Very nice detailed video. I feel the resin is similar to LOCA (Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive) which is also cured in UV light but mostly used in smart phone LCD and Lens joining.

That is a good question and is explained in detail in our manual. Edge cracks have a gap from the installation stress. The crack will then close when the lamination stress becomes greater than the installation stress, so the gap starts out wide at the edge and then closes so tight you have to pry it open to get the resin in at the point.
You switch resins when the crack closes and it stops going it. The resin is being injected with pressure from the injector, not gravity.

I'm wondering during the drilling , how do you knw when you went deep enough but not too deep? I understand why you drill it as the crack cant spread over the drilled hole/ bulls eye. Also how does the crack look against the black trim that is on the edge of the glass ?

Sir, that was very nice. I am new to windshield repair and by chance ended up with a couple of delta kits repair kits. You commented on the resin sticking to the laminate, do you have an opinion on delta's resins? I have probably done about 50 repairs with fair results. What can you tell me about your resins, and how they differ from delta's?

The resin will work it is the technique that has to be figured out. Place Scotch Magic tape on one side to completely close it off. Then inject the other side with resin and place tape on that side also after it is completely filled with resin. Then cure with UV light.

After you punched the drilled hole and "primed" it, you began to fill the crack with resin for about an inch. Then you placed the crack opener. Then at the edge, far from the hole, you placed "edge-crack resin". How can you be sure this resin will go into the crack that far away? You continued towards the hole. Again, how can you be sure the stuff will go into the crack with nothing but gravity? Then you use another resin, is that right, to go from the hole to fill the gap.
I guess I'm confused because I didn't count the number of different resins you used, and how you know where to start, where to end, and where to open crack, where not, and finally, why some sections of the crack with an applicator and some segments by hand?!?

We charge $100.00 for a long crack repair. You need to search "windshield long crack repair " and your town/city to see if someone in your area can repair it.

We do not sell nor recommend do-it-yourself kits because there are too many safety features to protect you and your family connected to the windshield. Roof crush, airbag, ADAS, road debrise object pentration and ejection to name a few. Unfortunately theses safety feature can be compromised by a replacement. Make sure whoever does replace it, does it inside a shop in a controlled environment with a two-man set. Stay away from a one-man set on a mobile service.

I have a similar crack on drivers side on my 2006 nissan 350z, I am located in Toronto, Do you have any shop near by or recomanded shop that can repair it? It happened about a month ago, I had a stone chip while I drove on highway, and its very hard to notice because it was on the side of the windshield where the black marks are, the stone chip itself was very small, I did not find it, and now it cracked due to the cold weather, I am hoping to repair it instead of replacing it. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you

me that if the crack starts from the edge of the windshield that it
cannot be repaired. Is this true or are they just trying to get more

It is false. They are trying to rip you off. See the windshield repair standard in the U.S. at ROLAGS.com. You can also search Utra Bond v Safelite which is a false advertising lawsuit against Safelite for telling the same lie.

Hi, why you drill the glass at first time?
When you drill right in front of a crack and fill it with resin that will prevent the crack from further expending think of it as a road block for cracks
Is that possible to make a bullseye without the awl and that wide black hammer?
The best way to get a mini-bullseye is to drill half way through the glass layer with a one millimeter bit,then place a needle and tap it with something light in weight. The needle can be a sewing machine needle or a carpet needle.

Hey, I have an edge crack in the glass on my laptop screen. It is going to cost over $800 to get it replaced. Would this be an effective method of repairing the glass layer? I don't want to pay $800 to fix a small crack.

No one stopped doing crack repair in the United States, what happened is the big windshield companies that would lose billions of dollars by crack repair put hundreds of those that repaired cracks out of business through a false advertising campaign headed by Safelite Autoglass who got the insurance industry to do their dirty work. I am in my fourth year of a federal lawsuit to put a stop to Safelite's multibillion dollar scam on the American consumer. If you want to read about it search "Campfield v Safelite".
That is why you cannot find anyone in New Jersey to repair your cracked windshield. I am in North Eastern PA if you want to drive to me.

I can't help but wonder why your stuff is so expensive. If it was cheaper, more people would be able to help themselves and fix their windshields. You can't just come up with a great system and sit on it, you got to spread the joy :). 40$ Resin vs 10$ competitor kit on Amazon??? I have no way of knowing whats so special in your resin, that I have to pay 30$ more for it. I am ready to pay, but I wont, cause the other product has pretty much 5 stars. And no shops in my are use your stuff, there is just no money in that business. Safelite 210$ - for new windshield. I am not bashing you guys, I am just giving you consumer feedback. Cheap workable kit, higher sales volume, everyone is happy...

This is not a Do-It-Yourself Kit Our kits are for those who make a living repairing windshields. Repairs with our resin are unbreakable and stronger than a new windshield. See the lab tests on our website. The cost per repair (CPR) for a long crack is two dollars. Average payment for a crack repair is $100. That is 98% gross profit. You can't beat that!

Sorry it would not work. The tools inject into laminated glass. Without lamination the resin it go through and into the computer.

That give rigidity to the vehicle and reduces flexing of the car. Damage of this size reduces screen strength and will shatter if a sudden jolt come through the car body. Never repair above 4cm
There is no evidence that your statement is true. You might read our home page and the links to all the testing we have done since 1994. We have tested to FMVSS 205, Standard Test Method for Strength of Glass by Flexure - ATSM D790 and C158 with scores higher than new laminated glass (after exposure) at 144%, 152% and 150% new glass strength. UNBREAKABLE in the impact and penetration tests and flexure tests D790, C158 and in a real-world rollover crash. State Farm also used Ultra Bond crack resin in court to prove pre-loss condition which is 100%. I also sued PPG, State Farm and Safelite/Belron for making the same false statement you just made and not one of them could produce one word of evidence to prove that Ultra Bond Long Crack Repair was not safe and Ultra Bond was safer than a windshield replacement.
