Awsome video. I was a mathews guy for years, my local archery shop put a blindfold on me a couple years ago, gave me a solution ss, and now i have 2 bowtechs.
Do you know how privileged you are shooting 9 different bow! And you nailed it! Props to James! The fact that you have got it perfectly is that you have had a chance to shoot all of these before! That was nice! Thanks to mfjj and podium archery for that collab! Hope we had that type of archery store, knowledge, and shooting range here in quebec Canada. You are really lucky! 🎯🤟✌️👍👊👌♥️🇨🇦
That was so much fun to watch, you in a coop with Podium Archer! Love it, thank you! Do that more often, please. We do not have nearly no stuff like that here over the pond. 🤘
You know how the internet is. Keyboard warriors going to say you could see no matter what😂 anyways did you watch thunder valley race yesterday @BowDisciples
MFJJ, got a Darton riser width question. Running a Hamskea Trinity, and adjustment is maxed out left, and centershot is still right (by a hair). Does you bar adapter compesate for this? Is it thinner? Ive been trying to design one myself, but machine shops in my area are not coming through. I can and have tuned multiple biws out this way, but i like to stay a centershot
Great job James, such an intrrssting idea for a video. I love the crossover with mfjj and podium archery, i would love to see more of those. Nice way of rating the shot and feel of each bow, keep it up guys!
It's awesome of Mathew's to take care of their customers the way they are. You have to love a company that stands behind their products the way Mathew's dose, there isn't many companies that do that anymore. Someday I might be able to afford one lol
Yeah I tested this with a similar hat he keeps tipping his head back and you can easily see when you do that the nose creates a gap under the hat that gives a perfect view if you look at an angle you can see everything and even if he didn't tip his head he could still see the bottom end of the bow and that would be enough to tell
I liked that he was trying to give his thoughts on each bowl instead of cutting him off lol. Have him do it without the blindfold and give his commentary on each bow.
It's funny how distinct the grips are from bow to bow. Even wearing a glove, I'm not sure if you wouldn't feel it. Maybe if you shot them all off the bare riser? Core SR in performance vs a Hoyt Ultra... that Ultra has a WAY better feeling draw imo
I shot the hoyt rx7 back to back with the carbon one probably 50 times trying to decide. Then I realized the hoyt already has a stabalizer and the orbits weren't in the one. I left the shop with the carbon 1. They are both elite bows but I wasn't a fan of the spongy back wall and the hump being mid draw on the hoyt. Both the rx and the twin. Honestly for the price the cp30 was probably the best bang for your buck for western hunting. Both are solid bows tho it just comes down to what makes you feel the most comfortable. Agree on the bear draw cycle. I had a eko for a couple years and it was hard as hell to tune the hamd shock out of it. Drawing 70 felt like 90 and the lurch was terrible.
Why does the draw cycle not really improve with Bear? They have been in the flagship market for about five years now, and I'm sure a company like Bear has an entire team of engineers who could greatly improve the draw cycle. I shoot an Elite Carbon Era, but I'm rooting for Bear flagships for some reason. lol!
Special request for MFJJ. Explain why the PSE Mach 30 is so accurate at distance. Enquirery minds want to know. There is RUclips video of a guy shooting an apple at 145 yards, twice in a row!
I wish this blind test was done by someone who was NOT so familiar with each bow so that brand bias (by grip feel ) wasn't a factor. But still, this was good. The follow-up test should be interesting. I have only tried a few different bows but recently tried a friend's Bear and hated the grip. How would the ranking differ if it was Brianna or some other woman doing the shooting?
I’d have to agree with u on the draw cycle on the bear in my opinion the cycle is terrible but as far as it not having any let off that doesn’t make sense cause cause once u get it back it almost holds its self
I am watching him feel all over the bow while MFJJ is writing on the white board to figure out what it is. He should have worn a glove and not been allowed to touch anything other than the handle.
@@BowDisciplesI shoot 70 lbs but tested mathews, pse, Bowtech, and Hoyt at 60 because I hadn’t shot in a few months. My experience was the Hoyt felt like 80lbs, the Bowtech was a happy medium but vibrated like crazy. Nothing stood out about it. The pse and lift felt almost identical but I preferred the pse
@@keith3658 I really liked the revolt x, I shot it along with a sr350 and an elite omnia, I choose the sr350. I shoot in comfort mode, performance is doable but feels like dog poop.
Yes, please!!! 2 videos! One of the funnest vids in a while. MFJJ + BD = awesome entertainment
More coming 👌
This is entertaining as heck. Love that Josh had to hear someone liked the Hoyt more than the Mathew’s 😂😂😂
Thanks man, it was fun
For sure. You know that hurt the inner Mathews fanboy in him lol
😂😂

