I have finally found a you tube demonstration of crocheeting with Sashay that I CAN UNDERSTTANd!!!!! Thank u so very much. I know how to cochet and have learnt the short way to do that, but could never find the tutorial like yours. I am going to start to make one of these right away. I find that you tube can pick up and use other peoples paterns, but yours is so easy to follow, I'm going to start one right away, having your video close at hand. Again thank you so VERY much!!!!!
I watched this video a few times before I started to make it today.. I opened the yarn and wrapped it around an empty water bottled. The yarn was very easy to work with. The scarf came out beautiful.. I will be making more for Christmas gifts.. Thanks again for this video..
Thanks to your very simple instructions I completed my first ever ruffle scarf yesterday. Took more than 2 hours but now I'm on fire for making these and I'm sure it won't take long at all for me to get that down to 2 hours :)
Thanks for such a great tutorial! I just bought some yarn today and was about to cry reading the knitting directions that came with it. You make this look so easy! Going to go give it a shot now! Thanks again! :)
THIS was the BEST TUTORIAL I have seen with the sashay ruffle scarf!! I don't usually knit anything, unless it is on a ring with pegs! So, thank you!! I feel FAR MORE confident in making this scarf now!! 💝
I about to start my first scarf ever because I'm stuck indoors due to the blizzard. Your video is very easy to follow and the directions are clear. Thank you.
thank you for making such a simple instruction video on this. All the other ones ive watched were too complicated. This was perfect! Thank you so much!
I am a crocheter! I could not figure out the crochet patterns for this scarf. So I used the knitting method, which fit with my basic knitting skills (knit and purl) never have made anything by knitting. I have made 8-10 scarves by knitting and given away for gifts, everyone loves them. Being 5' I find the scarves pretty long. Knitting pattern on the skein wrapper says use 6 stitches or for shorter 10, found 10 stitches was bulky. NOW hurray you make it look so easy! Going to try this TODAY!
This is a great video and tutorial. I thought this would be difficult to make so I watched several tutorials and liked this one the best. I bought several skeins of the sashay yarn and love doing this. One thing that I learned is that when you go to pull the stitch through all the other stitches, be sure that the other stitches on your hook are all in a straight line with none of them crossing over each other. This makes it easier to pull that one stitch through all the others! Thanks for sharing this! I will be checking out any other videos that you made.
I LOVE YOU! I can hear the passion and excitement in your voice and its inspiring! Once youre hooked youre hooked! Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Awesome tutorial!! I rec'd this yarn and needles as a gift yesterday and couldn't wait to get started. Your instructions were so easy! I am well on my way to my 1st ruffle scarf! :)
Thank you so much! I watched multiple videos like this trying to understand, but you taught the best. Very easy to follow, and I have now made my first ruffle scarf! :) Keep up the good work!
Great tutorial. I never skipped one like you showed, but I might just try it if it makes it easier. At the end, I just pull it through and tie a few knots. They don't show. Also, if I have to stop for any length of time that I get a clothes pin and secure the last loop to the crochet hook. Works great! Especially on a thicker hook.
GREAT video!!!! So easy and simple to follow. Other video's I've seen can be confusing. The knitted version is not for me. I've already made one scarf following your instructions and it came out beautiful. Thanks soooo much.
Video was great! Always wondered what to do with this yarn. Helpful tip, when chaining on, chain from the back to front, then grab the one your pulling thru from the front to back, you'll have a much easier time pulling thru all at once.
Oh my god. I watched a video of the same thing but I different style I swear to the life of my I was going to quit and donate the skeins I bought to someone that could use it but this is so much easier and ugh you are a life save thank you.
Thank you so much! I don't know how to knit or crochet what so ever but have always wanted to know how to be the ruffle scarf! I think even a dummy like me could do this!
This is a great way to do a ruffled scarf, and I want to thank you for this great video, only my issue is trying to get the last loop to go through the others! I will try your method. Thank you again.
With some yarns, I find it easier and quicker to pull through a loop or two at a time, instead of trying to go through all 10 at once. Thank you for this video!
Thanks for the tutorial! I just picked up a couple of skeins of this and found out there were only knit instructions with it. (By the way: it's 'skein" of yarn and a crochet "hook" ;-) )
Loved this video! Just finished my first scarf and can't wait to start another one! I thought the water bottle idea that was commented was brilliant and it worked like a charm! Only thing I didn't understand was how she gets two 2yd scarfs from one skein?? I was only able to get one 2yd scarf from a 35yd skein.... hmmmmm.
I'm using my sisters account to this isn't the person who owns it but your teaching is really good! I just started trying to make them and they are turning out well! also i you want it thicker don't you add more to it? Good teaching!
Thanks for sharing! I made some last year, but I knitted them. Now that I know I can use crochet, I am making more for sure. How many balls do you suggest I use? Thanks again!
I prefer using a size F hook. It is smaller and comes thru the off loops better. I also squeeze my loops together and hold at the bottom of them while pulling the hook thru. Another hint, turn the hook facing downwards when pulling thru....hope this helps.....
I have 3 balls of sashay yarn, 1-20yards; 1-30yards; 1-35 yards; how many scarves can I make with each ball of yarn and how can I hide the ends. This is the easiest and one of the prettiest scarves I've seen. I am only a beginner but this is the easiest things I've done.
I love this way because you're going through each hole instead of skipping a hole. Going to give it a try now...Thank You!!

