That's a hard task but I've decided for a "regular" vehicle than later became an icon and almost every single man in the world have wanted to get one, the Jeep! I decided after I saw the Jeep you made!
Really enjoy your videos and the way in which you are so enthusiastic about your work and so engaging/inspirational! Strangely enough, the other part of my life is heavily involved with music as as well!!
I LOVE workspace tours. I am a freak for organization and order and I really like seeing how everyone else is doing it. And the cannon is great... I actually have one in my model display cabinet that is a radio! Great stuff, amigo... very interesting. And thanks for the links. I need a light box desperately... my homemade, cardboard job has lived a full life, but sadly, it is time to retire it.
Thanks! Glad to hear it - and that's awesome about the radio cannon!? Crazy! Unfortunately this particular brand of lightbox that I have is no longer carried on Amazon, but I did link to some other ones that look pretty similar 👍
Hank, the nail polish thing is great. I discovered those several years ago and have never looked back. Very cost effective and is perfect for the job! Still dreaming of the day I can create a designated space. Good for you!
I have been watching your videos for a week now. Picked up my first kit last weekend: Panzer Kampfwagen IV from Tamiya. Hoping to start this coming weekend. Need to clear up some pace. Modeling came up on a forum I frequent and I figured, why not? Need to pick up a hobby that isn't movies or reading.
That's great! Welcome to the hobby - I think you'll really enjoy it! And the Tamiya Panzer IV kits are great - very nice choice. Andy over at Andy's Hobby Headquarters has some nice build videos on those kits; I'd recommend checking 'em out 👍
Like the nail polish stand. I’m using an old tea chest for ammo/mig products & foam inserts from garden lights 💡 holder that fit Tamiya products perfectly by think I’ll make the switch 💅 👌🏼
I have a question, do I need a workspace? i’ve just been doing my models at my desk, where i eat and do stuff, but recently, i’ve been moving to airbrushes and more supplies. I don’t have any extra desk space like you, so i just clear some space and put down my stuff and build. should i get a workspace, or just lay down some desk protection and start working? I love your models, by the way, they are so detailed!
Greetings from Oxford UK,.....been following you for some time and really enjoy the content of your videos. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into the hobby and for making such interesting and informative content.
Thanks for the tour of your workspace. I'm glad to see your channel growing, it's great to have people like you sharing the processes of modeling. I just picked up Border Models 1/35 Bf109 G6, and want to do Franz Stiglers plane.
Thanks Dave! I really appreciate it. And I'm so jealous - that's going to be a great kit! Great idea doing it up as Stigler's mount... very cool! Definitely share some pictures when it's done 👍
I've been subscribed to your channel for a while now. I Love and Hate workspace tours! I Love seeing what other modelers are using and their set-up but, I Hate seeing what other modelers are using and their set-up because eventually, I see something "I just have to have" (makes me spend more money) LoL. I think I spent $3000 just to build my first $40 model; you know what it's like needing to be prepared! Great tour and glad to see you succeeding; much deserved! Eric
Just found your channel and subbed. You have a great set up there, I'm still in the cell phone camera stage. I'm looking forward to checking out more of your content. Have a great day. -David
Hey Hank!!! I'm so glad that you got all of your new stuff!! I was wondering if you could make an olive drab tutorial, I have mixed my own, but they are either too green or too brown!!! Keep up the great work man. Also, I am leaving for the US National Airforce Museum on Wednesday, so I am super excited about that!!!
Hey there! Thank you! And for sure - I'm hoping to do a basic OD shading tutorial for this Sherman as soon as the build is complete... definitely on the short list 👍 Have a great time at the museum! That'll be awesome 🤘
Thanks for sharing... Workspace is great and now waiting on new videos and modeling !!! Oh yes... Beers... awesome... reply of sword 🗡️ ... great... Well, bro, waiting... Cheers 🍻🍻🍻 ...
Thank you! That was me for the longest time... but a card table works, my friend! As long as you're building & enjoying yourself, that's all that matters! 👍
Your channel rocks mate! Huge hop-head myself. Stone, Ballast Point, Green Flash, Racer 5, Uinta. Your space looks great and functional. Really enjoyed the tour. Cheers
I just found your channel recently and immediately subscribed, love the content and your builds are amazing! I like the fact that you have set yourself apart from other channels out there. I am excited to try some of your techniques, you have some great ideas. Your workspace is immaculate and I Iove the Pussers rum tin cup. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for sharing. You showed us a compressor and I was thinking about Airbrush venting and keeping spray contained. Do you use this workshop for spray or airbrush painting?
Great workspace. I'm retired not that far from Hampton NH and getting back into building models so I've been following you and a couple others. Got 2 kits put together and working on my nuub painting skills. Thanks for your content here on you tube.👍
Afternoon Mr. Hank, great vid man.. nice lil work area.. I was curious bout your editing program you use.. don't know if you've talked about it before or not, but which do you use ? if you don't mind me asking that is.
So happy your channel is succeeding. Love your videos. Thanks again. Just finished Tamiyas old merkava tank and bought my first airbrush. Having trouble with tip dry but sure it’s just a matter of finding right dilution and technique. Oh and the teleprompter makes me wonder if your fiancé will put up a cue card for you a la Will Ferrell in Anchorman. 😉
Thank you! Sounds like a great build - I did up Academy's Merkava IID a couple of years ago & really enjoyed it. And haha about the Anchorman bit... I hope not! 😅
Hey Hank! Very impressed with your new set up and layout. Happy to see your channel growing. I definitely need to get a paint rack for my paints, just don't have the space in my room...lol. Do have a question, do you remember where you got the 2 beer cans with bombers on them? Would love to get those for my collection. Cheers!
Thank you! I really appreciate it - and I hear ya on the paint rack... never enough room! 😅 The two beers are from Ipswitch Brewing (in Mass) & and Connecticut Brewing Company 🍻
Just found your channel and subbed. Shopping for a decent desk to work on. I noticed yours , similar to ones I've looked at on Amazon. Any suggestions?
I'm so glad to hear it! Welcome aboard! This is the actual desk I have - I like it quite a bit: amzn.to/3qhEDN6 For full disclosure, that's my Amazon affiliate link, so I'd receive commission for any purchase 👍
Thanks! I picked it up on Amazon after some great recommendations from other RUclipsrs. There's a link down in the description here if you want to check it out 👍
Hello, I stumbled across your RUclips videos. I want to know how viable you really think modeling is for me as a hobby? I suffered a stroke a while back and was forced into retirement. My wife wants me to get a hobby as she is sick of me sitting around and watching tv. I used to build models when I was a kid but that was a long time ago! I built bot planes and cars and a tank. I watched several videos and went to my local hobby lobby and was disappointed. Not one kit from your top list same with supplies. What is your take and what do you think I should do or what direction? I have a workbench in the garage so I’m good there for a dedicated space but everything else I’m out of options! Maybe you should contact your connections at hobby lobby and get them to carry what you recommend. I was pretty disappointed not one kit available whatever help you can afford to give is much appreciated
I'm sorry to hear that, my friend - but yes, I think modeling could be a great option! It's quite a relaxing & therapeutic hobby and there are many options out there to match any skill level. Hobby Lobby's assortment will be quite sparse, but I'd recommend checking out either spruebrothers.com or andyshhq.com. They're both great, US-based hobby businesses with excellent customer service & speedy shipping times. I hope that's all helpful - happy building & take care 👍
The best thing about this set up is that it is simple and does not cost a fortune but works.
That's a hard task but I've decided for a "regular" vehicle than later became an icon and almost every single man in the world have wanted to get one, the Jeep! I decided after I saw the Jeep you made!
Good informative videos, keep up the good work.
Thank you!!
Got a similar nail-polish rack for my paint. It has three qualities I like: cheap, simple and it works like a charm.
For sure! They're great! 👍
Really enjoy your videos and the way in which you are so enthusiastic about your work and so engaging/inspirational! Strangely enough, the other part of my life is heavily involved with music as as well!!

