    Very informative video. I have most of the brushes you mentioned. :-) Some ideas for videos: a 5 minute look (just a simple, out the door look). A top 5 series videos. Like your top 5 foundations, blushes, bronzers, etc. Your night time routine, your morning routine etc. Top tips for wearing make up for mature skin (to not accentuate wrinkles).

    I know this video is old but hopefully you ll read this. When I wash my brushes, while they re still damp, I apply a little Aloe Vera gel to the bristles. It helps keep the shape and get rid of all the "flyaways" that some natural hair brushes seem to get. I actually learned this trick from Tarababyz. It was one of her first videos I believe. Best trick ever!

      Awesome!!! I will have to try that trick and check out her channel! Thank you for sharing!

    An *equivalent* *starter* *set* for someone on a tight budget: For Powder/Blush/Bronzer: Real Techniques Multitasker Brush or ELF Flawless face Brush; for foundation: Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, ELF Selfie Ready Powder Brush, or A flat brush from Wet N Wild or Elf. I like flat brushes (They don't disturb my sunscreen). For Eyeshadow: Coastal Scents Pro Blending Fluff Brush or Elf Blending Brush; and for eyeliner: Real Techniques EYE DETAIL + DEFINE Duo. :3

      @Liz Torres I love RT brushes but the only thing you have to be careful of is sometimes you find a duplicate brush eg in a face set u usually get a purple eye brush (Each type is colour coded) but you also get one in the eye set, they're so good and reasonably priced I think it's good to have a few duplicates 😊🇬🇧 Xx

    Good info video. I'll be coming back to this video because I'm planning to buy MAC brushes. I have too many brushes, but I am forever hearing that MAC is the best. I would love to have Wayne Goss, and some of those < insert Japanese names here> brushes, but I believe they are all too expensive for an everyday average makeup person like me. You'll probably never see this. I just noticed this a 2015 video. Lol. But, wow, you never change! ❤️

      Hi Liz!! :) MAC are really great..I only have so many because I got most of them when I worked there so they were either free or 60% off as an employee. Sigma are really good too!

    Do you recommend a particular brush wash? How often do you wash your brushes? Is there a specific process to properly wash your makeup brushes?

    • @lisajmakeup
      @lisajmakeup  7 лет назад +1

      HI! I use the Beauty Blender Solid Cleaner. I use to use baby shampoo but prefer the BB solid because it rinses out so much quicker. That's a good idea for a video... I'll do one soon!

    great video..and yes I 100% agree with real techniques brushes...quick question not a fan of matte lipsticks but I love the mac velvet teddy...is it a true matte? in otherwords will it show the lines of my lips? cd u suggest a dupe for it? thanks

    • @lisajmakeup
      @lisajmakeup  9 лет назад +1

      +Renae Brook Oh I love Velvet Teddy! It is a matte lipstick however its a bit creamier than other Mattes. I remember when MAC reformulated their mattes and came out with Velvet Teddy. I think their old mattes are now referred to as Retro Mattes, and those are much drier.

    • @lisajmakeup
      @lisajmakeup  7 лет назад +1

      Kathy Harvey hi Kathy!! Yes I use the Beauty Blender solid cleaner. I love it! I use to use regular shampoo but it took forever to rinse the suds out- the BB solid rinses out quickly and does a great job!
