So many counterfactual arguments being made to the effect that he would have won the sprint, captured the bonus and soloed to yellow. Two can play that game. If he would have won the bonus seconds, Jonas would not have raced defensively on the descent, and since most folks seem to consider Jonas to be a slightly better descender he would have not allowed Rodriguez to come back, gapped Tadej and captured the stage. so there.
If one of them gets knocked off by a fan I believe the other will stop and wait, they want to win but not by default and you cannot ask for more than that!!
If Vingegaard cannot break Pogacar in either the next stage or stage 17 it's Tadej's to win. Regardless of the ITT result last year Pogacar is the stronger time trialler and he can win the whole thing there.
Are you sure? Jonas beat Tadej in last year's TdF TT.
Pogacar will can easily close this gap with bonus seconds.
So the Timetrial will probably be the decider
No. About equal tt
@@roadracer1584 No way last year Tadej beat himself😎
@@paulsolon6229 I don't believe that. Pogacar had been worked over last year and was still essentially level with Jonas in the final time trial. I think he will get 15-25 seconds on a 22km TT this year.
Jonas is a better descender so I would have just stuck with AY and JV and try and out sprint him at the summit and at the finish. That would have been 7s gained.
Lets start a petition to fire the guys in the Motor Bikes
Those were not leading questions in search of headlines were they? .......D R A M A !
Damn I am more angry than he is :D
Me too.
For me, tadej is 4 seconds behind, not 10
Por qué no hay seguridad en el ultimo km del premio de montaña, un desastre de tour, además con final de riesgo para los deportistas.
It wouldn’t be the tour without a moto bike causing some sort of issues.
Pog had around 500 meters to retry his sprint. Yeah he got screwed but he could of tried again or been a little smarter. There was ample time for another dig if he wanted too. Props to Jonas taking advantage of it. Waited until the last second and took the shortest line.
yes he technically had some distance but what youre forgetting is that he had no more energy so thats why the 500m didnt really matter after he wasted a bullet
@@baumann9551 if he had no more energy after starting his sprint for 40 meters he might not of won the sprint then. Considering there was another 500 to go.
It is what it is I guess. Btw I don't really disagree. Just another take. I was more surprised Jonas let himself be in the front position at that moment.
@@Sportsloverandrew i def agree with it being a weird move from jonas but i think he was just nervous to have pogi in front since he wouldnt be able to react to a sprint, i think.
But in regards not having energy to win the spring im pretty sure he would have won it because after sprinting he already has a lot of momentum so it would take less energy to ride fast if you get what i mean plus he would be a decent length ahead of jonas.
When are these reporters going to learn that you're never, ever, ever going to get a straight answer from an athlete or a coach. Tadej has to give a respectful answer because he doesn't want to appear bitter or make his team look bad. It's like asking an NFL coach what he thought about the refs. You can't say what you want to say because you'll get fined and nothing will change. So you give the company answer and you move on. We've seen incidents with these idiots on the motorcycles before. Remember when Froome crashed into the back of one up a climb and then started running? These guys are always way too close to the riders trying to get their footage and it's just not right.
Except for the fact that it's not THEIR footage you're right. It's actually OUR footage.
We are the ones who demand to see extraordinary close-ups of the riders during the stage.
Sure this was a stuff-up, but it was caused by the fans primarily, the Moto riders secondarily and Pogacar thirdly for his attack at that particular instant.
Wasting one of Tadej’s bullets is a MASSIVE W for Jonas
Really? Are you sure? You know better than Pogacar, do you?
@@MikeAG333 I’m not a Jonas fanboy, don’t take that comment the wrong way. If that Moto doesn’t block Pog I think he gaps Jonas at the top. I just think Jonas got lucky is all, mate
@@Stufferburgkey word here is “think”.
Too many people, motos couldn’t get up the road safely.
Their main mistake was being side by side instead of single file.
@@stevenmeyer9674 we disagree
What an incredible Stage 14 today! Jonas will win the 2023 TDF but Pogacar will be a close second.
It's not motorsbike fault, he messed it up. What a Mamba moment.
Bikes were in the way and TP had to back off,..It was a farce.
Jonas is still This Point Racing dumb
He has the strongest Team but not using effectly
We will See the next Rays
Woulda taken the time bonus at the top for sure. Such bs
Pogacar is being way to diplomatic . NONE of what happened prior to the bonus point line was his fault . he would have gotten those points if it wasn't for the stupid motorcycles and idiots crowds .
The problem its not the motorbikes but the crazy people (not fans, because fans respect cyclists) all over the road like f... monkeys.
the motorbike rider really shd get a sack and all the fans shd get off the road
How can he say he’s has a good mindset going into the next day….only reason he close to
Jonas is because of bonus seconds - do we deserve a champion that wins tdf because he sprints for bonus seconds 😉 don’t get me wrong I Love Pogi way of rising one day classics but it’s reducing the chance for real 3 three weeks riders to get the podium. Only Jonas can hold him and defend the real way of winning the race
Jonas is king of TdF 2023.
That isan't decided in the comments section of a RUclips video. That will be determined in the mountains and valleys over the next 5 or 6 days.
Formulaic two team dull racing.
He has benefited from some motor pacing from these bikes being so close... on his original attack today and an attack few days ago. So maybe it evens out anyway.
Doped and running like a 🫏. 😂
Ok bro, come back to your puzzle
And you can still type?,...Bravo.
