The RX8 Ultra is IMO the best shooting bow this year. Mine will be here Monday. Can’t wait.

I just shot all these bows plus a PSE this week and it was really hard to pick a clear winner based on feel alone. They really are so close, that I feel like there was no wrong bow to pick. The differences are so subtle and minute, it was difficult to choose. My top two came down to the RVX 34 and the Lift 33. I ended up going with the Mathews. I like the idea of being able to change my poundage without having to change the limbs in the off season. The bow shoots great, I love the new cam and how it holds too. And the longer riser with the wider limb pockets feels like your shooting a bow with a much longer ATA then a 33” bow.

I got my prime rvx 34 and I am in love with that bow

I shot both the Alpha x 33 and Lift 33 and while both great bows, the Lift felt better to me and the features sold me on it. Being able to go from 55-80lbs by just swapping mods and not needing to buy expensive limbs is a big deal. Plus it was MUCH lighter. I agree about the backwall on the Lift, it trained me to pull into the backwall instead of relaxing.

Very good point. I went with the lift 33 as well, mainly because of the light feeling. That short valley does take some getting used to though. I shot it against the alpha x 33 and both new bowtechs.

    • @TangoOne
      @TangoOne 5 месяцев назад

I'm already at least 500 arrows into my lift with no complaints. I don't even notice the valley anymore and letting down is easier than any of my other bows.@@kip.k

I think the RVX 36 is a sleeper people will fall in love with if tried. Western guy and still use the 36 out of trees, blinds and spot and stalk

I've been out of the compound market for a few years ( been trad for the last years)
But after years of 30 inch ATA bows i switched to a 33. With my 29 inch draw it just made loads of difference in my shooting.
If i ever did go back to compound, it would for sure be a 33 or longer.

That's where I'm at right now. I've been shooting a Mathews DXT for almost 16 years and although it's a great little bow...I think I've been doing myself a disservice. I'm 6'2 and somewhere between 29-30" draw, depending... As good of a short ATA bow as it is, I need a longer bow.

Great content fellas. I currently shoot a Matthews Atlas and I am debating on what to get next. I am looking at the new Matthews Lift and the Prime Revex 6.
I have a 32” draw so I’ll be maxing out both of the bows at 31.5”
Have my Atlas topped out at 78#
Shooting 462gr Victory VAP TKO Elite arrows. Current setup chronos at 307.

I prefer a 34-35" ATA compound bow. My 2013 compound bow specs are 35" ATA, 340 fps, 6.25" brace height, & 4.5 pounds weight. If I replaced it with the same brand, the 2024 specs would be 34" ATA, 342 fps, 6.25" brace height, & 4.5 pounds. I seriously prefer my old bow over the new ones, and it's cheaper to think that way! I don't see myself buying another bow in my lifetime. If my bow was stolen, I would consider an Athens Axxis 35 even though its forgiving 7" brace height results in a slower (327 fps) bow.

You should do the speed tests maxed out. It’s silly to try to be exactly 70 pounds. There isn’t a bowhunter on the planet that is going to make sure their bow is exactly 70 pounds, everyone is going to max out. I understand your trying to be fair though

Thats the problem with archery shops outside of the us. In the us nobody leaves the shop without a bow fitting to the customer. I am very sorry but you try to escape your job. You sell a bow to a customer. It set at even tiller from the factory, he shoots barebow. And then you complain why he doesn’t want to keep it around even tiller? Are you insane?

Unless you use a calibrated scale which almost no bow scale is, the difference is so minimal its ridiculous for you to even mention. It is less than 1% you should learn some basic math. It would also have to be pulled by a machine to guarantee that the exact same pressure is applied. I love people like you that can find fault in everything. Get your juice box reloaded you need it.

What is wrong with you? If the bow is slightly over 70 pounds, you can adjust it to be exactly 70 pounds with ease. You want a 70 pound bow or 60 pound bow to be slightly over that so you can set it at the exact poundage (if that's really important to you). If the bow maxed out at 68 pounds or something, you might have something to complain about. I find your multiple comments to be a bit silly quite honestly.

    • @bigz5262

If you bumped the Mathew’s up to at least 70 pounds and adjusted the hours down to 70, the speeds would be even if not Mathew’s faster. You hamstrung the Mathew’s. Let the hours be close to 71 pounds and didn’t even get the Mathew’s up to 70. Fuckin wack
