@@brandonmanuel1695 You don't need cards in your hand to discard, it's not part of the cost. If the player has cards in hand to discard they do, but they don't need to have them to copy the spell to target themselves.
Thank you for this. I've got a very similar K'rrik deck built and waiting. Even though I know he can't compete with the blue farms and KBP's, he's still my favorite deck I've ever built. I have a feeling everyone will forget about him after a while, and then a set will come out with some devastating black counters and/or some stax pieces. Maybe that will finally drag him out of the glass-cannon category.
I don’t think wizards will give us cards like that. Even if they did, the nature of krrik is glass cannon-y. We need cards that consistently gain life like sheoldred. Maybe something like bloodchief ascension that incidentally gains life a bunch could take it out of the glass cannon-y thing. But mostly it’s the nature of a turbo deck and krriks ability killing you.
Small note! at 2:48, Peter should not have gotten the Gray Merchant tokens. Saw In Half requires that the creature dies, and Yawgmoth's Will was still in effect, which means the Grey Merchant didn't actually die. That's why Yawgmoth's Will isn't an amazing card in the deck, unless you have a way to win without the graveyard.
@@WherezTanner “dies” is a shortcut for “goes into the graveyard from the battlefield”. Because Yawgwill is a replacement effect for cards going into the graveyard, it replaces the death. Just like Rest In Peace and Dauthi Voidwalker
At 22:00, the last snap tried to bounce a card that no longer exists. As it's a targeted spell who has no targets, the *entire effect* fizzles, including the untap lands.
Does Peter have a Moxfield? Would like to comment and ask a few questions as there are a few versions of the deck running around. Also just having him on to cover his preferred list would be amazing!
Just rewatched this, how did peter able to play boseiju in mono black? 19:39 Also in 32:43 shouldn’t peter need to pay B in order to activate blood celebrant??
Can anyone tell me why in the second game the birgi player just cast led and discarded their hand to play birgi? What's the deal here? Hoping for a breach topdeck?
Hello, I want to completa Krrik deck but I am confused, how does Peter generate so much black mana for blood celebrant ability after sheoldred entered the field at 32:22. It is my understandin that he should pay "B, 1 life: 1 mana", but I do not see where the discount is coming from to reduce the B to trigger the demond and sheoldred to draw the whole library. Thank you for any help.
The deck list in the description doesn’t match what’s in the video. Would love a play through on that list since I ordered the list before realizing it was different.
i am wondering if either infinite combos are forbidden here or if he does not have either viscera seer or ohyrexian altar or any other sacrifice spell in his deck so he can use k'rrik, gary, chainer and viscera seer for an infinite lifegain/deal damage combo. Can anyone explain this? He did have anough life to pull this off
Can we get Peter to come on the podcast and talk about this deck? The first clip is the reason I got into cEDH and fell in love with mono black
This is a great idea.
Could also have Charles on about his various mono white piles.
We need this! I’d love to hear his thoughts while piloting the deck!
Can someone tell me how peter had enough cards to keep discarding to copy the spell in the 2nd video

As a Peter and Krrik OTP, this is the content I subscribe for right here. 10/10
My day is compleated
19:40 he plays -who shelters all but the editor put a picture of -who endures and I couldn’t wrap my head around how it was legal in mono black lol
Same, that took me a second to realize too.
"move to Kraumbat" has now entered my vocabulary forever, thank you.
Normally don’t watch longer vids but I could make an exception
we need more of these compilations! perfect teaching material :D

What are blue farms and kbp's?
@@michaelgerard2 Blue farm = tymna/kraum and kbp = kinnnan, bonder prodigy

Doomsday Excruciator may become really relevant. Punishes the table for trying to draw extra cards, puts everyone on a clock. 😈
I’m really liking the comp. Would love to see rog si !
That first game had an EXPLOSIVE TURN ONE OMG IT WAS AMAZING.
I was just watching the Yuriko one yesterday and wishing for a K'rrik compilation! Super excited
Just what I needed to give me the motivation to finish my $100 "cEDH" K'rrik deck brew
It’s not the most popular but would love a Derevi compilation.

Grey merchant does die. Yawgmoth’s will is a replacement effect for cards going to the graveyard. Grey merchant still dies in this case.

“They move to kraum-bat”
If Yawghmoth's Will was in play, Peter shouldn't be able to create the Gary Tokens with Saw in Half as Gary ends up exiled because of YW.
Yeah Saw in Half wants the creature to die, but replacement of Yawgmoth exiles it
He addressed this in the original video, he would’ve just waited until kinnan’s upkeep for SiH so still a win with not much change
I recently got dragged into Magic because of Lotr, now I got dragged into CEDH because of Krr'ik and I have no regrets about the latter
I built my Post son of rich based on Peter deck build. Always risky but amazing when the lines are available
“They move to Kraum-bat”
Peak comedy.
I miss seeing Charles and his mono white brews. Whats he doing these days? Hope he's still playing cool brews.
It’s like you know what I want and you always give it to me…. are we in a relationship now?!?

I think he did using black already created using blood celebrant. It paid for itself
Now we wait for the Ashani Lotho comp
Peter's highlight reel

2nd game had a kinnan casting grafdiggers. Was really confused until the heliod player played a trop island for turn
Along with krrik playing a bosejui.
damn this is the first time ever i'm building a deck and a video is out the same day. Love this channel !
man i miss these guys

He’s using the the black generated by blood celebrant to activate it again.

Thank Yawg this exists!
19:39 How is Boseiju, Who Endures in Peter's Krrik Deck, is it not Mono Black? lol
is peter’s decklist available ? if so what’s it called on moxfield
Thank you

These are multiple games across over two years. All deck lists evolve over time.
In game 2, how did Alex have land tax with kinnan? I’m assuming they didn’t have kinnan and it was an editing mistake?
How is Peter playing a green land in a mono black commander deck? (Game 6)
How does Peter activate Blood celebrant at 32:24 so many times? Is K'rrik on the battlefield? What am I missing?
He’s feeding the cost of blood celebrants ability with the mana produced by blood celebrant

Why isn't Professor Onyx in the K'rrik decklist?
Where did Peter get those sleeves?
@ 19:41 how did peter played a boseiju as land for turn.. 😮ok it was the other boseiju. The wrong art popped up and threw me off
can someone actually explain, in game 11, why Ashani didn't hand out the wishclaw talisman after using it?
Any can say me how Peter can hold priority to use Villi's hability?
During game 8, how does Peter activate Blood celebrant so many times with no mana and no Krrik in play..Im confused 31:46
Any can explain me how in 18:26 can target so many times with Vilis and put so many -1/-1 conters to that creature?
Same I got to watch a great video
How do you have krrik go out on a loss in the krrik compilation?
I thought the compilation would just be when k'rrik pops off, not a win and then 2 losses in a row where not much is done lol
I want to build a deck like that, I only have a marrow gnawer one at the moment. It’s good to see how you could lose, can always get the turn 1-2 win.
Several of these games do not show off what Krrik can do.
god I love krrik
Game one was so cool
Nice yu gi oh gameplay
Waiting for Urza’s Compliation
Shouldn't have Peter died to the Culling Ritual because of Sardian Avenger seeing Grim Monolith be destroyed?
peter da🐐no🧢
Ashani ALLWAYS have a pregame action
19:38 Boseiju in a mono black??
Who shelters all

LOL - I love your videos but the first video shows Yawgmoth's Will, then Saw in Half? That doesn't work.
Its getting under my skin how you pronounced Professor Onyx. Onyx, like the stone is pronounced Ahnyx. Not Ohnyx.