🤘
Will do 🏹
Every time you tipped your head back you could see.
That is incorrect
I was about to say why did you tip your head back the exact same every time🤣🤔, I reakon you could see out the bottom of it for sure🤣🙏
I could not
You know how the internet is. Keyboard warriors going to say you could see no matter what😂 anyways did you watch thunder valley race yesterday @BowDisciples
Just highlights unfortunately. Good race?
Very cool video! Awesome to see you and Josh working together and putting out great content. Keep it going for the support of archery! Thank you.
Thank you!
There's no better way to think of a blind test than a blind test) Less marketing, more objectivity. COOL!
Thanks!
Fantastic video idea! Can’t wait to catch the next version of this.
Thank you! Next one is great
Josh, you’re a brave man. I was waiting the whole time for “Justin” to send an arrow into your fridge.
😂😂😂
Ahhh Fuk .. Me too !
Yeah, Justin from bow discipline ! 🤣🤣🤣 that one is still making me laugh! Best funny moment of tac to date this year! 🎯🤣🤣🤣✌️👍👌
😂😂 love it
Classic lol

Finakky! U guys are doing it!! I still say this is the best most u biased way to have someone pick a bow! I have done it many times!!
Yup! Loved it
lol good job, I wouldnt get any right haha. Cant wait to see the follow up video of this!
For sure 🏹

90% let off on the elite and you say it’s jumpy? 😂 you almost have to force the bow forward to get it to go down with that much let off.
Yeah im trash
@@BowDisciples that’s not what I said lol. 😂
😂 I know im playing brotha
Videos like this are cool, it would be nice to have a final review of all bows tested for the year! Keep up the great work! 👍
Thanks!

Absolutely!
When you pick up a naked Mathews lift your like “wtf how is this bow so light?” it’s indistinguishable. Especially the 33, is light and top heavy
Roger that

False

Have him do it without the blindfold and give his commentary on each bow.
Done deal
Great vid. Will be very interesting to see the gloved comparison and see if your thoughts change. Thanks!
Yup! It was wild

Dude for sure
Really enjoyed this one! I think the glove hand would be a great idea.
It would be cool to have both of you guys do this & guess the bow/score.
Stay tuned 👌
What do uyo thik about the ESP suprer X in the porple coulr
Haven't tried it

Yessir!
Can yall include Obsession Bows flagship bow next time plz?
Take the grips off and shoot?
Good idea
But a glove could effect the vibration feel?
Yup it could
Why the Kairos and not the Ethos??
It's what they chose for me

Really interesting video idea! I thought for sure we were gonna see a 2g frig with a peep hole when MFJJ just walked away....
😂
Special request for MFJJ. Explain why the PSE Mach 30 is so accurate at distance. Enquirery minds want to know. There is RUclips video of a guy shooting an apple at 145 yards, twice in a row!
Wow!
He tilted his head back to see the bow every time
I couldn't see anything lol not even my feet

Where's the second part?
It'll be out eventually 👌
Im a mathews guy, absolutely love my lift. But bowtech has been close to get me to switch! Probably the only other bow id consider
Roger that!
Really liked this video, refine it and make it harder to feel grip like you said and provide feedback.
Stay tuned 👌
Ohhh the hate on the “ tip back your head and looked” 😂 maybe he actually knows? Heaven forbid a guy knows his stuff
Hahaha all good

