You should talk about how you make friends and connections once you move to a new country!
TRUE
Yes please !!
Well he has talked about it lil bit in damon dominique's wine video
I dont even know how to do this in my home country and home town 😂
@@douloureux. 😂😂😂 definitely
I love that this was shot with just your phone. It kind of makes it feel super authentic and relatable. Not all of us have expensive cameras, but it goes to show that story is always king.
Nathan sure is mad talented.
Dude why is this on your second channel?!? So good!
Both of you guys are great! Can't wait for Bernardo's next video, been waiting for a whole month for a new one, they really make my day. No pressure though, take you time. :)
Oh that explains it! I was so confused as to why it isn't getting insane views
i agree
seriously!! this brought me so much joy and inspiration. really excited to learn as many languages and travel as much as you.
Its on here because this channel is his backup plan 😄
Living life without expectations gives the most peace and clarity. It lets you enjoy the moment for what it is and not what you wanted it to be.
“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.”
― Oscar Wilde
I reckon your future self will appreciate these snapshots far more than you'd imagine! 🥰
I really love how your videos feel like they give me the permission to be the main character in my own life. I think for a long time I’ve just let things happen to me instead of actively engaging in it. These have an energy and sense of hope that’s much needed in this time. I’m going to take your advice. I should mention I’m 42 in a month. Better late than never.
Not only the French are allergic to air conditioning, literally most of Europe is (or at least Germany too). That's because we build our houses much more energy efficient and with way better air circulation, so that we do not rely on air conditioners.
Rather less efficient and more relying on heating.
Bc air conditioning also is an ecological disaster. Only americans can use that shit non stop and speak afterwards about climate change like nothing happened
In the UK we dont have air conditioning either but our homes are not more energy efficient. we are just a very difficult peoples. XD
But we still almost die when it's too hot in summer haha
Same in the Netherlands
sometimes we need these strange times to realize what's truly important to us. _To live like we've never lived before_
I can't believe this is on your second channel! Alsoooo... kind of inspiring me to do something similar even if my main channel is still small! Hahaha
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did so. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
--Mark Twain
“Take videos you shot with your phone and make an edit” I just realised how basically nothing exciting is going on in my life lol it actually made me a little sad but I loved your video, it inspires me to create.
Same here! Especially this summer because of covid
I've just taken a look, my camera roll has exactly 99 pictures (I owned that phone for 2 years), most of them are things I had no time of writing down or coffee. And I haven't recorded a single video in that time.
Everyone has things going on!! Record a 5 second clip of how your duvet crinkles in the morning, the sound of your tea or coffee filling the cup, the stretches, the in-between moments of life stitch it together and they all have value in some way
The Attunement Student true! You described it so beautifully. The small moments matter as well :)
Beautiful. I moved to France from the US a few years ago. I've never felt more at home or more connected with any other country than here too. Something in the air here. I now live on the island of Corsica and it's like a different world here! Love your joy and enthusiasm for life! Your films always bring a huge smile to my face :)
Troubadour life 🤙
Bruh how is it that like EVERY SINGLE RUclipsR I watch in France all knows each other :0
I gotta come visit you all some day
C'était un peu bizarre de te voir Cyrus North et toi dans la vidéo de Nathaniel HH
Looks at phone, hasn't recorded a single video on it.
Well, at least the edit will be quick.
Absolutely in favor of the Grand Budapest Hotel soundtrack bits
I really like this new format! It's more authentic. Also, the snapshots you took actually remind me of my early moments abroad, sometimes I miss this feeling of novelty...
Great job my man, this was a stellar video!
Life without expectation is one of the best way to live I believe. Sometimes even the smallest thing can make us happy.
Hoping for the best, expecting the worst 🌻
It really is the little things :) have a great day!
Jessica back at you 🎉
Wonderful storytelling as always.
That no expectations, living in the moment, grateful to be outside feeling was even sweeter this year. Strangest summer I won’t ever forget, and all for the right reasons.
Yes got to enjoy the simpler things like the nature around us 🥰....teaching kids how to entertain themselves when there is nowhere to go
These videos of yours make me miss France so damn much (I have family there), it's almost unfair! But I still get to enjoy the beauty of Portugal where I live, so it's not all bad 😂
"How do you feel?"
Nathaniel -
"Cheese just cheese"
The song at 4:15 has been my earworm for so long and I couldn't find it online. Finally!
PS - It's Begin Again by Nick Mulvey
I was searching for this comment......thanks for making this coincidence.....
the song and cinematography for the Portugal visit UGHHHH * chef's kiss * honestly your videos are always top-notch, thank you so much for the time & effort that you put into them!!
