It is surprising how much speed and torque is generated from this small 775 motor !! I have a couple of these motors in my radio control cars and monster trucks. I truly admire your knowledge and skills !!
It should be better if manual pedal and motor option 2 in 1 right? If u want to go manual pedalling I could and if ur tired pedalling u can switched for motor
I understand you must have endless supply of these motors, I have a couple and they are gutless, good conversion idea but need much better motor, even slight uphill will stop that motor dead.
Can't believe that little motor, was able to power that bike to almost 30 miles per hour, nice build , how many miles to a fully charged set of batterys ? And what sort of power up hills ?, Would like to know this information please. Great Video
@@joeblowjohnny2297 you're right. 775 motors were not design to drive an E-bike. I was just impressed how he manage to mount the motor in a best position it could possibly done. I've seen other basic DIYs that is mounted poorly. I've learn something in his video tho. For long term use, this isn't recommended of course but for the sake of learning basics about ebike, i'll give it a thumbs up.
Also , when you see someone throw away a kids electric scooters away ? Grab it , that everything yo will need to put it together ! How simple is that ! Might have to fabricate the mounting and maybe buy new battery is all ! Simple and NO POLLUTION OF THOUGHT .... EVERYTHING IS THERE ! IM BUILDING MINE FROM A THROW AWAY KIDS RAZOR MOPED SCOOTER ! ITS GONNA BE AWESOME !

I like it but I will give you an idea. Instead of resting your feet on the back use the same adapters and add bearings and put them on center of the gears where u use to pedal.
If you remove the derailleur cassette gear cluster from the threaded hub you should be able to screw on a single ratchet then the cassette, a slim spacer may be required so they do not bind. A larger cog can be welded to the single ratchet cog for the drive from the motor, so you can either pedal or use the motor with only the little friction loss being the ratchet mechanism. Or you can use both motor and pedal together. You can rest or stand up on the pedals when using the motor.
OK,with all the metal that you added to that bike and such a small motor,what is you power to weight ratio?And also,the bearings on that motor won't last long. You should try aluminium and adding another 1 or two motors,and use simple brushed ebike controller and use a throttle instead of switches.And also if you use belt instead of chain for the first reduction it'll be much more quiet...
Teste muito suspeito, porque não fez uma filmagem mais ampla? Será que o percurso realizado foi na descida de uma serra? Porque não contratou outra pessoa para fazer as filmagens? Será que embalava no pedal e só depois lifava o motor?
That was really simple but the foot pegs are way to far back if it was me I would made them closer to the front where there old pedals were because putting your feet and legs back that far would be a big pain and that mess your back up because your back is taking all the shock from the bike hitting the bumps other then the foot peg placement the project was perfect loved it and it keep making videos thank you so much and have a great day
the automatic transmission bicycle should be tried for this conversion of your also as it will go uphill better by changing when it wants too. good luck.
Safety is first !!! You need adjustable parasol air brake in front or parachute in the back just like air back in order to control high speed inertia because in case of gust wind blow you to any direction and if a truck coming in front of you at speed of 70mile/hr how you going to control your high speed inertia ?
A lot of good work, but three issues I have after watching. *No gradual speed control, so if you stop in top gear, you'll have to pick the back wheel up to get back to a suitable gear to start again. * The speed switch is simply on and off, so if one gets in to a tight spot, it's not going to switch off unless the rider flicks it off. Should be at least a spring loaded switch. *No safety cut off if the brakes are applied, so really isn't safe. will just keep going if the rider has an accident, or if something gets caught in the chain. also means, the rider cant hold anything in his left hand, as may need to flick the switch off within a split second. The brakes are the first thing for a rider to use to slow down, but the motor will want to keep the bike going regardless. A pretty dangerous setup overall, but as stated, some nice work. Just a lot of other things to consider. Safety has been totally ignored here, including no chain guards! :-(

A+ for idea ! C for craftsmanship ! Let me point out some flaw here ! ...... that motor is way too small and overwork with all that weight and gear ratio .... it will burn up soon ! ..... There way too much gears swapping and way too much noise for sure ! ..... it has no peddling assist or even backup for peddling just in case motor goes down , battery goes dead , gear drive malfunction , way too much drama can go wrong here ! ....... my conclusion ... front wheel drive 7/16" / 3/8" wide belt pulley drive system for smooth and quiet operation . Pulling is much easier than pushing . Less wear on motor and battery . Still have pedal power like a normal bike . I recommend a beach cruiser for more simple and comfortable ride for this project ! REMEMBER , KEEP the engineer simple for longevity and maintenance free operation !

I have to agree with the other comment/replies. This video displayed a relatively simple project using easy to obtain components as well as a basic design to fuel other's imaginations to expand upon. Yes, more powerful motors can be used along with longer lasting battery types, however, the finished project will still be very similar to what we saw in this video. DON'T KNOCK IT.... IT DOES APPEAR TO WORK!!!
