I have that Melitta coffee maker. The timer is so you can set it to come on at a certain time. E.g. have it brew for you getting into the office.
1 proper mug of coffee is 2 large cups on their scale (3 small cups). 14g of ground coffee is the perfect amount with the intensity dial up to maximum. With that you’re going to get a very flavourful mug.

From a perspective of just fleet management, having a standardisation on the make and model of van would make sense. Only one vendor to deal with for warranty, only one selection of parts for maintenance and if one needed a part to get to a job then the commonality could be useful if you have one that is off the road for whatever reason and you need to get another going quickly as you could borrow parts in the short term.
Plus you then have a commonality of parts in terms of storage and equipment carried. Means that all your employees can grab any van as necessary if required (for instance a warranty or insurance claim on their usual van), meaning they always know where everything is (assuming that it is kept organised and tidy) and what to expect from the van.

Had this issue. Not reported by customer thankfully. I ‘found’ unscrewing the switch front with a majns tester screwdriver. The so called electrician had stripped off too much insulation and left too much in back box. No earth. Thankfully a ‘simple’ fix. Not sure nylon screws would hold panel on for long. They do tend to break hot/cold issues. So those pesky little covers would help. Just not prevent the issue occurring.

My wife died laughing at your attempts to use the coffee machine. We have that exact one here at Manordaf B&B. What you thought to be a timer is where you set the time 😂 It does not stay warm all day as it’s a thermal jug! You can however set it up on the timer function to make the first coffee of the day. You get four mugs from one jug. You need to buy a coffee maker with two glass jugs & hotplate if you want fresh Al day coffee. Also buy Morrisons everyday coffee (number 3) & save a small fortune!!

  • @_chrisr_
    @_chrisr_ Год назад +2

I believe that the screw heads must be earthed, but not necessarily with a dedicated link to the back box. Every switch / socket I’ve seen specifically links the screw holes to earth so the installation is compliant, where nylon screws are a solution is when there is no cpc present, eg in a light switch that isn’t wired with one. (hopefully that is a rare circumstance)

Metal socket screws.I believe they should be bonded for safety, I'm not a electrician, however I worked as a Safety and Approvals engineer in the office equipment Industry. We used an articulated test finger to assess contact with potential conductive live parts under fault conditions. Perhaps something like this should be adopted to assess contact. I believe the tip of the test finger that we used would contact the fixing screw head.

Back when I used to work for a living I ran the water and wastewater systems for a small city. Plenty of work for an electrician but we did not have one on staff and we used a contractor. He was pretty good at his trade. I did notice though that every time he opened up a panel he would say essentially the same thing... "Who the F**K wired up this disgusting mess?". He had been our electrical contractor for years and very often the person who wired up the disgusting mess was him years earlier. Love your channel and have subscribed. Cheers from the wilds of Canada. ~ulrich.

Now dorty switch wipe with a dry cloth only.

Great job - give the customer a "real" test result on their pyro. I love MIC for the fire safety and neatness. In my opinion, the "other" person or crew knew nothing about the stuff - or were hoping to make a mint out of the customer. Either way, they are untrustworthy, maybe unqualified, cowboys.

As a liftmechanic most work is in the city and try to save some money with parking in pre booked garages. Cheapest I know in Amsterdam is just €10 for a day. Parking on the streets it's € 7,50 an hour. For € 45 you can park from 0900h-1900h.
Most garages have 1,9m height restriction, my Vito is just 1,89m (with roofrails) and fits in most garages. Sometimes I get lucky and get offered a parking space in the hotel garage during the job.
The last job I did I was able to park in the garage. Other tradesman that saw my van in the underground parking thought they could also park there. In a 4 week period I witnessed a Transit Custom, VW Transporter and a Renault Traffic get scratched roofs. The VW even dislodged the overhead door and got stuck. Had to be pulled out by a tow truck 😂.
So if you ask me go with the Mercedes eVito but wait until the end of the year because there is a facelift version comming (according to the MB-Vans rep.).

Putting half an hour on my journey time to recharge mid day doesn't sound like fun tbqh.. Electric cars aren't efficient enough to service important economy sectors.
They're also relying on fossil fuels creating electricity at the power station and our grid simply cannot handle a nation of electric cars.. not half a nation.
So we have to ask ourselves why they are pushing it so hard 100 years since Ford made their first one..?

Do you have a earth or Equipment grounding conductor

Than add a RCD 6 mil circuit breaker to circuit.

Usual click bait title 😕 But I have to admit, it was one of your better videos, as it was a nice change to see the "backroom" now working (But it was supposed to be working since Cory made the "recording area" so what happened?) Also interesting about Hello Fresh, I wondered were they small, the answer is obviously yes, too small.
Very good idea for the Friday beer (No, not for the beer, but for the social chat)

You can save a lot of time and money moving on from Sage. Always has been much too complicated. (Love the vids) Umm, how many pints did you drive off with?

VW transporter or ford transit. Ford transit would offer you a more space for equipment. Lots of space for racking.

Cheers from Florida! Enjoy your videos. Got a question, not electrical related, if you guys use the metric system, why do you go to the pub for a pint? Congratulations on what you’ve achieved, seems to me to be well deserved and earned through good work.

We are a strange country in the fact we use a mixture of imperial and metric 🙃

Love to see the EICR on the condemned flat. The list…. Top 10 McDonalds in Cambridge? Ok, I know you are passionate about H&S in your work on site, but don’t neglect your office. You need a full size keyboard and mouse at a work station to comply with a DSE assessment. Laptop keyboard and mouse should only be a temporary solution. Stay safe and keep these awesome vids a coming. Thanks for the content.

I think 10kW is *minimum* for a household... unless you're only talking critical loads, or short outages... if you've got any induction cookers, this is *especially* true. The big burner on our cooktop takes 3.5kW peak... the smaller burner 2.5... so that's pretty much your 5kW right there... maybe I just don't understand typical UK Household usage... anyone?