Man, it's incredible how you're there in Paris and able to meet all these other French RUclipsrs. Was definitely a surprise seeing Louanne and Cyrus North in this video, as well as seeing you on Damon Dominique's channel. It seems like all the RUclipsrs are over there in Paris hanging out with each other and living their best lives.
I hope y'all are still there by the time I can move to Paris
Pls drop your insta cause I also wanna move to Paris🤫

What a wonderful way to capture the moment of the season. Life feels so strange these days but you never know when things will change. Enjoying the now (or just being in the truth of the now!), documenting our lives, can be such powerful way to learn, celebrate and remember. Awesome video!
Haven't seen your second channel in a minute, love the direction it's going in!!!
this was beautiful to see ♥️ i haven’t had storage on my phone in months but i finally do again. and with it... i’m just going to fill it up again by putting a little video of my summer together. i forgot how much i love doing that.
The fact that you visited Lyon and you put that in this video... I take it as a really nice surprise while I'm slightly making it personal. 😅
I've had my Erasmus year there in 2016. It is probs one of the things I still cherish to this day. I instantly started sobbing when you showed us the spots you visited, and just thinking that I've seen those exact same places, it's... 🤯.
So yeah, I'm from Romania, I went to uni in the UK, but France has a really special place in my heart that no one will ever steal from me. 💜
This is such a feel good video! I’m so glad you have this second channel
Hi Nathaniel! I only discovered your channels yesterday but I love the atmosphere you've created in your spaces. Also, watching this romantic summary of the summer ("summery"?!) makes me wanna create my own. Beautiful. And "Begin Again"...aaaah!
I would highly recommend visiting Bordeaux. I spent a semester of Erasmus there. It's a beautiful city and there always seems to be something to do. Darwin is a cool place to check out.
Man, your an inspiration. Your work is indescribable !🔥💪🏼
I studied abroad in Lyon last semester, but had to leave with the pandemic. So when I saw you went there, I had some real nostalgia. You look and sound so genuinely happy to be back!
Lyon 😍.... the city where I have spent 6 months last year during my study abroad. 💜 This city is amazing. I love the riverside there.
It's so beautiful, it feels like we are in a paradise, Paris is so intricately beautiful, and your videos feel like watching a movie itself
Watching iconic places through your lens, makes it even more beautiful, Nathaniel ✨💯
Thanks, Daniel. Your videos makes me want free myself from my chains and go live life, so thank you for that. Brought some tears to my eyes.
So cool that this was shot on your phone! Took a trip to Italy recently, including Milan. I recognized some places from your vids from that time, so I tried capturing a little of it as well. You make it look much easier than it is!
I love the advice to put together clips of our life like you did..I feel like sometimes as generic viewers we can feel like we're not special enough to do something like this. Thank you!
*Strange is good sometimes because it’s something new Nathaniel* 🙏
Literally I was thinking of making montage project videos of parts of my life, this is a sign! Thank you and this was such an awesome video. ☺️
I'm so glad you told us about your second channel. I enjoy everything you have to offer!
My summer was also strange, but it definitely gave me a new perspective and gratitude for so many things in my life.
Very nice. Myself and my husband were there a year ago and we love the city of Paris. The buildings, art, people and the history are great. Keep up the great work. (I found you when you were talking to Damon Dominique in one of the parks).
Thought I caught a snippet of the Grand Budapest Hotel in there! I’ll be waiting patiently for Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain to appear in the next one.
i cannot wait to go back to france, and be outsideeeee, this is giving me serious nostalgia
You killed it big time Nathaniel.
Was really waiting for something from you. Thank You for this
So awesome Nathaniel!
I don’t know how I just discovered Nathaniel had a second channel. But I’m happy I did!
This video makes me travel around the world , go to exchanges and explore new adventures , THANK YOU SO MUCH NATHANIEL!
I've been dying to see this kind of content at your main channel!!! Didn't know you had this one! Subscribed immediately! You really should post more content like this! It lifts ones spirit! :) Greetings from Colombia, Nathaniel!
Man, that video was amazing.
I'm from Brazil and is a little bit melancholic for us to see that in Europe the things are starting to get really better.
We're happy for you guys, but sad to understand that our situation is far from being ok.
Would love to see a video on all the books you own and suggest 📚 the background is amazing 😍
You have no idea how much you inspire us. Gracias!!!
