Second only to Undertaker. Worst accident I saw involving Kane was when he dropped Cody Rhodes on his head in a botched move. You can actually see Kane attempt to catch him but was too late. Was Team Hell No vs Rhodes Scholars. ruclips.net/video/yPPGwvh0fMs/видео.html
No actually you're right. Wrestlers like undertaker and Kane NEVER needed a lot of title runs, they're attractions, their image sell enough, the title is a tool to elevate wrestlers that need it (there's exceptions obviously)
Kane appeared in a "Horror" movie, in 2006, called See No Evil where he basically played 2003 Kane again. Personally thought it was a decent movie and Kane was great
There were many stages of Kane: 1) The monster, 2) The cool Kaiju, 3) The maniac demon, 4) The Kanester, 5)The Brother of Destruction (Teaming with The Undertaker, 6) Corporate Kane. There were others in between but those are the ones i loved the most.
This run of Kane was definitely his best run of all in my opinion. He played the role so well, and really made you feel like he really was that evil. It's funny to think that this guy went on to be mayor of Knox County, TN. Also, hope you feel better Bunny. Being sick is no fun at all. Take care of yourself and get plenty of rest.
I was there at MSG 3rd Row For Kane's Unmasking. What a moment that would add more layers and dimension to the kane character. The feeling was electric in the arena that night.
Kane in 2003 set the WWE on 🔥 and watched it burn he unleashed a plague of destruction and devestation he was killing everyone the Demon of destruction he was so awesome it
Though I was too young to remember this (watched around mid-2008.) I remember him being a whole menace to Kelly Kelly (diva), also him attacking the commentators LMAOOO
Wrestlers you need to know about: Triple H, RVD, The Ultimate Warrior. Bret "The Hitman" Hart was one of my favorites because he was an expert wrestler, there's nothing he could not do, he knew every move in wrestling to be, and he did them all to perfection, he was "the excellence of execution", "the best there is, the best there was, and the best that ever will be". A funny one was The Hurricane, he was this normal looking guy that believed he was a Superhero, and he had great matches with top stars. Other wrestlers you need to know about, Asuka, she is a wrestling prodigy, she is so instantaneously creative in the ring, a marvel to behold. And Neville, WWE didn't gave him a chance because of his speech problems, but his moves were pure beauty, grace, elegant.
Kane's introduction into the Undertaker's "story" was absolute GOLD! Of course, I was a young adult at the time, so I wasn't scared of him, like the kids were. I just loved it!
Im a 90s kid grew up with the attitude era, monday night wars, and ruthless aggression era and i am not joking a 12 year old me in 2003 was absolutely terrified and traumatised when i saw Kane take his mask off and reveal his face. Good times and good storyline
Those matches at Unforgiven and Survivor Series he had with Shane Mcmahan were so fun and honestly this version of Kane even if it was gonna be a short Reign should've been World Champion.
Up until current day. Kane was always my favorite giant. From day 1 to his retirement. But 1998 to 2004 were my fav years of Kane. I kinda miss those days lol
the J.R. "barbecue" was obviously (if you saw it 'live' that is) not him that was on fire, the camera moved off him, and you could tell it was someone else wearing matching clothes, but probably with extra padding under neath just in case the fire spread a bit more then planned.. the audio when he was screaming, sounded like it was pre taped poorly. but it was a good story angle, they needed to explain why the story was always that kane was "hideously disfigured" then he unmasked and he just had some makeup smudged on his face and a bad haircut. (well, they didn't really explain the haircut) so J.R. told him "it's was all in your head, you look fine" kane did have better story then most actually, between his origins, to this run, and later poisoning the undertaker then spending a month blaming everyone else, and "trying to find out who did it" until the Undertaker recovered and came after him. also, he was actually wwe champion, world heavyweight champion and others... just not during that storyline, and he didn't really hold the titles for very long, one was about 5 months, the other i think less then one month.
Yeah the 2002 - 2005 WWE run was all about wrestlers getting split open and bleeding. It was rare that an episode of Raw didn't have someone bleeding. This was the transition from the Attitude Era into the Ruthless Aggression Era.
The thing with Taker and Kane is - both gimmicks were pretty much dead. Undertakers "undead, zombie" gimmick was a test run - the man behind the gimmick made it an instand hit. Thank you, Mark Calaway. Glen had many gimmicks that all failed and funny enough it was Undertaker seeing potential in Jacobs and the gimmick of Kane. Both gimmicks were cheesy in the mid/ late 90es and yet both of them made them work perfectly. Kanes run in the early 2000s was sometimes hit or miss. His demasking was a huge bummer. His storyline with Katie Vick was plain horrible. Glad he survived these "lesser" storys. He returned unhinged and by this point, he was top tier.
from the late 90's through early 00's wrestling crowds were mostly high school/college kids and adults... it was a beer drinking crowd, much like a monster truck rally. It didn't really start turning into a kids show until a couple years later.
I believe the guy in the video forgot to mention that Kane was World Heavyweight Champion in 2010, but that's the thing with Kane, his gimmick was so intense and atractive on its own that didn't need a world championship to shine, and all thanks to Glenn Jacobs who portrayed it astonishingly, and many times people bought tickets to see Kane rather than a world heavyweight or wwe title match.
The Monster Kane (2003-2009) is probably his best work, the Katie Vick angle and his relationship with Lita aside. You need to see those bits to understand how messed up the situation was in hindsight and how WWE decided to bring wrestlers' real lives into the ring...
