Fwak bro !! True story 👏
I cant imagine moving to another country at 16 and learning that country's language well enough to earn a PhD in a scientific field taught in that language, then, on top of that, creating a business that gets a shark tank deal. that's damn impressive
Yes it was damm impressive. going to another City or country without any support requires a lot of guts i believe.
Not really that hard tbh
But inspiring nonetheless

As a First generation Latino, I salute and bow to Juan. He mentioned coming to the states at 16, not only did he become an entrepreneur but Juan earned a lot of knowledge. Being a first generation always extremely hard, learning the language, adapting to a new country.. wow ! I salute Juan !
its hard but it can propel you if you put your mind to it...

It's a necessary thing to have one or several fixed goals to reach when you work so hard.
One was education and the other was to take all the stress out of the intellect by body building.
Healthy mind in a healthy body.
We have to really respect Juan for trying hard to negotiate, I'm sure the pressure on the founders is always crazy when they're in the tank.

@@armorplates8848 120 cal,5 gm protein with carbs is a great deal, can fill up that evening time,in diet one must be experimental and quality matters,if you are on calorie deficit and eating good quality food with all the essential nutrients, who cares if it's from salads,or anything, you have to be smart in diet, hardly took any salad and still lost weight, it's just about food management.
I got the same ones! They taste like Cocoa Puffs the fiber cleaned out my gut. And def feel an energy boost
Yo mark was already familiar with the product. What are the odds of that.
It's not uncommon something health based would only be sold at niche markets that are testing the product out at lower shelving fees, those also happen to be the franchises that sell them at higher mark-up which also tend to carry healthier options. and Dallas is one of the main areas that those places usually test those products.
Especially Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Sprouts and Gelson's
Then you got Cuban who also happens align with the Gluten-Free, Low Carb ideal which is probably shared by his wife. Cuban happens to live in Dallas.
So the odds of that happening is basically all the 5 things lined up that made it possible. Once you get into a new habit you tend to notice things more. I started a Keto-Diet, first week I had a hard time knowing what I can eat from a label, after a month into it I can glance at a product and know what is healthy for Keto.

Very much unlike Kevin O'Leary, Mark Cuban's most impressive quality is his ability to read scenarios properly.
You would see how different Mark & Kevin have been on various contemporary topics (Tesla, Bitcoin, etc)
Cuban quietly listens. Then he takes a position. And he holds the position. He doesn't go around making uninformed bold statements only to then flip flop on his decision afterwards.
He didn't hold his position. He in creased his offer with 100K.
@@dutchdna
If you read my comment in its entirety, you should see his "position" in that context was, *"I BUY this business"* .
Increasing his offer is in fact holding his position.
By contrast, Kevin O'Leary said Bitcoin was a "big giant nothing burger", then 3 weeks later he started parading himself around as a Bitcoin bull. Which shows that he can take a position on things he knows nothing about.
Mark Cuban literally said he'd rather have bananas then Bitcoin then u-turned when the price exploded.
@@EGarrett01
This is different from calling it a "big giant nothing burger".
Plus he actually OWNED Bitcoin at the time he said that.
And what he meant was the utility of Bitcoin as a currency.
@@RotimiOrimoloye There's no difference at all between calling it a nothingburger and saying you'd rather have bananas. You can buy a penny worth of Bitcoin so "owning" it doesn't mean much. And his assessment of Bitcoin's having no "intrinsic value" is stupid and wrong. Scarce and unfamiliar items have reputational value for people, they show you can go to new places and have the strength, confidence, intelligence or curiosity to find new things. So we have the urge to display them to others when we find them. I know this rugpulls your post but I genuinely hate idiots like Cuban who insulted something that is infinitely beyond them in its value to the world.
