Excellent 👍. I do the same thing with a simple 20 inches folding bike. For a good gravity and to distribute the weight, i put a front wheel motorised, i change the rear wheel for a double wall rim (like the front wheel). I also put battery and controller on the rear rack in a waterproof case and i finally change the stem to adjust handlebar height. Really Love my Bike! Compact, light, foldable, i can bring him on my apartment. I can ride at 50kmh!! But i always ride at 25-30kmh max... I think it's an Excellent car alternative, i ride everyday to work (20km go & back).
You made that look way too easy! Nicely done! I have a Dahon I'd like to convert as well, but rather have the motor on the front wheel. I'll probably be referring to this video when the time comes!
Absolutely, I worked in construction beck when we were building Nuclear Power Plants and we used a lot of Coppershield when assembling pumps. Our hardware ran at just over 2000 psi and over 600 degrees fahrenheit but I don't know of any that froze.
Well done! It will be great if you make a more complicated one. A bicycle that has motion sensor with alarm; front light LED; starting the motor with a remote controller... etc. What you do is amazing.
WOW well done you, that was incredible you made it look so easy but I think your quite a professional when it comes to electrical wiring. Boy did that little bike shift.
that looked like an absolute perfect scenario build, absolutely no complications. did you have to hook up anything like a brake sensor so the motor disengages when you use the brakes? also aren't you supposed to convert to disc brakes when you do a conversion?
Those 4 zip ties might not be enough if you go over a bump the whole contraption might fly off the bike. Make sure to secure that better to the rear rack.
What I've read about homemade batteries, I would definitely be concerned about fire safety. Cleanest folding conversion I've seen though. Great job. I am very impressed and if that battery still works today (seeing the date this was posted), I'll be even more impressed.
I want my electric bycylce to carry on for more than 1 or 2 hours, so I'm going to find out how many capacitors and at what size they need be to turn one shift phase. Once I established those two factors, I will make in rows the applied factors to take turns going through the three phases in a loop. The trick is a solid state distribution cuircut. The energy return or closed loop would require a generator or inverse motor on the remaining wheel. Of course if one regenerative system is not working try two. Like a truck that has 4 alternators to power a large stereo but with the addition of kinetic energy.
Bom dia meu amigo! Coloca na descrição dos seus videos o passo a passo dos seus projetos para que pessoas assim como eu que curte seu trabalho, possa traduzir no google e tentar fazer aqui no Brasil . obrigado pelos videos muito criativo e de muito bom gosto.
Dang thanks for the video. Now I'm getting inspired to finish my E-bike build. I like the tool you used to weld the batteries! Happy riding ! and I subscribed :)
How much total money did u spend for this whole conversion? Including motors, charger, batteries.... I wonder if its still cheaper to buy ebike at the first place.
where I can get the explanatory diagrams to be able to manufacture my own batteries with connections both in series and in parallel and be able to apply it to the bicycle. Ask also where you buy them. An explanatory diagram is needed to see all the cable connections of the bicycles that have been welded. You could have hung it on a link to a free and public server. Thank you.
Does anyone know of an 18650 1000w 48v battery that would be good for a 1000w hub motor conversion kit? I'm new to the whole ebike thing but I want to build one! Also I need a good 15 miles of range. Plz someone reply because I need help!😰😭
That's really cool. It appears the motor is built in to the hub. That should make things lighter and simpler. Do the bikes charge when coasting? Thanks!
Thanks , The conversion kit cost about $ 130 , the battery with BMS was about $ 150, an aluminum box - $ 30. In total, with small parts such as the charging socket, the cost of conversion was around $ 350
5 years later and still this is one of the best diy folding bike build videos.
You didn't say a word yet your works speak louder, perfect efforts bro. Respect from Nigeria.✅💯🆗

Muy interesante tu comentario mi apreciable amigo ..gracias por haber compartido tu experiencia...GRACIAS

Easily the cleanest DIY one of these I've seen. Great work!
Ji io
The most nice and clean diy project i ever seen on yt
How much price
Absolutely BRILLIANT.👋🏼👋🏼
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Any idea of the cost of this?
A list of suppliers would be great
Great job man. Very clean. You should sell these or convert people’s own bikes. People would feel way safer buying from you than the big companies.
You are soo good at it. Smooth, fast.
You're a pro, nicely done!
Nice work man 👍
..very clean video, well done man
1:20 Would advise putting grease on the motor wheel hub thread. Much easier to remove the freewheel in future.