Excellent content its great seeing everybody making friends it's really cool God bless and see you.on the next one
Thank you 🏹
This would be interesting with someone who's never shot the newer bows. Glove is definitely a good idea.
Agreed 👍
Interesting that the grips made that big of a difference in "feel".
For sure
Not really, the grip is the only part of the bow you touch when shooting. It makes a huge difference.
🏹🏹
Awesome as always! Thanks for the info
Anytime
Which one had the smoothest easiest draw?
Tough to say, stay tuned for part 2
Tons of fun! Let's go! 🏹
Yessir!
Looking forward to next step
Yessir
Were all the bows set at same weight and draw, that Bear looked like a tendon tearin' mess!
29 inch 65 pounds
@@BowDisciples destroyed my rotator cuff in May,so I'm not in the market for a bow right now,but if I was,it wouldn't be that Bear
For sure brotha
Follow through like a ballerina 😂😂😂🏹
Key move
Might be one of my favorite videos
Thank you, so fun
Between a Ss34 n Revex4 which would you pick? Hunting only. Rebecca is faster due to mods.
34 prolly
@@BowDisciples thanks I just bought a ss34 and like it coming from a realm x
Ss is great!

Great
Again
Hahaha love it
I need this on a t-shirt!
so what was his favorite bow ?
Check the scores
Wow, James knows his stuff.
🫡
That looks like it was a lot of fun!
Definitely!
Very entertaining. You guys work great together. Keep making content with each other
🏹👌
Looks like a lot of fun!
So fun
Bro tilted his head back like 800 times
Yeah, definitely cheated
Yep this was good! 🤘🏼
Thank you
Unless you change the feel of the grip, you should be able know what bow you have in your hand! 🤘🏻🤙
Roger that
DUDE I AM A BIG FAN
Thank you
I’m gonna go with the Core SR
Good choice
" justin" from " Bow discipline" knows what hes talking about!! 😅😅
🏹🏹🏹
Id say a Prime RVX if there is one
Cool!
Such a great idea!
Thank you!
Lol of course the Bowtech 😂😂😂
👌
Great video. That was nice.
We had a blast
Great view but part two will be interesting
Definitely
This was an awesome video
Thank you
MFJJ!!!
🏹🏹
Good content. Lets see video 2 with a glove..
Coming soon
Oven mitts.
Yup
Wear a batters glove. Realistic and safe grip, but wont be able to feel
👌👌👌
For sure need to take out the tactile sense next time to make it a better comparison!😂
Got you
The problem was that he'd shot all of that bows prior so he was familiar with them.
I did not
@@BowDisciples Then you're pretty good bro! Maybe a piece of rigid foam taped around the grips would be a good idea for the next experiment.
Check out part 2 👍
The iron fist test!
👌👌
Mathews has the worst draw cycle of any bow!!! To me it’s just like that bear with that dump at the end
Oh dang
Blind fold plus wear thick gloves too... some people can grip the bow and know what they have
Watch part 2
Should have checked the -let-down, draw twice.
Good idea
You let him see the bows hanging before you blindfolded him. Better would be not even seeing them ahead of time.
Ok
Grip tape everything
Not a bad idea
Cover the Gap next time with a piece of tape or something next time and I bet the outcome would be different
Incorrect
I am watching him feel all over the bow while MFJJ is writing on the white board to figure out what it is. He should have worn a glove and not been allowed to touch anything other than the handle.
Watch part 2
Grip tape on them
Nice
Tape the grips
Ok
Wonder what his draw length is. Alpha x 33 at 29” is by far the worst draw cycle imo
29 inch draw 65 pounds on all bows

Bowtech
Yessir!
Just picked up a revolt x. Upgraded from my 2011 bowtech invasion. Both bows are shooters but that revolt x is sweet
Nice!

you have to wear a cloth glove. i'd like to see a true, i dont know what i'm shooting review
Hoyt
Ok
All american, no thanks. It's starting to feel more than a bit forced.
Ok