@@SpruesNBrews The one I saw looks pretty similar. I think I'll have to go with a 24" due to the size of some of the 1/32 aircraft I do.
Very clean! Well set! Thank you for the tips specially the desk LED lamp.
Happy modelling. God bless.
Thank you! And it's a great little lamp - love it so far 👍
Hank, the nail polish thing is great. I discovered those several years ago and have never looked back. Very cost effective and is perfect for the job! Still dreaming of the day I can create a designated space. Good for you!
Thank you! And glad to hear the rack is working well for you, too - it's a handy tool!
@@SpruesNBrews Its gotta be hard focusing on your day job in the same space as all the fun model stuff though! I guess it depends on what you do. 🙂

Bought my kit from Andy himself.
Very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your setup!
Like the nail polish stand. I’m using an old tea chest for ammo/mig products & foam inserts from garden lights 💡 holder that fit Tamiya products perfectly by think I’ll make the switch 💅 👌🏼
It's a pretty useful tool! I was using a tackle box before, but I like this better because I can see everything pretty well with the stepped design 👍
Thank you for showing me your studio and the tools.
Thanks for watching! 👍

Glad the channel is doing well, Hank! Looking forward to great new videos.
Thanks a million! 🤘
I've got a long sword in my office too. I agree, they are a necessity!
Haha great! Glad I'm not alone 😅

Right ON Bro!!!

Nicely done my friend..especially the video equipment tour..I only have a card table and a hutch for everything else...lol.. 😀😀😀😀😀

Nice workspace ! Are you using the airbrush also in your living room (without a spray booth or another kind of ventilation) ?
Thanks! I have some fans & open the windows
What brand and kind of stage stands do you use? I'm looking for something similiar.

Nice, the only thing you need is a paint booth..
True! It's still on the list 👍
What reference books do you have there?
I've got a bunch - and I'm always trying to add more! The squadron signals books are great for armor builds 👍

Wind muff is literally for wind only. It won't exactly do anything with ambient noise. Use your audio filters for that... low pass filter.
Haha yeah I realized that while I was editing... not sure why I said that 😅 A single 15-minute long take & you're bound to say something silly!
👏👏👏
I didn't see any work bench, but I did notice that beautiful wood flooring in your house!
Haha thank you!
