Love this product over all the others available (I've owned/used many). Simple, small and easy to leave on the camera. Can't wait for the new version to add to my main camera body. I'm a Kickstarter backer.
i love it - in so many ways - and i aint paid for this comment - sometimes i cannot access viewfinder so the unleashed helps me - using the app to control camera settings also allows me not to take off my gloves (hands not too strong) - going to start to try out astro and timelapse next - so glad i got it - it just works (Nikon z5)
Hi Miguel, yes both the Unleashed '22 and Unleashed '18 (currently available) are compatible with the Nikon Z9! The retail price will be 249€ but you can currently pre-order it for less on Indiegogo: www.indiegogo.com/projects/unleashed-22-timelapse-longexposure-geotagging#/ We estimate that we'll be able to start shipping in December this year.
I have the 22 unleashed. However I can’t figure out at all how to simply set the camera to intervalometer? I just want to take for example 10 shots at 60 seconds each. I can’t see any setting for multiple shots at one set exposure. The PHOTO mode has no “number” of shots. A real shame. Any help appreciated
I tried using my unleashed the other day I went to the holy grail section to do a day to night timelapse but the unleashed would not auto ramp it would automatically take the pictures for the intervals i set it too but it wouldn't change my settings I had to manually change the exposures i don't know if I was in the wrong mode or what but that kind of sucked. Is it suppoed to be in timelapse mode for it to autoramp? Becuase the auto ramp mode is not in the app anymore.
Hi Alan, for technical (and all other) support requests, please always use our support form so we can best address the issue your are facing: www.foolography.com/support-form/ Yes, you need to be in the auto ramp screen of the app - the timelapse screen is for timelapses without exposure adjustment. We have not removed the autoramp feature so please include screenshots in your error report, as we have not heard this mentioned before. Thanks in advance!
Hi, it does not have live-view, but yes, it works hand-held for many use-cases, especially geotagging. But many features will of course shine on a tripod (long exposures, timelapses, etc). The Unleashed is designed to give you full control over your camera so you can apply your skills and take better pictures, rather than attempt to take better pictures for you ;-) One of the Unleasheds primary objectives is ease of use. We really want you to use the Unleashed, and we want you to be able to use it all the time. We have therefore designed it so that it is always ready, requires no effort (or premeditation) to get started, is intuitive while using it, and doesn't ever get in your way. Everything about the Unleashed works towards this goal, and when you compare it to Arsenal, it becomes especially obvious: FORM - tiny, flat, sitting directly on the ports of the camera, so you can always leave it on the camera, and it's already there when you need it. It's so small and positioned in a way that it won't hinder you when you're taking photos, on or off the tripod. The hotshoe is free for any other kind of accessory, or just ... you know - no accessory at all Most models require no cable at all, and on Nikon it's just optional for some of the less used features. Still we've designed this cable to be as out of your way as possible - tiny, flat, right-angled plugs, with a short, thin and flexible cable. POWER - You don't ever need to charge the Unleashed - it needs no battery, and just uses a tiny amount of power from your camera. So you can shoot whenever you want, for however long you want. So you never have to worry about whether you might want to do another timelapse later in the day, or tomorrow, your Unleashed will be ready. We're also adding some extra power-saving features, you can actually take a long timelapses on a single (camera) battery charge! CONNECTION - We use BLE rather than wifi. Yes that means less Bandwidth for transferring photos, but it also means extremely low power use (see last point) and really easy, automatic and quick connection setup! In other words, it's really possible to spontaneously put your DSLR onto a Rock near the Beach, pull out your smartphone, and take a quick Self-portrait, and your Girlfriend will still be smiling in the photo, rather than have an annoyed expression because you're taking so long to plug in your device, get the wifi connection working, and finally take that shot... You'll still see whether you framed it right on the thumbnail, and if you have to move a little further to the left. And we're even working hard on some extra features for image transmission! Stay tuned for that! FUNCTION - The Unleashed is packed with features, but all easy to understand, and easy to apply, while still allowing all advanced settings. We even make "Holy Grail" Day-to-night transition Timlapses easy to do for anyone. The cool thing is that we can easily add features (like focus stacking, HDR-bracketing or even live view) in the future, with a simple app or firmware update. UI - The App is designed to be really intuitive - all the settings are right at your fingertips, just one click away, not buried in some menu structure, and at any point in time, the trigger button is there so that you'll never miss a shot. SMARTNESS - The Brains of the Unleashed are in the hardware/firmware, not the app. The app is "just" a User Interface. That means even if there are connectivity issues, when you go out of range, your phone dies, or you just don't want to stay with your camera for the entire duration of your 24 hour timelapse, The Unleashed will continue controlling the camera, just as you previously planned. Aside from this, there are lots of other big differences, such as the Unleashed's support for Multiple cameras and Native Geotagging (GPS data stored right into the metadata of the photo, within the camera, not on the app). I hope that helped a little bit. Please feel free to ask if you have further questions.
I'm interested in buying one, but I need some information that I can't find. For large exposures, is it possible to set a specific time for a photo? For example, 54" or do I have to do it manually (press when starting the capture, count the seconds and press again to stop the capture? Thnaks and kind regards.
You can choose the time in the app, but you can also do it manually. Feel free to download the Unleashed app and test the virtual Unleashed to check out all the features of the app :)
Question, I want to use this on my new Nikon Z5. I see it listed on your compatibility chart. Is this too good to be true, does it really work for long exposures more than 30 seconds?
Love this product over all the others available (I've owned/used many). Simple, small and easy to leave on the camera. Can't wait for the new version to add to my main camera body. I'm a Kickstarter backer.
Thanks for the kind words, and for your support!
Excited to receive the product soon!
Just received mine today. Looks great but so much on it doesn’t work! It’s simply greyed out on the app. And there are no instructions at all ☹️☹️☹️

and no live view but shot review
Thank you for the lovely feedback, Jane!
Wow this looks impressive. Is it available for Nikon Z9? and What's the cost? Could not find anything online regarding availability. Thank you

You'll need to switch to the timelapse screen in the app, there you'll be able to set this up!

@@foolography Wonderful, I had already reserved it because I imagined it could be done 🤣 The truth is that the device looks great.
Question, I want to use this on my new Nikon Z5. I see it listed on your compatibility chart. Is this too good to be true, does it really work for long exposures more than 30 seconds?
Yes! you can do long exposures up to 4.5 hours with the Unleashed on the Z5! (And pretty much any other camera)
Does Nikon z30 will be available to use with unleashed 22? Thanks
While we don't have a Z30 here to test it, it should work :) The Unleashed would plug into the micro-HDMI and USB-C ports.
Wow
What motion control brands work best with unleashed?
So far, we have only added support for Black Forest Motion and Syrp. More will follow!
@@foolography Thanks!
You've got to change the name of your company!
Nah... we like it! 😉
