      First of all how can this judge immediately and put every single person he felt involved in the case maybe some were just helping break up the fight in a jail for 30 days without any due process of law everybody has rights to this and it can be found in the Constitution along with many other case laws it seems to me like a pretty illegal process considering that it wanted the people could be sitting in jail for simply defending themselves

I think the mom is happy she landed that punch, but she wouldn't be in jail if she'd let it slide since she was in a courtroom. Then only one woman would have been in jail.

      Actually, the Sheriff's have to spend time in jail usually bootcamp style to complete training, so it's really not a bad idea as it may sound. You sure know what involve and how jail is if it going to be your career to run or sent people to jail.
      I know in military trading I had to do more then 2 months in boot camp which is worst then jail. Then another few month of A and C schools which involve more Intensive training. At least in jail you can watch TV and make phone calls daily. In boot camp you can't.
      No you don't have people obviously try out the chair and etc. But jail I think sure be mandatory for a month, or two. You primary responsibility is the court system a and what goes on in jail and what involve, you sure be a expert and know what involve and how the real situation inside is. Then you have in mind when you are a judge sentencing people for various crimes, or a Sheriff's in the jail having to be responsible for others. Not all judge but ar least those desling with criminal case sure be required to do some jail time as part of training. It is not a bad idea and do believe judges would have a way better understanding, make better decisions when they sentence people.
      Me personally I would have had to look at footage abd sentenced the one that started the fight about 3 days to a week and won't sentenced the one trying to stop the fight. If they apologize and behaved would likely early released them, enough to get point accross you don't act up in the court room period or there will be Consequences.

      Tried that when a road rager cornered me and started a fight. I pulled a gun with a car pointed at my legs ( could have been easily flattened). I’m the one who got thrown in jail. Cost me 2500 to get out that night ( sympathetic magistrate who understood I was being railroaded only asked for 2500 on a possible 250,000 dollar docket cause I had a legal permit and a clean record). Cost me 2k for the lawyer who got them to toss 2 of the 6 original charges ( which would have been 36 years in prison) and settle for 4 misdemeanor counts which I got unsupervised probation for for the next 24 months. Plus they kept my gun, revoked my permit, and forced me to have a mental evaluation and anger management out of my own pocket. All told I lost 6,000 dollars. Thankfully the only thing I didn’t loose was my job who decided to keep me employed. I was within my rights under both self defense and stand your ground but it didn’t matter. You can still be right but end up in jail. ( I’ll die before I go back there)

    The thing about these "Soothe the judges's ego" contempt sentences is that judges don't have to pay for it, the taxpayers are the ones on the hook for locking these people up.

    • @DrakeOola
      @DrakeOola 3 года назад

      That's stupid logic. Should the judge have to pay for every person they sentence guilty? He obviously should've only punished the person who walked over and started the fight but if they have to pay for every person they sentence they would simply stop sentencing anyone, even the people who are obviously guilty. Of couse the judge should never be penalized for handing out a guilty verdict. 🤦‍♂️

    • @Smackerol
      @Smackerol 3 года назад +5

      @@DrakeOola they didn't say that. their entire point was that the judges can just send people who *aren't* guilty to jail for no reason and not have to pay for it. he sent the victim's mother to jail for 30 days for defending herself and you're saying that you want your taxes to go to that rather than actually forwarding society?

Having charged, convicted, and sentenced people without actually knowing who was guilty and who was not; is absolutely not acceptable. He should be pulled from the bench. Irritating that this footage was shown while conveniently editing out the portion of the video from the camera that would clearly show who was breaking the law and who was LEGALLY defending their person from attack.
