Love to see how my favourite monsanto shilling, big pharma bootlicking, alt right youtuber sets up his rig. Recommending lights no doubt made by slave labour in some yorkshire dungeon.....Notic how he uses flashy USB (short for Use Slavelabour Boys) lighting strips to distract from the dark dungeon -like interior of his new bunker....sorry "warehouse". I'm suprised he didn't edit out the bit where one of his escaped "free labourers" got into shot, the longing for aid and pleading for rescue obvious on his face, it was passed off as a joke about having a "tea lady", see how he dehumanises the poor man by calling him a "lady".....what even is one of those, some kind of rat I'm guessing, but I know for definite they don't have "ladies" in the Grim Dark North, only undead could roam the street in January in Wakey in a boob tube and not keel over from immediate hypothermia.
Don't buy into his products guys, he deserves no help from the community , all of the money goes into his greedy luxury car driving fat cat bank account. I implore you, DO NOT buy his products, even if they are fantastic and some of the best and well costed hobby products on the market. I ordered a package the other day and it literally turned up first thing in the morning next day....now that concerned me, as the only way to make that happen is via sorcery (which isn't even real), or witchcraft....which I'm guessing this satan loving top knot wearing skinny jeaned freak is all about.
Here he is producing free content for people to peruse, he can only do it free because he uses indentured minions, just like the drug cartels of the south west of Canada. Free does not mean good. My government tried to give me a "free" education....but I fought it, for the cost of that "free" was too steep, I didn't want to end up buying into the narrative the other sheeple eat up. Be free, stay strong, and whatever you do, don't watch the rest of his videos in search for satanic iconography....I lost too much time and sleep uncovering the hidden symbolism and dark numerology in his videos, although my bases do look nice now.
This...this is how it truly is. It's like you're there sharing the pain along with us.
I disagree.
the Southwestern Canadian Drug cartels have nothing of the shear terror and violence of the Quebec maple syrup mafia or the hypster beard wearing, mocka latte craft beer drinking street gangs roaming the Toronto area.
I was waiting for the puchline. The only problem I had with Luke was those stretched out ear loobs. Freaked me out at first but have gotten use to them over the ears .... I mean years. F the haters Luke. You seem like a cool dude.
@@kerryviens7049 the only punch line Luke gives is the one he gives his staff when he makes them line up at the end of their shift to punch them in the face....
Love that you can airbrush and make toast with one convenient unit!
That weenie dog needs more screentime mate ;)
Helping out local retailers is so important. Thanks for bring it to light, you're a champ!
That is one lovely setup you have there Luke. That space is so nice man👌
@@GeekGamingScenics lol😆
Hey my bricks are special man. those are my “ultra realistic” bricks and mine alone!😁
Love your photography, your lighting, your style and your personality. Guys like you are just youtube gold. Thank you!
I do love that you took a look at using cheaper items that would fill your needs instead of just throwing money at the problem. And that you still found a way to take prefab and make it custom to your needs. My current set up is still in transition. But it's even more limited in space than yours. But most of what I have as far as a work table/desk, storage racks, and other needed items are either repurposed items, built from new cheap-ish lumber, or built from recycled lumber that I have salvaged from pallets and pallet toppers I get from work for free. This is in a house we bought about a year ago. The previous owner left a bunch of stuff. A portion of that stuff is still in that space. When I get all of the extra junk out I'll have some extra space for some more things I want/need. But again, keeping costs down is paramount. Seeing your set up there are a few things I think I could use. Alas we have no IKEA near me. So I'll be thinking and rethinking the last of my needs. Pricing and repricing various options. And hoping I figure it out. Thank you for sharing this though. I always love to see different various creative shop set ups. Just to see how different people arrive at solutions for the same questions as well as stealing useful ideas they have had.
The Kallax is a classic. Good tip with the worktop over the desktop as well.
Killer the way you said go to the local shop for your supplies. 👍😀
I just bought some kitchen base units and a sheet of 3/4 ply wood and varnished it for a bit of protection for my work bench in my craft room worked very well a very happy with it office chairs are stupidly expensive, am going to do the same for my shed it's where I do spraying and workshop stuff but loved what you have done
I used two old filing cabinets, 3 8' 2x4's and an old door for my desk. Having a lot of square fottage for doing hobbies makes it so much easier! Until you realize that theres about 20 unfinished projects sitting there, with another 20 looking at you that you just have to get to, right now, for some reason.
I find that if I put something in a cupboard or closet, that once out of sight, its out of mind.
The cheeky Jazza's Ultimate Creativity collection in the background. I wonder what's going to happen here 🤔
It was the Squidmar brushes that got me, those haven't even shipped yet
Noticed that too 😳👍🏻
Oh, lord the REAR shoot lol. Good set up.
