@@karialy1479 Yes, when Shizuo stopped in front if it, it was probably thinking "please gods, save me!" and the prayer was not only answered, but the gods even granted that machine a blessing.
Shizuo is the best character in the whole series. Period.
One thing that makes him even better to is his VA in dub is Crispin Freeman (VA of Kyon in Melacoly/Disaperance of Haruhi Suzumia dub and Alucard in Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate)

The thing is Shizuo is a very pacific person until someone really piss him off, in special smart asses and troublemakers. The first anime season is inaccurate and exaggerated his temper in order to attract more public. After the second season we see a quiet and serene Shizuo similar to how is portrayed in the light novels.
Pretty sure they wanted to accentuate that Izaya returning made him more rage induced. We saw a few times like when he got shot and was standing in the rain that he was rather calm.
The triple nature of having a non confrontational disposition, a hair trigger temper, and a body built for destruction.

it's not even because of shizaya (atleast for me) i just dont see shizuo and varona ending up together, i mean he's happy he has a kouhai now, and she respects him BUT she still wants to be the one that kills him. For now she's stuck working with tom and shizuo but if you've watched the newer episodes of drrr x2 ketsu you will see that she's going back to her initial thought of wanting to be the one who kills shizuo
fun fact izaya is jealous of her, all he wants is attention for shizuo and ofcorse its not the best way to get attentionn. Not only does she want to kill shizuo, and he's aware of that, she's the only one who can tame shizuo who hasnt known him for a long time, that pisses izay off the most. xD

To be honnest, I have a problem with her personality too xD But indeed these other reasons are importants... In the normal course, when I ship two guys together in an anime and if I really love a character and if I'm really possessive with him, I can accept to ship him with a girl character providing that I love the personality of the girl ( Sorry for my english again)
Shannai Dushu I see. I prefer yuri over yaoi. Yaoi is okay though. But I don't ship characters that flat out 100 % hate each other even if it's yuri and they look great together character design wise. And example would be Mika x Namie. ( But another reason I wouldn't ship it is I hate Namie )
