, and the plastic was a joy to work with. I built the frame first and put the armor on later to break up the build process, but in the end it looks amazing without a whole lot of effort. The most effort I put in was with the Gerbera Straight’s plated parts; I just used some paint markers to cover up the nubs on those. Oh, and cleaning up the fingers is a bit of a hassle, but well worth the effort.

I always wondered how model kits work under Toy story work.
Are they sentient as separate runners, with no mouth as they must scream?

Gundam Seed is one of my favorite series, and I've never noticed that the Sword Strike backpack and the back of the AGNI have a battery attached. Huh
It's a new feature for the Perfect Strike to counterbalance the additional weight and power use. They can be ejected as needed when depleted.
@@CarolusMagnus2501 Some people missed it because the battery has the same colour as its striker pack. The PG version is more noticeable because it uses white battery for all packs.
That Gundam right there is from Remastered Seed. The OG Gundam Seed doesn't have the Perfect Strike Gundam..

Absolutely, its frame is still superb, even by 2020 standard.
Actually the kit was released in 2004. No ideas why Mecha said 2005.
Still the best frame of any kit, which extends to the Astray since it's essentially the same frame just covered in bulky armor, but retains alot of the flexibility.
@@kivulifenrir Nope, the PG Astray Red Frame is badly done even when the best frame was used. Can't believe they screwed up that. Should just make a sleeker MG like proportion and new frame for that so they can milk dozen of PG Astray variants.

Maybe the tier system needs some reworking if there’s conflict between a “perfect gold tier” and gundarium tier. Maybe a middle tier for perfect kits that don’t do anything new should be renamed Gundarium but mold-breaking Mecha are relabeled as “Newtype” kits

If you want some more shiny silver you could go for the Molotow Liquid Chrome marker and from my experience it is really good just make sure it dries since it is essentially just chrome paint in a pour/pump style marker.
Awesome video as always and I'm probably gonna set aside some money for my first perfect grade now :D

I dunno, I always loved the strike more than the freedom. Which was why I was so happy when they showed the perfect strike. Love it
Well the Strike had alot more features and modes while the Freedom while more powerful was just a single all purpose suit that was always the same
Double Gold is great because the Gundam itself breaks no new grounds being a 15y.o. kit but is still pretty much a topnotch PG. It's how Bandai worked around it and maxed out the capabilities of the new packs which makes it sooooo good. I only wished they released this years earlier.

If I had to offer a suggestion to the Grading system, you could always put a plus or minus after the core rating to suggest that its of that quality but it leans toward this grade as well. Like for me the RG Unicorn is a solid Gold tier kit but with its many flaws it pushes it towards a more Gold Minus tier.

Possible it only has minor changes from the original PG. Unlike the RX-78-2 Unleash, it has a lot of major improvements from the old RX-78-2. Double Gold is not a low rank.

Speaking of Strike Gundams, I use an amalgamation of Strike Gundams in Gundam Battle. While the parts are tuned to 4 stars, the only thing different is that it's carrying a 5 star RX-78-2 beam rifle and a 5 star IWSP Striker Pack.
I think you should be able to connect the battery pack chain of the perfect backpack to the base to make it slightly more stable.
Also, did you consider building Full Metal Panic models? They would look funny next to PG Gundam models, considering they are the same 1/60 scale.

weird, ive been painting my frames with metallic black for years. they look exactly like that, so i guess it saves me some trouble.
What are the dimensions of this kit? I’m trying to see if it would fit inside one of the slots on my detolf displays from IKEA. Looks like the add ons makes it not fit
I use a extremely fine grade sanding pad to remove the nubs and then I use a metal polish to restore the shine.
