Can you post about tyrese Maxey’s injury? Also thoughts on how at least 2 players have landed on other players feet in last nights games. There was tyrese maxey & tyrese Halliburton. Not to mention, Lamelo earlier in the week stepped on a fans foot. What makes all of these so scary and possibly bad injuries?
Can you do a update on Danny green ?
any chance you could giver your thoughts on what could be a career ending injury to jake muzzin of the the toronto maple leafs? hes out with a cervical spine injury
Did you see the injury to the Iranian goal keeper in the World Cup vs England?
Hello, Brian, I don’t know if most people who view this channel do it for the same reason as me, but personally I watch it to be ready for these situations if they happen when I play sports. I would love it if you also educated us on how to react to this type of injury on the field but also what possible rehab the athletes will do in order to recover. Thank you for your videos, very interesting and informative 😁
I second this idea
He really should have a brace on that ankle. Steph has weak ankles and he wears braces on both, they do really help.
It’s just a new dance move, called the showboat
ruclips.net/video/2Ax_EIb1zks/видео.html
I wonder if the braces would limit his explosive at the rim play.
I think his knees will be at risk
cool mask bro
I was and still am impressed with the speed with which you put out informative injury videos, but what blows my mind is the quantity of videos done at this high quality.
The only channel I recommend to any sports fan.
And Pat maCafee and jomboy media
Would like to see a breakdown on Scott Wedgewood, non-contact spinal looking injury seems pretty unique and would love to hear your thoughts.
Damn, the players from this game haven't even showered yet and the video is already out!
Bro was probably watching game, snapped on tie, zipped up his shirt and jumped into action. Lol
Hi Brain, is a brace you recommend just for everyday long walks? I developed bad knee pain after trying one and then read ankle braces could potentially cause knee issues. I have sprained my ankle about 5 times since May. I’m in rehab but it is just taking so long recover :((
Do the Iranian goalie for the World Cup (head injury + carried away by stretcher) vs England
Happened to me once landing on someone's foot while grabbing a rebound.
Hello I'm not sure if you watch any raptor games but what's your opinion on Scottie always holding his ankle in pain for so many games this season. He always looks visually hurt and even today was hopping to the bench and than he just comes back like nothing happened. Never seen this happen so often from any player before.
I’m starting to see an increased frequency of ankle sprains this season. What is going on with this particular type of injury
Can you please make a video about Cade Cunningham’s injury?
I had a torn atfl that hurts like hell
Can you please do Scott Wedgewood's back injury he's a goalie on the Dallas Stars went off on a stretcher a couple days ago
Grizzlies gonna go on another winning streak with Ja out like last year.
And they lose to the nets 😢
I would say there are ways to strengthen your ankles in ways that make it so you don't need braces. Most people do not actively work on ankle strength and mobility.
You gotta do Tennessee qb injury
I have a question I just fell on my ankle and I fell horizontal to the ground and my right ankle hit the ground hard and when I walk it feels like my ankle goes outward a little bit. Do you know what happened?
ATFL? Always Tears First! Thanks for helping with the anatomy review!
Active Ankle braces saved my varsity vball career.
What ankle brace would you recommend?
Did you see Hamidou Diallo get his tooth knocked out for the Pistons last night against the Lakers?
Ja honestly needs to play in high tops
Could you do a video on Hendon Hooker’s knee injury?
Can you please break down Hendon Hookers ACL tear from last night at South Carolina?
Tore my ATFL and got a brostrom procedure done. Doc said recovery could be 6 months
Looks like the OKC player might have kicked the back of Ja's foot and added the unexpected load.
This makes me so sad:( I'm a Celtics fan but god I love watching Ja play. Ja is the most athletic player I've seen since Jordan. I know LeBron is a freak athlete but it's just different kind of athletic. This kid is absolutely insane. I was watching him 2 days ago and he had a reverse 360 no look to steal the ball that was being passed in and took it up under the hoop with a left hand layup and I lost it. he is truly special and I really hope injuries to rob him from us:(
Its awesome to watch but dunking for show off could also be the cause of his major injury
Maybe you mean 6'6 under athletic NBA players. You can compare him as old as Spudd Webb, Kevin Johnson, then Steve Francis and Westbrook
doc how long Ja will be out?
Ja should have Steph's number on speed dial and get some tips on his ankle rehab
JUST LIKE DERRICK ROSE. -------- If Ja will not minimize it DUNKING , ONLY GOOD FOR 3 YEARS KNEES AND ANKLES as SUPER STAR. Support Star in team later on.
Hi Doc....curious...Arm Wrestler Monster Mike Todd commented that when he seen a dr. 10 yrs ago..the dr commented to him that he saw over 70 fractures in his right arm??? Is this possible!?
Love Ja Morant! But he might wanna try high ankle shoes
Reminds me of Steph’s ankle injuries 😔
Reminds me of Steph’s ankle injuries 😔
Reminds me of Steph’s ankle injuries 😔
Reminds me of Steph’s ankle injuries 😔
Bro he just tweaked his ankle. And his foot was kicked. Relax
Reminds me of Steph's ankle injuries 😔
Doc do you have any tips on how to fix pain in the medial malleolus
Perky
In the what????
