I recommend a $35 godhand(one with blade on only one side) surgery sharp xacto blades, and there are a couple places on the armor you can melt sprue(with Gundam glue) and use the paste to cover up seam lines. Be careful tho, because those 2 parts will never come apart again. P strike is very forgiving, not like exia or grandaddy. It's a great kit to test your airbrush skills, not a single part is hard to paint.
@@Memeamyoto621 IMO, you probably don’t need much. I won a PG Red Frame that had a red Bandai logo, and the plastic was a joy to work with. I built the frame first and put the armor on later to break up the build process, but in the end it looks amazing without a whole lot of effort. The most effort I put in was with the Gerbera Straight’s plated parts; I just used some paint markers to cover up the nubs on those. Oh, and cleaning up the fingers is a bit of a hassle, but well worth the effort.

I always wondered how model kits work under Toy story work. Are they sentient as separate runners, with no mouth as they must scream? Do they feel us painfully birth them into existence as we nip them from the runners? Or are they only birth as we complete them? Do two combine into one personality if we kitbash? Or are we killing two to make a new personality? It keeps me up at night man.
Maybe the tier system needs some reworking if there’s conflict between a “perfect gold tier” and gundarium tier. Maybe a middle tier for perfect kits that don’t do anything new should be renamed Gundarium but mold-breaking Mecha are relabeled as “Newtype” kits

Double Gold is great because the Gundam itself breaks no new grounds being a 15y.o. kit but is still pretty much a topnotch PG. It's how Bandai worked around it and maxed out the capabilities of the new packs which makes it sooooo good. I only wished they released this years earlier.
Possible it only has minor changes from the original PG. Unlike the RX-78-2 Unleash, it has a lot of major improvements from the old RX-78-2. Double Gold is not a low rank.
For reference, a standard bottle of wine is 12 inches tall, so that sword (and the big gun!) are longer than a bottle of wine! Great review, Mecha! Now I have to debate if I want this or to wait for the NEW PG RX-78-2!

I don't get why they called the sword strike's sword the schwert gewehr. I mean, there's no ranged weapons (besides the boomerang), let alone a rifle. (For anyone who's confused, here are the translated names of the sword strike parts) - mydas messer = mydas knife - panzer eisen = iron armour - schwert gewehr = sword rifle
I am late but I think the reason the sword is called that is because the original design is supposed to have a beam rifle built in instead of another beam emitter on the pommel. The one used on the strike is a prototype, the one with the extra beam emitter.
If I had to offer a suggestion to the Grading system, you could always put a plus or minus after the core rating to suggest that its of that quality but it leans toward this grade as well. Like for me the RG Unicorn is a solid Gold tier kit but with its many flaws it pushes it towards a more Gold Minus tier.
My favorite part of this video is when he’s making size comparisons between the perfect strike and other perfect grades and you core gundam in the background.😂
If you want some more shiny silver you could go for the Molotow Liquid Chrome marker and from my experience it is really good just make sure it dries since it is essentially just chrome paint in a pour/pump style marker. Awesome video as always and I'm probably gonna set aside some money for my first perfect grade now :D
Speaking of Strike Gundams, I use an amalgamation of Strike Gundams in Gundam Battle. While the parts are tuned to 4 stars, the only thing different is that it's carrying a 5 star RX-78-2 beam rifle and a 5 star IWSP Striker Pack.
Perfect perfect of all perfects, as it is an existing kit that has held its life for over 15 years with all the equipment it truly needs. Grand Slam may be filler, but it can be negligible because of the Schwert Gewehr.

(sucks so few kits have pgs)
welp, Turns out bandai is releasing the perfect strike parts in their own 1/144 scale option sets (sword and launcher in one, aile in the other). so your search has become a lot cheaper, since they're all compatible with the EG strike (doesn't come with aile pack, so no garbage either) Just gotta wait for april...

This gundam is the perfect perfect but the only flow to me is that Bandai removed his grand slam sword in this version... I was really hoping to have that sword in this version as well.

To be fair strike freedom PG came out years after the anime, and Barbatos just released a MG 4 years after the anime, since the internal structure is very different. A PG barbatos won't be any time soon

Gundam Seed is one of my favorite series, and I've never noticed that the Sword Strike backpack and the back of the AGNI have a battery attached. Huh
It's a new feature for the Perfect Strike to counterbalance the additional weight and power use. They can be ejected as needed when depleted.

I use a extremely fine grade sanding pad to remove the nubs and then I use a metal polish to restore the shine.
To clear nub markage of plated parts, you could use chrome Gundam marker
