    Justin is the man. Heard him on your pod years ago. Randomly met him when he worked at Sportsman’s Warehouse. Saw him working with Dirk on a mouth tab setup at his own shop. I started taking my bow to him at that shop. Now I travel from Orofino to Spokane Valley for him to work on my stuff. Hopefully he doesn’t move to Antarctica or I’ll be taking my bow there. I trust him inherently.

    Great video, I'm sure that Justin and you are aware of this but just for your viewer's sake I want to point out a fatal flaw that I see quite often.
    The entirety of the tuning process was done without the peep sight installed. Peep sights certainly change the nocking point height as you're spreading the string. Timing can become an issue as well. As shown, there was a piece of loop material that was hollowed out to make an adjustment in the cable, great tip and I do this as well. To think that the giant peep spreading the string won't have a similar effect is something that needs to be pointed out if people are going to follow this for their own setup process. Peep should be in the bow before nock height, timing, and paper tuning. It does affect it.

    So you are recommending moving the rest to remove the Mathews nock high tears? I watched this video over to build my Lift X. My D loop is already 1/4" high, and I absolutely do not want to move it higher than that. I'd rather bump it back down to 1/16-1/8" high, and then adjust the rest if that's what needs done. I watched people shooting the LIFT at an archery shop. There was a guy shooting a Phase 4 near them. The Phase 4 sure sounded more quiet than the LIFT did. The LIFT they were shooting was all decked out with a stabilizer, etc. ( I think it was the factory demo setup sent to the dealer, fully equipped). The Phase 4 was equipped similar and it was easily more quiet. Also, the guy shooting the LIFT said the draw cycle was very heavy at the front end of the cycle. Very interesting! I have not shot one, just sharing what I have seen so far.
    My dealer said all of the LIFTs so far have come in really heavy in terms of draw weight. With a 70# mod they are drawing close to 75 lbs, etc. Another interesting point.

For such a minuscule change in velocity on a percentage basis it is not the velocity that is making the LIFT louder, it is just a louder platform than the Phase 4. Isn't that overkill to worry about a half twist on string by burning in a half piece of bow serving material when you haven't even broken in the string and cables yet from shooting a hundred shots. I'm not a string expert but wouldn't shooting stretch the string and break it in enough that one twist would would eventually need to be done later anyway? Please explain if I am wrong and why so I can learn more please.

      Arrows should be 1 inch longer than your draw

      Dans too short for the 33, the bottom cam would drag on the ground.....

    What is he using to lubricate to the D loop and Nock ties?

    • @Muskiehunter92
      @Muskiehunter92 Год назад

      Nothing it seems. Its not really necessary. Ive never used it. I've always just used 18-20 thou powergrip on nock points and bcy 23 d loop. Its slimmer d loop material than the 24 but has a coating making it more durable. Its ends dont burn as well as the 24, but with practice you can get them burned down fine. Dont use the 23 if you have front closing release calipers though. Theres many many ways and methods to set up a bow. Everyone has their own nuances. No single person does it the "correct way" as there are many correct ways.
