Thanks for useful review. Actually, you can change the programming of the drinks by pressing brew button until the drink figure flashes fast. Then, you release brew button and press it again when the desired amount is reached.

Thanks for the review. One suggestion I would make is to demo an espresso drink and a coffee drink so we can see how easy it is to switch back and forth. You had mentioned a "bypass" in the bean holder. Is that for changing the bean type for a single beverage (like if the machine was filled with espresso beans but you wanted to make a regular coffee). Finally, I assume since there is a grinder dial that the machine doesn't automatically change courseness based on the type of drink you are making?

@@pablod3734 So far, it’s amazing, easy, and pretty much everything is automated. Drinks are hot and taste amazing. I don’t have much experience with espresso machines, I’ve upgraded from my drip machine to this. I had the same thought of going to the one on special at CT but decided going with this one at Costco because of the ease of return if I’m not happy with it. CT has some whacky returns policy. Hi! My machine model is ecam 23.260 (without sb) and I noticed that your milk container has 3 froth settings in addition to insert and clean. Is my model different or? Can i purchase the milk container cover separately?
I'm experiencing a few problems with the beans feeding into the trough....producing an "add beans" error message, even when the container is full. Any advice?
We just ordered this machine. You say not to use the oily beans but what about dark Ground Coffee, like Starbucks? Is it to protect the grinder or the machine entirely?
Oily beans will clog up the grinder and other components in superautomatics. It won't break the machine, but it will need to be cleaned out in order to work properly again.
I inherited be of these at my office and am responsible for maintaining it. It has stopped working and gives me the error message, “Add Pre-Ground Coffee”. I have no idea why a Cappuccino Machine with fresh beans is asking for Pre-Ground Coffee when I am following the steps to make a cup of espresso. It may work when I select Cappuccino, but I don’t want the milk.
So how does it taste? Is the espresso thick or thin? How's the crema production? Those are the most important points. Anybody can learn how to push a button.
Version 1.0 was much better than 2.0 I bought the previous version at the same price last year and it was perfect. These are the functions that were on last year version and not anymore with the new one. Water Temperature, Frother (Milk) only option, Milk option with lots of foam or just hot milk, Timer, clock. It is just ridiculous that this unit is more expensive and doesn't have the best features. The main problem is, when you start to make a latte, the grinder starts first. If you have any problem with the frother all that grounded coffee will go to waist. The previous version you could press the capuccino button twice to get frothed milk only. Not anymore. Very disappointed..
Waite until this piece of shit will brake .Most of the time will be no parts available bc those as...don’t want you to fix it on your own .servise is not aloud to sell parts to public.What a piece of crup.When I called servise they smiled when telling me I better buy new $ 1000 machine

Perhaps I missed it, but how do you prepare a coffee using already ground in the shoot. How does it know not to grind from beans when you press brew?

Are you using very dark roast beans? Oily beans will cause feed/clogging issues with superautomatics.
because the feeding is not that steep the beans don't always go inside just push them when you hear the grinder grinding air 😉