@@c22d22 thank you mine has been hurting for so long I can’t even hoop like I used too
Oh no 😢
I hatee ankle injuries i get em common to just like that 😒 its either i tweak my ankle tryna jump like ja or im hitting my damn knee on sb else knee ts is annoying
Do you consider wearing barefoot style shoes minimizing the risk of these type of ankle injuries? Modern style sports shoes, especially basketball shoes, tend to have slightly raised heels and a pointed toe box, which lead to a less stable and narrower platform in comparison to the natural shape of our feet. I would love to see more research on that regard in sports science
You need cushion on hardwood and lockdown on foot to be stable with lateral movement, which zero drop shoes usually do not offer either. Other thing is peoples feet adapt and some players play 15+ years so its more about injury prevention methods imo that matter 10x more than what a shoe can do when you have so many more variables of the body to take care of.
@@yomomshouse100 I get your point but I just have the feeling that the natural proprioception of the foot is to certain extend being compromised by most of the modern sports shoes
@@littleshadyify i dont completely disagree many people say that, you can definelty pick a horrible shoe, but its about balance and moderation, should you pick a shoe with no ankle support, no foot lockdown, no padding and no heel cushion? No, should you pick a shoes with the opposite extremes? No. If you have specific problems then pick a specific shoe. Toes jam up? Wide toe box. Heel hits ground too hard? More heel cushion. To think minimalist shoes will magically fix everything is just wrong, trust me ive tried and also pretty much all of the top sports and foot specialists have covered this over the past 5+ years its not a new thing. Heres some things that will 100% work - 1 getting 8200+ steps per day or something similar - 2 load management (not working out to much or too little) - 3 resistance training for calves, tibialis and latetal hip movements - 4 1 leg propioception training in a stable shoe of your specific movement/sport - 5 plyometrics for calves, tibialis and lateral hip movement. .
Given the amount of force on the contact by the opposing player, I think you're correct in suggesting the tissues were not given enough time to recover. Without muscles to provide stability at a moment's notice, Ja Morant would, unknowingly, have less mobility and stability throughout his rear-foot, to begin with-----putting his ankle at more risk for a sprain. I would like to know if a foot orthotic was used to get him back to playing sooner. I mention that scenario because the customized orthotic would force the joints throughout Ja's foot in the opposite direction of where they should be going in that position, i.e., the joints throughout his foot would be supinating at a time when they should be pronating. If it turned out there was an orthotic underneath his foot, Ja's rear-foot would still be vulnerable to an injury in the plantar flexed position you mentioned. And since orthotics are designed to restrict motion, his rear-foot (and knee) would be at more risk of an injury in the remaining two planes. If this were the case, he would have limited movement throughout his rear-foot and restricted front and mid-foot motion to go along with it. Thanks for your assessment!
what are the downside of braces? of the top of my (uneducated) head I'd say it can limit the range of motion and explosiveness. But more over, long term, does it not "take over" responsibilities that those body parts should have in terms of keeping the body safe? Curry did where braces, but he and others around him credit his health mainly to the core muscles work. strengthening himself throughout the kinetic chain leading to his ancles is what he thinks helped him the most. I don't say no braces, but I understand trying something else, with or without it. I'd love to hear your take.
Lmao that didn't even look that bad for him to be carried off
Bro cmon I’m trying to see this man breakout and take over the league
Just an unfortunate play. The feet are so important. Anytime you are moving and where you think you stepped is not where you are stepping, you're likely in for a world of hurt. You can see as he's moving backwards his fore foot is off the ground while is back ankle is twisted up bearing all his weight plus momentum. So bad. I had a sprain like that which took months to heal. Grounded Stability is everything in my training.
looks rough! Ouch. Went down... didn't put too much weight on it coming off the court. Could it be an Achilles injury? Thanks doc!
Don't say that!!!! Never speak that injury into existence
Can you explain Hendon Hookers injury
Thunder/lou dort broke the code 😤
lmao!
please doctor can you speak about the saudi pleare that got injuredin the world cup today his name is Al-Shahrani
Someone get LaMelo some ankle braces too
A lot of sports commentators predicted that this was going to happen from the way he played the game and may have many more in the future
lucas hernandez knee injury against australia today, acl?
Just wondering why Cooper Kupp would need surgery for a high ankle sprain? Is it because of repeated strains on the ligament / what kind of surgery would he be undergoing?
Anyone with some sort of explanation would be appreciated :)
Cade Cunningham injury!!! Shine injury might need surgery??? Can you look into this? Thanks
Can you do Tyrese Maxey
When we thought Ja reminds us a lot of Derrick Rose, we didn't mean to include this. Sad.
Lol no comparison since D. Rose was an league MVP before his knee injuries. Ja is more like Westbrook, always playing out of control. 😂
@@vh2712 1. Ja IS an MVP candidate.
