Bino, I learned to climb from you. I really need to tell you: the love you put into these videos shows you are kind, generous, and comforting. I just love watching your videos because of the joy and comfort I feel watching your demonstrations of tools/skills. I started many years ago and your videos gave me the knowledge to be confident trying something new. With all of my heart, thank you so much. ❤️
The way you say 'behind my rope, back into the bight' the cadence, is how I speak to myself every time I tie this hitch :D Also, this and the arbsession hitch are my favorites!

Thank you very much! Take care!
God bless you both
Bino, your a scholar and a gentleman.
Thank you!

Cool! I have not tried the Arbsession Hitch yet.
@BinoH very similar in how to tie it, a bit simpler, but very compact and responsive
One of my favorites to use because of its reliable quick grab as it creates almost a full 90 bend in the life line. Thanks again for sharing Bino!!!
You're welcome, Take care!
Been climbing with the catalyst for a while now. Works awesome
Good to hear, thanks for sharing!
And please involve what material rope you use for the prusik or your climbing rope
The Prusik is HRC 8mm cord and the rope is Blue moon.
Dang I need to learn all these knots lol.
Cool and when you do you can use the ones that best suite your climbing style.
Thank you for this video i was hoping to do a knots class and i’ll be sure to show this video :)
You're welcome and thank you!
i’m new, like the vid, but what is the pulley’s use?
The helps tend the friction hitch.
So you can do SRT with this knot? Without any extra gear?
I don't believe so but it would work with a rope wrench.
Bino, how long is that eye and eye hitch cord?
30" and 8mm HRC cord.
Thanks big guy. I'll give this hitch a try. It looks to function well for you😁
Tanya? Kalau tali yang didalamnya ada kawatnya apa nama tali itu
The rope is Bluemoon no wire in it.
Only function of the snatch block (that term always amuses me) is to keep the carabiner following close to the main rope?
Gunanya untuk apa
Tree climbing it's a friction hitch.
Please involve prusik lengths
thanks
Is the rope you're making the hitch with a manufactured item or did you make it?
Manufactured. It is an HRC 8mm cord.
@@BinoH thanks.
Yang di buat melilit itu tali apa
It's an HRC prussik cord 8mm and 30 inches long.
Saya coba prusik 10mm tidak dapat mencengkram
@@almahrus3834 What hitch and length of cord?
Prusiknya keras
Nice friction hitch
I'm glad you like it!
30” inch cord?????
Yes!
Very reliable grab and easy to loose
Nice, thanks for sharing!
Interesting.
Glad you think so!
looks safer than a VT
Yes if safe as long as it's tied proper.
Isn’t that basically a distel.
No a Distel is closer to a Tuaghtline hitch.
Tendi nada
Cerebro do macaco nao da pra entender nao
Seems like a prusik knot to me
It's quite a bit different the Prussik. In the prussik the legs would end in the middle and same direction.
And the prusik dont open as easy when you try and push it up
