Over the last few years I've come across many many awesome guitar players, singers in the ...u.s. So many it's ridiculous. One of my favourites, although not a blues player, is John Prine. He has a similar playing style to mine and I just love his sound. Simple but very effective.

I found Kurt because I followed his brother CT Fletcher powerhouse of a weightlifting champion from way back and it just so happened Kurt was on one of the RUclips videos of CT so I figured I check it out because I also enjoy playing the guitar and the blues. In the first song, I'm pretty sure he was going directly to the amp (maybe a compressor) and it was crisp. Kirk is great for today. Hes got that old sound but hes incorporated and expanded on the style he expresses. And what a great touch -- understands the power of dynamics and building a solo. Solid stuff!
hello... I don't think he was using a compressor besides amp itself compression. just slight reverb. but surely you are right a damn cable straight to the amp.. 😉🖖🏻🎸

Obviously Kirk is killer, but that drummer has awesome dynamics. Loved his feel during the beginning of the solo, so quiet, so full of restraint. It’s drummers like him that make it easy for us guitar players.
