Actually the most endearing thing about Chris is that he never seems to do it for the recognition. And besides, Alligator signed him if we're talking recognition. ☮
Love ya, Chris. From backstage, Fresno First Annual Blues Fest @ the Hacienda. Late 80's. You played every instrument on the stage. You've come a long way, brother, and survived it. Thank God.
Such a unique style of play and yet his name is not mentioned with the greats. That’s crazy because he definitely is one of the great blues guitarist of all times. Who else has that unique sound?
Good voice beautiful guitar sound and nice blues licks good groove verry good blues band that's my opinion as a prof. musician and guitar player myself for more than 50 years playing all over Europe newyork and Palmsprings California good job guys
Thats so cool about Mr Cain, hes not a show hog, he gives the other guys plenty of room to play and run, and he steps back and enjoys them playing. Thats so cool, hes the man, but he makes sure everyone gets proper time in the spotlight.
@@RenoLaringo What video were you watching? He hardly plays when singing, just does call and repeats, lets the band do the grooving, after his takes his first solo he gave the other guitarist a solo while backing him up for 36 bars!
@@simonsmith2642 Ow my.... I just realize the guy you are talking about would be the rythm guitar player in the background... Is it? If so I would completely agree. Was I wrong?
@@RenoLaringo Yeah man, Chris stepped back and just let the band go at it. That thinner tone, is the guy playing the Stratocaster, in the band. Chris’s tone is the big fat signature tone. Good stuff. Good band playing with Chris in this vid.
It's called having developed a style. What a dopey comment. If you've been listening to him as long as I have and can't hear any growth and development, the issue is with your ears.
Chris is just outrageous! That solo is just awesome…one of the coolest cats ever 😎
Chris Cain is an absolute legend! Deserves soooooo much more recognition than what he gets! Thanks Chris!

Flippin' right. Albert King said Chris was the best, Nuff said. Guy can also play amazing piano.
You can hear Chris Cain's jazz background in his licks. He taught a jazz class at San Jose State University years ago.
Why have I only just discovered this amazing musician?!
What a great sound. Love it!!

Further on up the road, another genius. 😎
Chris is one of my favorite guitar players.

Love his guitar sounds..Would love him to do Tippin at Taylors again.
Saw him in Gainesville. Awesome. He had a phenominal keyboard player with him, too.
You can't get any better than that! Like a mix of Freddy king and a little SRV?

I didn't see that. At least here...

BLUESNISIMO. HAPPY DAY HAPPY LIFE.
Cool guy. Kills it on guitar.
I saw him in “82,2” at Slims, he looked like Al Bundy. His stchick is great, and his playing is super clean.
He’s clean, but playing the mas o menos the same as back in 83
Who else can do it?