This kind of video is so nice and relaxing, sharing the little moments of your travels, the beautiful streets the people the atmosphere of in the restaurants...
This is so enjoyable. Thank you for sharing! :)
I see a lot of influence from the DD's style in filming and editing, and much else.....very good Nathaniel... 😊😊👌
I enjoyed this nice little video. Also, it was a blast to hear Mina in it.
Mostly been home. Or the hospital. So not much to record.
Great video as always!
Thanks for this authentic edit and for the greate music!
Gonna make a video like this one !
Loved the video !!!
I love your content man❤️ im 1000% sure youll grow to one of the most prominent channels on youtube. You deserve it❤️
Thank you for everything! You're a really good storyteller.
Simply Loved it!! Waiting for your love story with France ❤
That was so refreshing!
love your content keep up the good work, you've inspired me to start my own channel!! :)
I loved this edit I caught myself smiling through it all.😃
gosh, I love your work, Nathaniel but this video shows so much growth of your work that this has to be one of my favorite vids of yours
Wow its just one month i have subscribed ur channel and as i got the notification i ran here to watch it.There is always something new and different in it. We Indian call it as "HATKE". Lots of love to u coz u always inspire me ❤thank u 😊
Nathaniel, you inspire me. Thank you. I have all this footage that I shot with my old Iphone and I've been building up the courage to do some creative work with it. This video was the motivation I needed.
Its cool to see the take you're taking with this channel really cool!
i really loved this video... it was not "perfect" like your usual videos but still very meaningful!
Never went outside of my country and Man, your experience and journey showing me how much I'm missing out of life.❤️
thanks for your video!
I love this!
I've been a big fan of the main channel for quite some time and i gotta say this video is a welcome change, I prefer this over other videos that seem more staged and planned. This felt genuine and perfectly encapsulates you.
It's really weird to watch your videos in France after being a subscriber to your channel for over 2 years I think... Especially the last one on your main channel in Lyon in which your were speaking over images of where I spent some of my undergrad years that were kinda difficult... Felt so real yet so alienating, it changed my perspective over those places, for the better ! I don't know if I really 'get' the message when you release new content but it surely questions my perspective everytime. Thanks for... living your life the way you do I guess !
By the way seeing that you connected with Cyrus makes absolute sense. To me you two are some of the most cogent and benevolent creators on the platform and I'd love to see what a colab would look like !
Really enjoyed that one :) thank you Nathaniel!
This is such a beautiful, intimate style of video! I've wanted try videography for a while so I might try this sort of thing as we go into beautiful autumn here in the UK.
I just moved to Paris and got to enjoy every bit of the summer before autumn. It feels home, although I am far from my own home. Will definitely start shooting moments, places and edit them all together :)
Loved that this video was personal, I understand why you put it on your second channel. I think it would’ve been fine on your main one though, it still would’ve done well. (you have a huge fanbase)
J'adore ! Cette manière que tu as de raconter, de philosopher, les leçons que tu tire de tes expériences. C'est touchant et apaisant. Merci !
Every time I see your video with these kind of contents, I get inspired. 😊 Keep going💕
omg i'm late but yo...i hear that grand budapest hotel soundtrack in the back yesss! Nathaniel's got major TASTE!!!
this is so goooood.. so lighthearted
I am soo in love with Paris! That's why I live for this kind of footage. So I thank you for this. Makes me want to plan my next trip there. Luckily just a 2,5 hour Thalys trip away :)
this is so beautiful yet I can't help but envy people who can travel, I barely leave my house since march when the pandemy started. You're phone is so good! Great idea
The soundtrack to this video is so heart warming 😊
Loved thiss
There is a fearful charm about strangeness, something most likely experienced by many people this summer (or this entire year), like a dream that we know is a dream but we pretend it isn't one.
Omg you came to my city Lyon , glad you liked it !!
the music on this was so good 👌🏻 started with wes anderson soundracks and it only became better with each cut
La Bretagne c’est magnifique! Also, Paris is a strange city and I feel that everyone’s experience is so different! For me it got better with time because it started out really rough. I’d say try to see and experience many different things because you can do it in Paris!
Great video. Super authentic. Très bien!
The way this is shot *chef kiss* its really pleasant to look at and im in love with your camera the 4k its noticeable
also i love that your spanish has argentinian accent cause thats the prettiest accent arre it is thou
Great job, love all your videos !
your content makes me so happy. ☺️
The Grand Budapest Hotel sound, just incredible
Wow you know Cyrus north, I love his contents as well, it's awesome!
You are flippin awesome.