Kane had another great run in 2010 feuding with The Undertaker and beating him for the World Heavyweight championship. A few years later he became "corporate Kane" but at one point he turned face and developed some sort of split personality disorder where he'd be the happy-go-lucky Director of Operations aligned with the Authority heel faction and out of nowhere he'd snap, put on the mask and turn into a monster again, but a babyface one. It was a bit cringe, but it actually got over for a little while. I think he was always better as a bad guy, but definitely when he embraced the monstee character. One of his nicknames was "The Devil's Favorite Demon", and that tells you a lot about the character.
Glenn Jacobs was very fortunate as it only took five years from his debut in 1992 to find success in the pro wrestling industry with this Kane character.
Kane in 2003 was a menace to society. He set JR on fire, Tombstone Piledriver Linda McMahon and Electrocuted Shane McMahon’s balls. When you look up the definition of menace to society you see Kane’s picture
The burning dumpster was camera tricks. Only the outside ring of it was on fire, while the middle wasn't actually burning, so it was as safe as you could do something like that.
That's a good idea in theory, BUT at this time in WWE, NO ONE was stopping Kane. Kane would literally beat down everyone who came near him. I mean ONLY Prime Randy Orton was THIS level of sadistic.
Well, "monster" is subjective. Undertaker in 2003 has evolved from the original scary heel he used to be. Virtually NO ONE boo'd him anymore and he wasn't just out causing havoc for no reason. He was way more controlled and calculating in his actions. Even back in the 80's and early 90's he was still not that "monstrous." He COULD be if he was pushed to it. But Jane was a whole different kind of beast. He was chaos and destruction walking. He would often be seen laughing at his opponents when they DID start to put up a good fight. That meant he was enjoying himself immensely. Undertaker never "enjoyed" beating the stuffing out of people.
I was just 5years old watching wwe every in Sony sports network (India) and still remember 2003-4 i was so exited to see Kane like this as i always liked heel type character more tha hero one
I was 13 when I watched all this happened I wasn't dramatized but it was awesome Kane definitely was a monster fr Also I'm sorry you got sick but I hope you are feeling much better bunny also thank you for the video it was awesome as always ❤❤
This hits home for me I was 5 years old watching all of this live even went to a Monday night Raw show during this storyline I was terrified of Kane crazy enough now he’s the freak major of my home city Knoxville,Tennessee he was terrifying me at 5 years old and now he’s my major at 25 years old
I mean what else is there to say about Kane in 2003 that has an already been said the dude was an absolute beast of a human being. He was just a bloodthirsty vengeful murderous psychopathic monster. But I’m not gonna lie him setting Jim Ross on fire really traumatized me I was like how are they getting away with showing this on live TV. And also when he electrocuted Shane McMahon’s balls omg most hardcore thing Kane has ever done.
Kane is an entertaining monster. For World Champion, WWE is looking for someone "Cool & Badass", like Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar, that's why Kane wasn't a favorite to be champion most of his career.
gonna have to request it again.. "10 things wwe wants you to forget about steve austin" partially shows how wwe (aka vince) not only ignores things if it makes him money, but they pay people off and hide things.
The stunt of setting Jim Ross on fire was actually pretty safe. The camera cuts kind of hide that it wasn't Jim Ross on fire; it was a stuntman. In the shots where you actually see the person on fire, he is....suspiciously thin compared to Jim Ross. He would have been wearing some kind of heat insulated clothing.
I was 14 when I saw this storyline start to happen and it was incredible!!! Nothing like that was done before some were silly but nothing this seriously protrayed; you never knew what was going to happen so I felt Shanes torture watching raw live in 2003 the format got better and became storyline driven episodic "seasons" with the best being from 2002-2007 concluding with the Randy Orton starring payperview No Mercy 07
As BIG & SCARY THAT MAN'S CHARACTER WAS IN WRESTLING. THE TOTAL OPPOSITE WHEN HE WASN'T PLAYING KANE IN REAL LIFE EVERYONE LOVES GLENN JACOBS IN THE WWE. NEVER HEARD A BAD THING ABOUT HIM.
Except that Shane was NO JOKE. Honestly I was surprised at how well Shane handled himself against most wrestlers. Against The Rock, Triple H and Steve Austin caliber of wrestler, Shane wasn't usually much use. BUT, he was dangerous as he didn't care if HE got hurt just so long as the other guy did too. Jumping over 30 feet off the top of the Jumbo-tron onto wrestlers laying on tables, made Shane crazy in everyone's eyes.
Well, though Kane was World champion and held several other titles, the guy behind Kane didn't want the spotlight, his thought was to put other stars over.
People say that unmasking Kane was the worst desicion. But I thought it was a very good desicion as 2003 Pure Evil Kane was an amazing run. Glenn Jacobs gave really creepy expressions.
KANE was a monster but was the safest person to work with.
@@ronaldnelson6692 Yea but thats 50 year old kane. not young kane.
Nia Jax is sweet but is the most dangerous person to work with.
@@being_adibahnafactually she’s gotten a lot better
@@travisspaulding9540 agreed
Kane setting JR on fire was an essential part of my childhood lmao
2003 Kane was straight up savage
Braun is Monster among the Man but Kane is Monster among the Monsters
No actually you're right. Wrestlers like undertaker and Kane NEVER needed a lot of title runs, they're attractions, their image sell enough, the title is a tool to elevate wrestlers that need it (there's exceptions obviously)
Only guys like Taker and Kane could integrate Supernatural elements to their characters and make it believable for fans
ITS GOTTA BE KANE!
Jerry the king Lawler ~IT IS HIM!
SEND HIM TO HELL KANE!!!!!! - JIM ROSS
Kane was embodiment of evil in wwe and glen jacobs was great at acting at it
Kane appeared in a "Horror" movie, in 2006, called See No Evil where he basically played 2003 Kane again. Personally thought it was a decent movie and Kane was great

