honestly ,struggled a bit scared, took a break , but didn't gave up ,they worth updating ,Thank you
Looks good
Have you considered the Bimmer-tech digital gauge cluster replacement?
I have not. I'm not really a fan of digital clusters tbh
Would love to see how they look at night time drive
They look the same as the original black ones at night since all you can see are the symbols lit up. Can't really see the color.
Hi dude, do you have an install guide video on how you did the square shaped carbon piece that goes around the gear shifter??
Oh that is just an overlay. It just sticks on top
@@InlineSixAuto oh awesome thanks! Makes sense now😂
Anyone knows how the trim around the buttons is called?
how would you get access to the buttons in a manual car as the gear stick goes right to the buttons basically
I would think the leather piece around the shift knob could be removed and the you would have access to the unit with buttons. Not certain though that's just my guess
Nice detailed video. But you don't need to do all this unnecessary, potentially damaging work. Just get a very thin bladed tool/knife, and slip it down the front edge of each button, and gently pry upwards. The button will just pop up and come off with no damage to the button or the car. Clip the replacement button back in the same position as the original, job done and only took about 60 seconds.😎👍
It literally took me two seconds. Your a legend lol this needs to be the top comment!
@@SSID94 Glad to be of help. 😜
What did you plug the audio cord into
what audio cord?
Would you have to disconnect the battery?
You dont have to. I didn't
Do the buttons light up when the lights are on?
yep
I did only the startbutton red on my BMW 125D F20 2015..
Sorry bro but its just to much..
That's okay, we don't all have the same taste
@@InlineSixAuto
As Beemer lover since 1995 when I was four years old : I respect youre taste and choise/taste maximum as long as you own a BMW ♥️♥️
No need for any of this, use a thin plastic prying tool & work very gently around the edges of the button. Just did mine this morning nothing broke, clicks and works perfectly fine.
If I bought a used car with those red buttons I’d immediately replace with factory black buttons.
Coulda just said "These don't look cool" its okay I can take it lol
They look very good to me
@@Macklockbeats We all have different tastes. glad you like them
Forgive me for this negative comment but this is by far the worst video, way too complicated..all you have to do is use like a sticky clay sorta like gum and just stick it on and pull it up quickly and it pops up..idk why go through this hassle..just keeping it real
Have you done it that way? pretty sure that would break the tabs
I have done it this way. Everything went fine. No need to disassamble the whole thing. Best regards! 😊
So you just kinda pull it with and replace it without taking everything apart?
Literally watched this video and was like sod that i aint doing that, got a thin pry tool under the buttons and they just popped off 🤣
I tried the sticky clay thing and it actually works, although the original buttons might break by the clips, it's still way easier to do
