    I watched about 50 reseller videos with zero actual information, thank you for making a video that really digs into the nuts and bolts of it. I'm about to engrave my first brass coins and I've been scouring the web for resources that will help get me on track quicker. I just bought my first laser engraver (60 JPT MOPA) two weeks ago and there is so much to learn, having videos like this really help get your head around some of the fundamentals of how this works!

      @@LSEngraving I am wanting primarily to engrave metals, like the sledge hammer, knives, and the odd coin. But also like business cards and credit cards as well. Plastics like lexan or plexiglass and CLEAR glass would be amazing. I have dedicated cnc routers for wood and occasionally aluminum, and other machines for paper and vinyl stickers. I would love to engrave stainless but my understanding is that is more difficult, possible but more difficult. Copper and silver would be fun as well. The whole range of materials with deep engravings like the brass 3.5 inch coin with the eagle a month or so ago would be awesome to make.

      @redbeard680 11 месяцев назад

      Yea see that also! whos got that kind of time lol, I stay around 3m to 4m/sec, what are your thoughts on why you use max q pulse? Is it just for the cleaner engraving or do you actually achieve the depth quicker?

    • @redbeard680
      @redbeard680 11 месяцев назад

      Do you run quartz lenses? In the 120w. I have a 110 that shipped with the machine and have a 200 on they way now from cloud ray , it’s the ar100 quartz, extremely excited to finally have some tolerance in the focal length

    • @LSEngraving
      @LSEngraving  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@redbeard680 using max q pulse will get max peak pulse power output, provided you are at max output frequency. so i run max q pulse and dial power back with the frequency, on the 120w 60f is the max output frequency (120w/1.5mj = 60) so i run about 80 freq to get close to max power and a smoother output

    • @MerkiNet
      @MerkiNet Год назад +1

      Hey Tony, let's start from top, the output beam diameter at lens is 7 +-0.5 for all JPT MOPA, focal length is the number after f= written on your lens, wavelength is 1064 for all faser laser, and the beam quality M2 depends on the model you have, the JPT 20W and 30W MOPA have 1.3, the 60W exist in two versions: the E (Economic) has 1.5, and the full version has 1.4, for the 80W exists in two versions too: the E has 1.6 and the full has 1.4