Great and clean work!!!!!! Congrats
Very clean 🧽 love it
Good project, your battery looks like a home made bomb
A nice clean installation
Well done!
It will be great if you make a more complicated one. A bicycle that has motion sensor with alarm; front light LED; starting the motor with a remote controller... etc.
What you do is amazing.
Amazing project 👌
Although some are more simple than others, you really need to know what your doing. Mechanical aptitude is a must. Some electrical as well.
...... you really need to know what you're doing.
I do not know if that's strange but the video is very smooth and even
no its not strange
Very tidy work , well done you are a maestro at your trade.
I love to watch you building stuff
Hey nice video.. but what about sudden braking? does the motor still running?
I know it's a bad idea but I will be installing a 1500w motor, 52v battery and 45a controller on one of theese :) great build 👍
WOW well done you, that was incredible you made it look so easy but I think your quite a professional when it comes to electrical wiring. Boy did that little bike shift.
A nice and clean convertion
How much is the kit and we're u get the batteries from are they going to last long enough for long riding
Nice video. Where did you get the black metal box?
Nice video
How many miles can you go on a full charged
Thanx
that looked like an absolute perfect scenario build, absolutely no complications.
did you have to hook up anything like a brake sensor so the motor disengages when you use the brakes? also aren't you supposed to convert to disc brakes when you do a conversion?
Excellent build. I don’t have all those equipments and tools you used so I will look for an easier conversion. Any recommendations?
Hi this is very creative, how did you make that battery casing? very helpful

Nice project and video. You made it look easy. : ) Cheers!

Very nice idea to save money!
You make it look so easy 😫
great video well done what power motor was that ?
Awesome tutorial! Keep up the great work dude!
woww.. nice..
amazing.. 😁😎👍👍👌
would you be able to tell me which conversion kit you used, i have been looking for a 20 inch conversion kit which isnt too expensive
В общем - переделка велосипеда в электровелосипед. Нормально. Молодец.
Could you show a link to this box and kit?
I join u in this
Sir, me too..
please.. thnx
me to
You can find these kits everywhere, Aliexpress, Amazon, Ebay with the search term " 250W hub motor kit " .
Nice work. I think it would be helpful if you provided links to some of the kits and your opinion on ratings......thank you.
Is the batteries one packet sold with the motor and dynamo and other components ?
That look like a bomb 😂 6:43
This inspired me to just go ahead and buy a pre-built ebike 🤣
the wheels in the video are 20 inch I think but the link below is for 26 inch wheels. Do you have the correct link please?
Nice clean setup. Why not put battery on the center of the frame?

Is it possible to do this on a gearless, pedalbrake foldbike?
とてもわかりやすい。
ホールセンサがモーターのフィードバック制御に使えるか、スロットルがどれだけセンシティブに反応するか(制御したときの分解能がどのくらいか)が知りたいです。
Dang thanks for the video. Now I'm getting inspired to finish my E-bike build. I like the tool you used to weld the batteries! Happy riding ! and I subscribed :)
Excellent,as usual!
Czesc, swietny filmik! jak oszacowalbys calkowity koszt konwersji?
I cannot get the freewheel over the bolt as the bolt is too big for the whole in the freewheel. Any suggestions?
Super idea to learn from you to modify my unused dehon folding bike
Can i ask what kind of bike is that and what model?
You made two batteries, but only installed one? Is there an auxiliary battery or was that for another project?
I made 2 such bikes
@@maciejnowakprojects please when will the new big spring bow plz plz plz

Is there any version that require minimal tools?
Did you change the hub motor from the 26" to the 20" wheel yourself and what is the power of the motor, 250W, 500W or 1000W, thanks ?
350w motor and the hub motor was already 20"
عمل رائع 👍👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿
I never saw you put the screen on the bike. What went inside the pedal? What went on the batteries? How will you charge it? Shalom

Really good ! Is there any chance you would put links in the description concerning where to buy the parts and their reference ? Thanks a lot !
You make it look very easy but do the kits come with some of those specialised tools?
How much did the conversion cost.? Really neat idea on building your own battery. How big are They?
Another great video!
Hi,
How fast is it?
You can use switch key to protect your bike
Enjoyed watching the video. Excellent! Could you tell, how much did the whole project cost?

E' spiegato molto bene! Saluti dall'Italia
Could you build/weld your own bike frame and build the batteries into it?
Nice vid. Where can I find the wheel hub? Thanks
Have you thought of doing a mountain bicycle with like 48v 16ah battery or an off road electric skateboard?
I was worried I did not update for a long time. What has been going on?
drank beer every day
Pure genius.
Hi. Can you make another video only for the battery construction?
How much and where to buy the kits? Thanks
Łapka w góre i oglądamy :) Pozdro
Can the gears be used with the motor.
Could the battery on this be charged by the movement of the bike from pedalling or going down hills etc?
.
Can you charge the battery through a normal electric outlet?
How much did all the components cost?
you can use li ion battery for that kit instead of lead acid???