Great video man. New studio is looking swish!
Epic man, very nice space!
Most important hobby accessory - Tea Lady :)
Very nice setup. We just move into a smaller house and have been trying to figure out the best use of space for the new craft room. I'm probably going to have to steal some of these ideas.
Love your videos man. Your passion for this hobby comes across as genuine. Very cool vibes. Always feel good watching your vids.
Ooooh, that video quality is just next level. Congrats on your awesome setup!
I actually built my own hobby desk a year ago. I used 3/4" sanded plywood but the best part was I paid a maker space owner to CNC out some 1/2" MFD to a design I drew up on Fusion 360. It was a giant Imperial Galactic Empire Symbol from Star Wars and then pieces on all the sides to look like the halls of the Death Star. I painted it all with an Imperal grey over white and the symbol is black. It's so Star Wars it hurts. I love it.
Luke knocking it out of the park again. Another great video about the ancillary things around the hobby. Great work
I recognize that IKEA Ipad stand!
Awesome! I’m in the middle of moving into a new home and finally get my own hobby room! Thanks for the ideas! And remember buy local!
Thank you, that was very interesting....such a great space. You guys be safe out there. Take care from south africa
great idea using the kalax as a desk. I will remember this for the future as my old desk won't survive another move!!! nice one and thats a cracking studio space
Great tour of your work area. Thanks so much for sharing. Love the lighting mounts. I have a hobby area coming to set up in the next 6 months or so, so I appreciate watching your video for possible ideas. Thanks again!
Wow, Luke... that is seriously cool! I went to a charity shop and saw an old office desk with a sign that read: Make Offer. (they had several on offer) I offered $15, and the guy said, "For that price you can have two of them."
Awesome to see this done. It's pretty much what I've planned for the man cave. As always very helpful . Cheers.
This is so clean!
Thanks! Exactly what I didn’t know I needed! I’m just setting up to begin the hobby! Great video!
For my home office (and hobby space) I did the same, both me and my wife have a 1.8m countertop on a sawhorse+drawer unit. Looks ace.
2:55 Look at the modularity!
Immediately read this in Bardic Broadcasts voice
I used to have a setup like yours, but eventually gave up on it as I found Kallax too tall to sit and too low to stand. No matter what I did, I ended up with backpains.
I eventually bought a table with variable height, and have enjoyed both sitting and standing while working ever since. So in my opinion, no matter what else you want as part of your setup, such a table is an absolute must-have. It will save you an awful lot of backpain over the years.
Great video. Those Kallax units are so versatile. For my sons dresser we just use a 2x4 unit laying on the long side with some of those plastic cubby cubes. Perfect and way cheaper than traditional kid furniture.
That was interesting and informative, and your tone is so nicely upbeat. I like that you are rocking the full-on Ogre Kingdom look with the new hair cut.
New space looks great Luke!
Brilliant setup and great ideas on how to set up!!
I’ve got hobby zone and they’re great for what ever size hobby space you have. Nice interesting vid
Love it! Inspiring for my own hobby space eventually
Your unit is huge!!!
Thanks so much for this! Just what I've been looking for! I already have the kallax cubes in my studio, however I need a desk space in the new space when moving next year and always wondered how to make that work with the furniture I've already got. So thank you!
Thank you very much for making this video! Now I know that I need the Hobby Zone workplaces 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
New computer/streaming/workspace desk in the future built this way I think. I could use the storage sections for my RPG and Art books!
Awesome set up Luke I’ve recently bought some of the hobby organisation bits you recommended in one of your older vids and yes the roll holder is a must have 👍🏻 big love man keep these vids up your vids are a great watch for some sanity 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Pretty cool informations, thanks a lot. Ikea rocks ! I'm using some Kallax too for my hobby office and Billy of course too.
Such a simple set up but super effective and inspiring. Great video bud.
Brilliant set up and we need to see more of your wee doggie - he's goregous!
Definitely gonna save this for when I get out of this apartment. Goals
Looks like the new space has started off well. Nice one! I wish I had both the space and the budget for such a slick hobby zone
Now this is making me seriously consider wall mounted stands as well
Wow your hobby area is somuch bigger from what it was couple years ago so nice, so happy for you. Like always keep it up luke. 😊 🎼🎶🎵🎵
Great setup, and whatever you are paying your lighting model you need to double it, they did stole the scene!
Really useful video! Thanks.
Brilliant video Luke, loving the hobby space, lovely atmosphere to settle down and enjoy your hobby, well done mate.
Regards Chris
Love it. Being able to see behind the scenes is excellent.
Practical good advice as usual.
