  • A breath-taking performance by Chris Cain, backed up Mr Bo & The Voodooers at Fasching, Stockholm, Jan 5th 2020. ”Trettondagaftonbluesen”, the traditional annual opening of the bluesevents in the capitol of Sweden, is organized by the Stockholm Blues Association - it was a full house at Fasching with an audience that returned every bit of the love that Mr Cain and the wonderful backing musicians spread. The song, Worried Dream, is written by B.B.King.
    Chris Cain - vocals, guitar
    Mr Bo Carlsson - guitar
    Lars Mellqvist - base
    Roger Mörck - drums
    Bo Hansson - Hammond

As I told Chris on the last LRBC, he is simply a national treasure - add worldly and that would be more accurate - keep it coming Mr Cain 👍🏻

Mr Cain has been a Bay Area icon for years. I remember catching his show many times at JJ's Blues, downtown San Jose, back in the 80's. Great watching him still share his passion. Thanks for posting.

Yeah I feel you. Saw him many times at JJ’s. I think he is the most famous under the radar blues guitarist in the world. I live in Las Vegas but I was in Tennessee last month in a Tavern in Jackson, TN that had a great blues band and they had heard of Chris Cain and talked about what a bass as he was. He is known in blues circles around the world.

@@nelsonsantiago651 I believe most accomplished blues men know of and respect Chris. He’s an accomplished musician with many instruments……and with his powerful BB Kingish vocals, it’s hard for folks to not have a great time at one of his shows.

As a student at SJSU in 1982, I watched him perform at the Spartan Pub on the Campus.A real treat for those of us on a college budget to watch such a player for free. He captivated me then and I never forgot about him. So glad he's still at it and got the credit among players in the know.

Chris Cain proves that being a blues expressionist is indiscriminate of color.

I wonder who takes it up a notch at 6:34 towards the end? Is it the drummer when he switch from the rim to the skin of the snare?

Hi, this is Bo from Mr Bo & The Voodooers. We’ve done a couple of tours with Chris and What happens with the dynamics here is nothing planned - just comes out of Chris mind and feeling. So yes - when he starts to dig in to Melba (his guitar) We follows, puts in a little more energy. And Roger Mörck on drums chooses to go from rim shots to straight playing.
Notice how Chris works the dynamics some more before he enda it.
      Thanks for listening!
