Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed this little change of pace from a narrated video to just having the sounds of the shop. It's always fun to do one of these more simple projects.
White Oak is ok for cutting boards? I'm new to woodworking, have made a couple projects but ATM cant afford any woods like walnut, ect. I have an abundance of white oak I hade given to me and also some maple but I assumed oak is no good for boards because it is so porous
Yeah, it isn't the best wood and normally not used. I planned on using this only for cutting bread or more as a serving tray so I wasn't too worried about the porous nature of the wood. If you have maple I would for sure use that over the oak.
Sometimes it does take more time setting up the camera/shot then it does measuring and cutting. It isn't too bad but does make the whole process take a little longer.
Love hand tools 😍 nice cutting board , thanks for sharing 👍.

Very nice job! Looks like oak. If so, what kind?

@@DaughtersWoodCo Appreciate the reply. Thank you for your input.
Cool project. Does setting up the camera take way more time than measuring and cutting?
