This is the first channel that has tested a bow at 26 inches, which is great. My draw length is 27 inches and no channel to my knowledge tests bows at those lengths: it's always been 30 inches at 70 pounds; thank you for bringing this to the forefront.

I had a nock break resulting in a partial dry fire on my phase 4. Derailed and trashed the lower cam. $400 later fixed and shoots fine 😢. Bad things happen when you dry fire. Maybe not right away, but you just way overdressed that bow system.

I dry fired my hoyt rx4 twice. Nothing happened except the string weights flew out and the 2nd time i did it my peep was crushed. Tough a 2 dollar steak these things.

You should always measure ATA on both sides.

You should really look into the Scott Ascent.. you can get it in 3/4 finger design, but the dual moon design lets you adjust the travel and click on the fly… I can shoot an end, and if it doesn’t feel right, I can make two quick adjustments and increase or decrease the travel, as well as adjust the click travel/remove the click all together.. It’s stainless and heavy, my only complaints are the thumb peg (I’d like another barrel, which you can get easily) and the rubber band hook return (but you can get a lifetime supply from the pharmacy for about $12 since they use orthodontic rubber bands)… Ultimately, I’d go with this Scott over any other release..

I've seen a few pse bows dry fire one time the string stayed on I also seen my old hoyt and I lent my brother inlaw a bear kuma at about 50# and he brought it to me about 4 times dry fired all those bows had nothing wrong except some serving separation, I've seen the hoyt dry fire test and strength test crazy, I wouldnt wanna try this with my elite verdict or bowtech reckoning.

Just shows armor works. Interesting to see modern archery vs modern armor plate. Thanks for doing this. The deflection issue that you all are seeing is often prevented by a v-shaped stop rib in late 14th - early 15th Century breastplates. If you want to see historical arrows and historical armor, Tod's Workshop the Arrows vs Armor 2 series is great.

I know everyone will be different but I want interested in seeing where exactly you have the tension and travel set. Like how many turns from bottom. I’m have having trouble getting mine right. I think it’s probably because I don’t know how it’s supposed to feel. Thanks for a great video.

Hoyt used to dry fire each bow 10,000 shots then tie it with a chain to back of truck and drag it off road for 10 miles then shoot it through paper to show everything was good still in tune! That’s why Hoyt is #1 for durability and always has been! Fact!

Cool review! I just received mine and love the construction. They are kinda hard to deploy so I’m sure that eats some energy. I’ll be sticking with my afflictor hybrids for mechanics and day 6 for fixed.

They're just trying to sell off old product in the shop. The embark is a great bow but over two years old, most of the technology is outdated. Great bow for the price and beginners. Overall this channel is great and has a good space in the archery community.

I shoot a touch heavier arrow set-up out of my recurve and get pass through's no problem on whitetail at only 160fps I could imagine the driving powers of that arrow at those speeds from that compound. Should be able to hunt about anything that walks with that setup...lol Very nice !