Except for Corporate Kane. He was by far the Worst version of Kane, that killed his own momentum.
Kane is currently the governor of the county I live in 😂😂😂
This run of Kane was definitely his best run of all in my opinion. He played the role so well, and really made you feel like he really was that evil. It's funny to think that this guy went on to be mayor of Knox County, TN.

You should watch the 2001 royal rumble match. Its the rumble where Kane shined the most
Bunny: "What can that woman do?".
Me thinking: "Based!"
03 Kane slow chemical is amazing

Kane was a menace to society back in 2003 like this version of Kane was a killer
Still pure evil as a politician 🤐
thank you BunBun for fighting through your sickness to give us more great content and i apricate you for that😊GET WELL SOON🥰
I was always a fan of horror movies growing up. Kane was a walk in the park, his horror movie “See No Evil” is pretty good.
I was always terrified of Kane more than Undertaker as a kid. Had nightmares of him in my house while it’s on fire 😂😂😂
You gotta react to Kane returns "2000". One of the greatest crowd pops ever.
Feel better, Bunny.
Though I was too young to remember this (watched around mid-2008.) I remember him being a whole menace to Kelly Kelly (diva), also him attacking the commentators LMAOOO

Yeah the 2002 - 2005 WWE run was all about wrestlers getting split open and bleeding. It was rare that an episode of Raw didn't have someone bleeding. This was the transition from the Attitude Era into the Ruthless Aggression Era.

I'm scared of spiders too.
Glenn Jacobs was very fortunate as it only took five years from his debut in 1992 to find success in the pro wrestling industry with this Kane character.
I think the reason they gave Kane this monster push was to revive his credibility from deciding to unmask him for practical reasons.
Bunnymon pls be a kane fan, we love you

Kane was the best example of a Monster heel.
The irony of this video is that you wore a Mick Foley style flannel. The same person that got speared through a flaming table. lol
