Tell me, please, if I send you a .stl file with the correct dimensions (for example, the depth of engraving 0.25 mm), will you be able to engrave the coin? Or do you need a vector file created for example in Corel Draw program?
Hello! I’m using a ComMarker B4 20W engraver with Lightburn, and recently I encountered a connection error while engraving in 3D on brass. The issue occurred while engraving a 3D relief pattern with the following settings: speed 6000, frequency 45kHz, power 90%, line spacing 0.0254, image mode set to 3D Sliced, and 150 passes. After about 6 hours of engraving, a connection error occurred. I paused for a while and resumed engraving, but the previously engraved pattern disappeared. Then, after about 1 hour, the connection error happened again. Is there any solution to this problem? And is there a way to resume the engraving from where it stopped? I would greatly appreciate your help in finding a solution. If you need further assistance with refining the details or want to send this in a specific context, feel free to ask!
@@LSEngraving Are you CERTAIN?? At ~ 5:10 starting the dark finish pass, you can see the dark finish advancing with the laser beam seemingly moving slower = TIME LAPSE..... At 5:40 this is very evident.... NOT "real time" in anyone's definition.... 😞
Man, your work is impeccable! I know it'll take me many eons to get to your level...and I'm gonna get some sheets of brass to practice on. Oh, and is it the same as with co2 lasers that the air assist aids with cutting the metal?
@@LSEngraving no, I understand that part (I have 8 of them). My question was pertaining to the air assist effect on the metal as you engrave metal with a fiber. I have a 50w JPT.
@@willmartin6198 it makes for cleaner results on metal, nice and smooth, and deeper, as debris is not fused back onto the workpiece, and the air mix increases removal rate.
@@LSEngraving thanks so much for your responses! I am asking because I bought a fiber laser an didnt think noise is a problem. How much watt does your machine have?
@@LSEngraving I can pay you well for a model matrix, to mint my country's commemorative coin., I would like to send you the coin, do you have a zip code? wats zap ?
Well done Patrick!
thank you!
Great video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. Appreciate you🤙
I appreciate that!
Amazing results!!
thank you!
so how much would you charge for one of these and how many can you produce in a day with a single machine? what brand and power of laser?
depending on quantity 20-30. depending on design 5-10 double sided per day. I used a jpt 80w on this coin.

the depth is determined by speed/power/passes, and image adjustment. I would be happy to try it out for you. sales@lightsource.pro
awesome work
thank you sir!

What dimensions do you use for your 40mm brass coins?. I use 37.800mm but wondered what others use.
depends on the coin mfg. there can be differences.
Koolest Video Ever! That is amazing.. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment!!!!
I was wondering which laser you are using.
noualaser Smart 2 JPT C series 80w
@@LSEngravinglovely, I’m guessing you’re using a 175x175 scan field?
Wow nice work! 👍 A "clean up pass" is that lower power and higher frequency?
for me, wider spacing, lower power, a tad higher freq, and high speed
Nice video. Is this real time or sped up?
real time

thank you! The CO2 will not cut metal.

@@LSEngraving Thanks for the info.
What part of the process where it’s that Matt looking bright golden color called?
probably my cleaning pass
Can this be done with gold coins too?
yes, i have not tried gold though.
amazing stuff! how noisy is a fiber laser standing next to it? Is it as loud as a 3d printer for example?
noisy deep engraving metal for sure.
@@LSEngraving thanks! So it might be even louder than a 3d printer is that right?
@@maxgul.x yeah, def louder than my 3d printers when doing high power deep engraves on metal.

It’s a music not noises 😅
Which software u use and can you share settings?
i use lightburn. i have settings in this video: ruclips.net/video/sRcEPEXsrmI/видео.html
what type of laser machine and power
that was with an 80w jpt made my noualaser. i can provide a link and coupon if you like,
thank you
No settings or tutorials?
yes, there is a tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/sRcEPEXsrmI/видео.html
can i contact with you?
