Who has more fun playing the blues than Chris Cain? NObody.
....this is about as real as it gets...Brother Chris and Brother Kirk laying down blues so thick you need a shovel to get back to the bar...true guitar legends...
And it can't be said no better than that! Laying it down!
😂Wow!! Chris Cain wails so hard, I belly laughed with joy at his skills!🎉
Wow !! Where the heck have I been? I never heard of Chris Cain until now 😬He’s Amazzzzn ! I’m thinking I’m not alone ..
The blues guitar comping that both of these guys do on this track is absolutely next level. Even better rhythm players than they are lead players. Cain is ridiculous!
Chris Cain was playing professionally before Kirk was born. He is a student of Chris. And he has learned well. Yes Chris is more seasoned in his approach but Kirk can play circles around most blues players alive today...But there are only a handful of blues guitarists on Chris' level.
great playing by all these fine gents...amazed Chris Cain isn't talked about as much as many others...he is a world class bluesman....for sure.
No clouds big enough Chris Cain cannot shine away.
Chris is such a humble and beautiful soul. Love the man and his gift!
kirk is a good player but Cain is just an old soul live in the present. Holy cow what A solo Mr. CAIN, pure feeling......Jesus christ
hey.. is it too much to ask,,, leave the Son Of God outta this .... k?!?!?!?!?
@@newmoon54 are you a muslim?! I guess so.....k?!! 🤡
@@newmoon54 FFS! 🙄🤦🏻♂️
God is not real.
Nah Kirk is a legend to he’s just playing rhythm right now lol
Q manejo magistral de la guitarra tiene Chris Cain además de la variedad de recursos y licks de acompañamiento, es un fuera de serie. 🎸
During the organ solo the groove kicks in, into a nearly perfect shuffle. Credits for the band.
I saw Chris playing a couple of times in Italy some years ago and I have to tell you that not only he's a hell of a blues guitar player, he is a great human being too. I ll never forget that after one of his gig I came up to him to greet him and make my congrats, he hugged me twice! Wow I ll never forget that! ❤
Cain & Fletcher, what an excellent duo!!!!!!
Boy, I just didn't want this to end
I'm so blessed to jam on that stage before and to share Cadillac Zacks' birthdate, July 25th.
Chris Cain used to play at San Jose State University in the Spartan Pub circa 1983. Always such a treat to buy a $1.25 16 oz. beer and watch Chris do his thing. knew he was something special back then. Really gripped me. So glad to see his success and sustainability. He deserves it.
Damn I've got to get my arse over to America one day ! Wish we had places like this in Australia with the authentic blues vibes !
Oh gosh that was great 👍 love it
You can see from the cut off end bit how much they respect each others playing !! 2 stars !!
Its an honor to hear and witness true and raw talent being shown on stage!
The more I hear from Chris Cain, The more I get sucked in. What a phenomenal musician! I also love this look. He looks like he jumped off the combine with the 335 in his hands.
if I could play like Kirk Fletcher I would never not be turned up enough. god dammit Kirk, TURN THAT THANG UP BABY
The guitar playing is great, truly. But Chris's singing is what does it for me, outstanding blues feel. I've only seen Chris playing with Robben Ford's family blues band, the Charles Ford Band, until now!
I’ve designated Chris to be my spirit animal for the next week😎thanx for the good tunes and upload
I love you all, you made my day 😀. Stefan from Sweden
Chris is just on another level than most imho...LOVE him....he is the real deal.....
A white BB King/Albert King, no doubt.
He's so good
@@Tonetwisters
He doesn't look White to me.
Yep of the absolute most soulful blues musicians!!!!! Love ya both to shreds!!! Keep rocking!!!!
Kirk Fletcher slowly turning into Freddie King Jr.! This is some damn amazing playing!
Not a whole lot of guys who can hang with KF much less smoke him but Cain is on another level.
Harris Dupree Nah they just have contrasting styles. Not better, just different in my opinion.
I think this guy sounds like BB King when he was in his prime.
Seen the bassist before live but, does anyone know his name. He is amazing as well.
Dallas Toto I believe that is Travis Carlton on bass
This is simply incredible. Thank you for sharing
I had the pleasure to meet him twice in my small town called Poggio Picenze (100 km from Rome). He came to visit my best friend's brother, who's a guitar maker. They played together, he made a guitar (which Chris brought back in America).
HUGE respect and thanks for all these sick clips.
Absolute beast! As real as the blues gets.
Yeah Chris is from another planet right??? Love some fletcher too!!!

That drummer looks like he could enjoy a cup of tea :)
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome
♥♥♥
Great players
we can see how the jam is good when John Scofield in person is on the audience enjoying the Blues using his best sunglasses :ppp x)) 😎😎
Point me out , please!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Natasha, me again! Love you videos!
Kirk is good but Chris is in a different level. His guitar tone is as thick as his voice. His Perfect timing produces waving groove that I never experienced from other players… wow.. he is definitely one of the best on earth.
Kirk was mixed low in this song compared with Chris. That always changes the impression the listener has. They're both great guitarists but if the mix was the other way around the listener will gravitate to the stronger sound!
Blues!
Granny on the kit
Mrs. Doubtfire kicking ass on drums.
Wow.
i like it, what more can you ask for....... i am down on my bended knees....
Chris Cain tiene la vena sagrada para tocar Blues.
The dude with the hat and shades and the dude that looks like Thomas Hearns get it! Tone and groove!
The way 335’s are supposed to sound. Great playing by both and tone to the bone...!
Chris plays a 345, but you are totally right! The 335 Kirk is playing was in great hands that night.
Edit: Other nights too. A house 335? Cool!
Very Nice :)
The real deal
Wtf! 😍
🎹🎹🎹 👋❗❗❗
MOOOM grandpa does party in garage again!
Yowza!!!
Sweet ES-345. Nice playing. See. We old guys can cook.
I hear a lot of jazz progressions in these performances. This is what separates Chris from a lot of the other Blues players you see around these days.
chris is from the old school of R and Blues. Rhythm and Blues, circa 1950 or so. Guys that stood and grooved on the fine line between jazz and blues. Studied some be bop, learnt the chords, some lines, double time feel, all that fancy stuff and laid them in the mix with down home basic blues. And then he's a big Robben and Carlton fan, played a lot more fusion oriented funk than blues back in the 80's. More jazz and funk than blues , when you could work in clubs and make money playing Bobby Caldwell covers. His compositions from early on are much more complex and jazzy, and his live shows were too. He had a solid working band and could do more complicated music than you can do with pick bands and part time bands.
@@MarkTarmannPianoCheck_it_out Thanks for the information, Mark!
Full on daddy!!!!!!!!!
I believe this song is actually called "Anything it Takes"
I think it's a Duke Robillard tune.. at least that's where I first heard it from back in the 80s. Love Chris
You could be right. I don't think Chris could remember the name.
Is that Double Fantasy producer Jack Douglas on drums? 😊