Thank you so much! I watched multiple videos like this trying to understand, but you taught the best. Very easy to follow, and I have now made my first ruffle scarf! :) Keep up the good work!
Excellent tutorial, so much easier than the struggle I had trying to knit one of these scarves -- and I'm a good knitter, too!
Great tutorial. I never skipped one like you showed, but I might just try it if it makes it easier. At the end, I just pull it through and tie a few knots. They don't show. Thanks so much for posting this video! I seriously threw the knitting needles across the room. This I definitely can do :)
GREAT video!!!! So easy and simple to follow. Other video's I've seen can be confusing. The knitted version is not for me. I've already made one scarf following your instructions and it came out beautiful. Thanks soooo much.
I'm glad I found your video. It is best video I have seen. I have not made scarf yet but plan to. :)

This yarn is also great for arm knitting scarfs!! :)

great video. easy to follow :-)
Thanks for the tutorial! I just picked up a couple of skeins of this and found out there were only knit instructions with it. (By the way: it's 'skein" of yarn and a crochet "hook" ;-) )
I use a knit marker when walking away from work, and I also stick on a knitting needle tip cover at the other end so stitches don't drop off :)
Thank you so much for posting this.
I wish I had seen this a VERY long time ago! I have been knitting these and WHOA, that is a lot of work compared to this!
Thank you this helped me out allot
Thank you I just got ten skeins at my dollar store.
Loved this video! Just finished my first scarf and can't wait to start another one! I thought the water bottle idea that was commented was brilliant and it worked like a charm! So fun and VERY easy!!!!
great tutorial thx a bunch
Thanks for sharing! I made some last year, but I knitted them. Now that I know I can use crochet, I am making more for sure. How many balls do you suggest I use? Thanks again!
How long are the scarves? How do I make if I want it 56 in long? Can I get two out of one skein? Love your tutorial--really helped me
I love this idea, just out of curiosity what size needle are you using? I just love the results your getting from it.
Ahhh I can do it!!!!! Ty ♥️♥️♥️
Great info
Thank you for this :)
Seems easy to follow and may be better than knitting
thank you so easy
If I may suggest? I use a latch hook. Once I switched I don't get caught on the small threads and all of them pull right through.
I, literally, got my hook for .25 at a thrift store.
since you are not skipping every other hole does the finished scarf result in a tighter scarf as opposed to a looser one?
This looks so easy! Are we sure its legal? :)
I prefer using a size F hook. It is smaller and comes thru the off loops better. I also squeeze my loops together and hold at the bottom of them while pulling the hook thru. Another hint, turn the hook facing downwards when pulling thru....hope this helps.....
One question, in the beginning you don't skip then you skip one so the next line you skip two then three and soo on., or you only skip one each time?
I like this scarf. I made nearly 5 to 6 scarves and gave to my church members. Would like to sell them? Can I do that?
You can sell anything you make. It's not a pattern...it's how to crochet with this yarn...and the scarf is what results.
Thank you.
Thank you very much