“Share the love” support your local shops, man your awesome. Keep up the good work and stay safe😁
Your dog is Adorable 😍
I built my hobby desk using offcuts from a kitchen counter company. I got a 2 meter section for a steal.
I used two of the Ikea Alex drawer systems and added a 3/4 inch MDF spacer between the desk and the countertop and connected everything with double sided heavy duty carpet tape. It is super solid now and doesnt budge at all when I try to move it.
Love the ultimate creativity collection easter egg in the background. Hope that was planned.
Good looking setup. Echo your comments on Hobbyzone units - really made a difference to my workbench.
Really nice setup. I'm currently redoing my own space and gone for a very similar grey on the walls. Also couldn't resist adding some led strips
Amazing setup, and also accessible--not a multi-thousand dollar affair! When I have a bit more money available, I might have to do something very much like this.
I've had to set up an office and ive used this method for a work/ hobby desk in as a corner unit fitted into a room. A bit of rostering and i think its great
I have a pair of desks made from Alex drawer units (2 per desk) with the long Saljan Ikea countertop laid across them with a pair of Adils legs evenly spaced in the open spots just to help carry weight.
Kallax units seem to be a favourite for Modellers all over RUclips. I have my desk, an old gate leaf dining room table screwed to a four unit kallax, with a 8 unit kallax for all my other storage, I've used the shelves, cupboards and boxes to organise my modelling supplies. The other half uses an 16 unit kallax for her crafting supplies. I find the desk the perfect height for me.
7:45 that part blew my mind, clever af!
Lovely work man, great set up. Can't wait to get over and ruin it! 😀
I'd like to get a similar set up myself, looks very good
This was so helpful!! Thank you
Also check online local auctions if you're in a big city. Lots of businesses are going under because of the lockdowns. Office furniture can be had on the cheap.
Just made an order just to try to support you during this time, its not much just some base ready and tufts but hope it helps!
I used the same setup for my work-from-home /hobby room. I built some 6” risers out of MDF to get the height correct, but that's just a bit o extra storage. My area is only 5x8 (former walk in closet), and still has my clothes too.
Those modular HobbyZone shelves are very affordable! Gonna have to put some money away to get my dream setup made for my workshop! Thanks, Luka.
Great fur effects on that 75mm Dachshund
For me I went to B&Q and got kitchen units and then a unit top to go over it as I'm tall and have a shot back it makes it nice to stand next to and good to sit next too.
great set up, I will be setting a new area to work from eventually and I like your ideas cheers for showing. Peace James
Great video man, and really well timed - I literally was thinking of changing my studio yesterday! I have my painting area, camera setup and terrain/ airbrush area to now add in - plus storage! I either need to do a good change around or take over the garage!! haha have a great weekend dude and look forward to the next video :):):)
Thank you Sir!
Good update keep posting updates up
Yea those kallax units are brilliant. Once you build up a collection so you can swap pieces around it becomes a furniture lego playset.
Oooh... Ideas for me new gaff, great tops for my workshop as well.... OH I'm going to be a happy bunny......
I was looking at Kallax to make a war table for the games room. but it was too low for me . I dreaded bending over like that when playing. So eventually I bought two huge display tables from a craftsstore. My war table now stands at a comfortable 105 cm. But if you want you can very easily make a huge crafting table/ wargames table from a couple of Kallax and some OSB/MDF sheets. maybe some wheels. idk.
Great set-up, and cute pup. :-)
Top tip I know they say the dowels do not need glue but I always, always glue the wood while screwing and dowelling. Used to know folk who worked for MFI (precursor to IKEA I guess) the guys who built the displays always glued them especially the ones that do not require the glue it makes them last longer.
Nice tip
Propably i have to move some time in the near future, its good to see other people's set ups.
Always solid help!
Such a dope setup, the struggle is real in my London flat to have enough painting space let alone space to film
Great video! Really enjoyed seeing your setup! :D
OMG I love setting up background shots for stuff....then I get so upset when you have to actuly use the things cause then it looks messy lol!
Thanks Luke ,
Luv~Luv~Luv .
Nice layout, love having those light stands off the floor I bet.
Nice setup! :)
yayy i really want that hobby space XD u r sooo cool
Only got back into the hobby after a 2 year break, like the newer more professional channel setup and stuff. :-)
Great looking set up, I recently got the Hobbyzone kits and they are awesome =)
I've been thinking about getting some Kallax and a counter top as well... I guess you've got me convinced! :D
Un vídeo muy entretenido, ojalá yo tuviera una habitación solo para practicar este hobbie.
Regards from Spain
Will have a look a Kallax but I find IKEA catalogue hardwork to figure out correct components. Especially when you start looking at "extras". Hope doggie is fully recovered now, looks very loved.
