He’s recognized just not by simple simple pedestrians. But a lot of the blues cats out here in New York know him. I wish he’d come to New York and show us those special licks

I first saw and heard Chris in 1990 or so in a tiny empty bar in the Falmouth Hotel on Cape Cod. He walked on the postage stamp sized stage area like a boss wearing his sleeveless sweater and Chuck high tops and proceeded to blow the roof off of the joint. 'Been a huge fan ever since : )

He's a savant! I just love this guy... And the rhythm section here is great -- especially the drummer. Everyone is in control of their instruments all the time.
I've been in Chicago for more than a decade and a half and this man has never played at any of the clubs here. He should step out and come to Chicago. Where is this Texas? He doesn't come this way but he is the real deal I can hear it.

this guy should ditch his pick and play with his fingers. he plays too many damn notes and his singing annoys, he needs to sing classic blues numbers, this is a bar band.

He’s a “busy” player..always has been, the reason he is so revered by just about everybody is that he is so inventive and tasty even when throwing out mucho notes. His voice is one of my favorites, but to each his own..you have the right to your wrongheaded ignorant opinion.
