A timely reminder of all these (non-)creative truths! Thank you for sharing and reminding me to focus on practice first.

This is beyond generous. Thank you for this video. It addresses basic stuff. I feel like I can get out of bed and stumble into my day by dabbling in a sketchbook while having a glass of coffee. You covered so much ground for me I am awed and grateful.

@@coffeecoffee446 Yes! I am living proof you can stumble out of bed and create - having no idea what I'm doing. LOL. I'm so glad this was helpful for you. Thanks so much for saying so!

Shopping is probably my very favorite form of procrastination, follow quickly by wasting time by doing things such as playing video games!

@LisaSonora I've been doing watercolor and ink doodles. I prefer abstract, organic shapes. I also write poetry, so I enjoy adding text. I've also been drawn to collage.

This was the perfect video for today. Once again I have allowed my creative practice to be a “thing” that I add to my to do list. Weaving in short moments to jot something down or indulging in a simple sketch is doable. The procrastination comes from overthinking and perfectionism. Creeps in every time. I’m going to go back to the basics to reestablish my practice. Thank you for sharing and I especially loved seeing your notebooks. Wonderful inspiration and creativity. ❤

Going back to the basics is something I do over and over. Each day and moment are new. Each journaling session a new beginning. Thank you for sharing how you're reestablishing your creative practice, Blythe!
