      I honestly feel the same way just picked up an m4 alpine white I’ve already watched all these videos before I even bought the car 😂 which kinda made me breath easy and just pull the trigger so thanks a bunch not to many people out there doing a bunch of maintenance videos on these things

    Good call on correcting the torque spec in the description. My eyes popped out for a second when you said 60 lb ft

    Done this on my m3. Wish I had bought the fluid transfer pump. Certainly makes life easier. Also make sure the 14mm Allen socket is seated correctly on the bolt. Opening the filler first facilitates better drainage. And exhaust mods again. Hahaha. Tip paint the exhaust high heat black. Should help with the rust.

    Just did this thanks tommy. Btw did the 10.2” screen also. Had a few issues due to swapping out my idrive 4 to idrive 6 also. I was running the bimmertech rear view camera from two years ago so I couldn’t get the full screen rear view image. I had to update the camera as well.

    Note that the proper torque spec for the drain/fill plugs - at least for the F87 M2, but probably for all F8x M cars - is 45 Nm. 60 Nm is not the correct torque for the drain/fill plugs.

    I did mine a month ago. Lifted one of the side of the car. Jack, had flat pan. Dropped the car down. So it levels. I filled with 1 bottle. Fluid form the dealer.

    Hey 1 lier is all you need for the diff.
    1.1 quarts but only 1 liter. Each BMW diff fluid bottle1 liter, That's all you need

    Just a heads up for f32... it is not the same rear diff, atleast on my 2014 428i xdrive, completely different setup

    Hello, nice video, thanks for sharing. I would like to confirm again the amount of the oil. You mentioned that 1,5 liter is needed. BMW user guide and official BMW parts reseller both say 1 liter is enough? Do you really be able to get in the differential 1,5 liter? Thank you, Richard

    Hi: Thank you for the videos! I have a 2016 M4. The dealer sold me 3 pints of SAF-XJ + FM booster rear axle fluid. Now, I see some folks say not to use the FM booster. Any thoughts? Thank you!

    Hey Tommy, question for you...towards the front of the diff there is a sensor..What is that and its leaking slow on my 2016 M4. Have you changes that sensor or is there a seal on it...I dont know what it is called. lol. Any info will help...Thanks bro

    Both the fill and drain plugs are 60nm? You only mentioned the torque specs on the drain plug.

      It was actually replaced since my rear diff was leaking

    I also noticed that my f87 m2 does not hold 1.5 bottles it holds barely over 1 bottle

      @@TommyLGarage yes I let drain for 10 mins and filled till it dripped it was barely over 1 bottle, I’m not able to find the exact amount needed for it anywhere though.

      @@Motorsports_3 lifted front put on blocks then lifted back to where it was as level as possible then drained and refilled it was also probably more on the side of where it could hold more fluid before it leaked and could only get barely over a bottle before it started pouring out. Car ran perfect after no issues. I also looked it up online on some forums and it was saying something like 1.1 L

    Def zero need to replace those plugs basically ever, on any car. Don't see the logic here