2. D-rose *SHOULD NOT* have been the MVP. That should've been Lebron ( possible *FIVE-peat MVP*). D-rose won because of Narrative, of becoming the youngest MVP ever.
Do people really dislike Ja because he’s confident? Man ppl are really insecure 😕 need therapy maybe you can gain some self confidence and not be bothered by someone else’s weirdos 🤦🏾♂️
first doc!
There were like 3 injuries in every game it feels like that has to be a record
Basketball Players Are truly glass Cannons
He has a grade 1 ankle sprain
ja needs to take care of his landing
This just means that the grizz will win 15 in a row
Grizzlies are better without Ja.
😂😂😂. The damn sure did run off like 20 straight last year wh he went down
@@blue-phoenix115 no they are not sir. That is a misnomer. They play together more but they’re not better without him.
@@b.o.1951 We will see friend. If Grizzlies do go on a winning streak *AND* have better stats… then I don’t even know anymore lol
Bane is out and the bench is trash this year
So he’s missing the Brooklyn game then ?? The one I flew from New Hampshire to watch 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Ankle sprains are so cheeks to deal with
Dr. Sutterer is cool, but we need to hear what Ja Rule has to say about Ja Morant.
Lol
ankle strength and conditioning would help long term
saudi arabia defender looks like he was knocked unconscious from a knee to the face against argentina today
I 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 that it is serious
Wow he twisted his ankle and people acting like he getting injured on purpose
I think folk saying he jus injury prone...which he is bro ..
Is there a vid coming for tyrese haliburton?
What happened to him
@@b.o.1951 dude crashed into him late game.. got carried off.. looked like some kinda leg I jury
Break ankles not your bank use ridge wallet 😂 you definitely should use some medical puns with your ads
He's so talented and explosive, I hope he doesn't go down the Derrick Rose route, if he doesn't he'll go down as a certified baller.
Every time someone touches Ja, he gets hurt.
Don’t worry Ja will do his best to get the attention of the camera while on the bench for as much as possible …..
Looks like how Lamelo reinjured his ankle
I never seen anyone sprain their ankle like that. Sheesh
Go watch old Steph videos. He was notorious for spraining his ankles like that.
Do you think ankle braces help prevent these types of injuries?
yes
@@kingballerofficial I believe so too, from personal experience
yes
Personal experience, yes, if it's the right brace (ie just a .sleeve is not usually enough). To be fair, this sound new enough that bracing could be temporary until he has the chance to properly rehab it.
He’s having that same issue Steph had. He needs to get his legs and hips stronger
Awwwww poorthing, no more griddy for him!
Dang
dang is right ouch!
Lord this is nothing like Steph. Unless Ja rolls that ankle 4 more time this season and needs surgery it’s not the same this was an unfortunate situation Steph was rolling his shit on air in 2013. This was more bad luck than it was bound to happen tbh
What do you expect from a player that plays reckless pretty much all the time.
Team Carbon Fiber 😎
Yeah I love watching JA, but I'm afraid he's going to have a short career based on injuries just like Zion is. He's so reckless and doesn't consider the way he falls or anything. If you notice Steph Curry make sure to fall the right way to avoid these lower leg injuries and Ankle injuries. If JA doesn't start changing his ways he's going to have catastrophic injury I'm afraid
He’s too arrogant to change….he’s no Steph when it comes to the intangibles.
Kid better not go the Rose route
Ja is injury prone already
He needs to hit the weights. Do a lot of strengthening exercises. Talk to Steph. He had a lot of those type of injuries.
He does too much. Been saying it from day 1 he will be injury prone. Instead of going for an easy basket with minimal contact he’s goes for a 360 layup or just tries to slam it every time. Even when it isn’t warranted the contact he makes is unnecessary he can draw the foul easy but wants a highlight.
ja should just wear 2 ankle braces
For the algorithm
Why can't he stay healthy 😔
I’m sorry Dr. Sutterer but having a brown/black leather wallet makes me feel manly.
what i learned: wear ankle braces
This guy injury prone he got injured by someone rubbing his leg last season lol
Another D Rose story…. Undersized guard that plays a little too reckless sometimes and is already injury prone. I feel terrible for him but he needs to develop his shooting more because he’s gonna retire before he’s 27 at this rate
This injury have nothing to do with that gruesome drose injury, it just he had his foot twist out of the blue.
It look like number 5 kicked his foot that's why he was in pain
1:54 “Slight little glance” what actually happened Luc Dort strong ass was about to jump for a rebound and kicked his ankle into the sprain.
Ja needs to put on some weight, and wear ankle braces like curry. If he doesn’t he’s gonna be injured A LOT
he needs to hit up mcdonalds
@@kingballerofficial he need that anthony edwards diet
Putting on weight would make that worse
100%...Curry's ankle braces look like he's an NFL running back.
Weighht??? Fat dont fly if he gains more weight he will have more injuries
Wow am I first 😅
nope
