Bmw f30 air-con noise problem fix

This is a video about how to fix f30s(UK) air-con blower if something get stuck in the motor/fan.
The car I'm working on Is a bmw f30 320d 2012 (RHD)

My air was not working at all - So I followed the instructions and was disappointed that there was nothing in there, just a little dusty. But when I spun the fan one way it sounded rough and the other it sounded ok, I realised that when I wound it one way for a while and then the other the noise went away.
I pulled the AUC unit out and gave it a clean.
Jumped in the car and air con is good as new - I bought the car second hand and the fans were always a bit weak, this not only gave me air back but fixed what I thought was a “forever issue”.
I never leave comments but I just wanted to let people know this is definitely worth it!

All youtubers show the opening on left hand side coz those are LHD cars. Blower position is always on the passenger side of the car irrespective of LHD or RHD cars. Mine too is a RHD F34 and faced the same problem and the problem solved by cleaning the blower. Thanks.

Absolute legend. Thank you. I just followed your instructions on my F30 and indeed it was filled with leaves! One thing I was able to do though was prise the cover out without having to take as much of the plastic out surrounding it. Just needed a long extension for the socket to get that 10mm metal one out.

Perfect explanation
Followed all the steps and all went well
Noise cleared
Just an add on I sprayed the axel of the fan with anti rust spray
And everything is silent now ( even the max mode )

I have an f30 and there were 2 or 3 leaves in the blower making a super loud noise.

I think you can remove that blower and clean it also from under the passenger dash.

Just use hand to check if anything stuck in there.
If there is something in just take it out and clean with a air can..
