Infinity Gauntlet expansion aside, the nice thing about difficulty in Marvel United is that the easiest way to up difficulty -- removing wildcards from your own deck -- also makes characters feel significantly more unique.
I hear the developers talking in the new xmen united videos and content talking about "building" towards a boss. Which I think is what you need to do here. There are people that can generate a lot of symbols and characters like scarlet witch that can put those great cards back in your hand from the timeline. Building towards thanos makes it a challenge, I'm not sure he's beatable with a random lot.
I don’t really like that design philosophy. I’d want to play whatever hero I want against whatever villain I want. Edit: I mean I suppose if Thanos is already the hardest villain in the game, I would imagine that randomly playing cards would be an Automatic Loss
@@TheShadesOfBlack I think the game is too light to have this kind of expectation. There's bound to be stronger heroes than others against certain bosses, and overall stronger team setups. Plus, Thanos is the big bad guy from the MCU, it would be kind of anticlimactic to have him as strong as all the other villains. That being said, you can always tweak his difficulty by only adding 1 or 2 infinity stones when fighting against him. That should give you more leeway to pick a random team and expect a fair fight.
@@vonwoolf9963 I’m fine if Thanos is hard. He should be. My edit about playing random cards was actually meant to go on a comment thread where we were talking about the mind stone. Lol. But with that being said, in both this game and X-men United, I don’t want to feel like I NEED to pick certain heroes if I want to win. Like you said, it’s a light game, so I want to just open it up, grab some characters I like, and have fun. In X-men United, I don’t want it to feel like “Oh, we’re fighting Magneto. Here are the 4 playable heroes, who wants who?0
I fought against that beast once. He had only one Infinity stone. But he wiped me: bad luck with his cards, bad luck with mines. I didn't manage to clear 2 missions. Frustrating. But I think he's beatable, with little luck.
Oh my gosh!! That gauntlet is a piece of trash!! What kind of quality is that!? This is so sad. I wasn’t expecting a full on metal glove, but that is one of those cheap Halloween mask plastics that will crack when you slightly push into it. How could they have had such a signature item be so garbage?
This is great for those who love Thanos.....but there are sooooo many Thanos/Infinity Gauntlet games out there. For me, the biggest draw of United is a huge variety of villains.
"From now on heroes must play their cards at random." That is the worst design I've heard in a long time. I can't believe it wasn't addressed in the video.
How big of a deal is that realistically? It kinda sucks that it’s a permanent effect instead of just 1-2 turns. But it’s not like your entire turn is just playing a card. You just have to make whatever actions you have really count.
@@TheShadesOfBlack I suppose it depends on how you look at this game, but it's already paper thin and this is removing one of very few decision points. So even if you can win with this effect, you're not really playing.

Dr. Strange once said there's only one in 14 million scenarios to beat Thanos....maybe the developers thought of that lol
When will this come to stores? Or did it already?

@@TheShadesOfBlack My bad then.

Honestly, the cards are more than enough to represent the stones acquired. Or even the colored marbles.
I went on ebay to buy Thano Gauntlet that comes with 6 LED stones for less than $40 shipped. Now the game looks 10 times better.

opening it up, I basically said if that card ever needs to get in the deck it's being replaced

Yeah, really don't like that one
Will never support a company that has KS exclusive, "rare itens", promo packs, and other gimmicks which rip off the majority of players.
Are you sure the "majority" of players are ripped off? Most players of the game haven't said that...
You’re missing out then.
