Not only toxic comments, but straight up disgusting. There were so many sexual jokes which is unfortunately unpreventable given the mood of the video. It attracted some of the darkest minds on the internet.
@@allaboutroofing2 the comment on the first video. Was rude he should have left the doe alone to people shouldn't eat meat...it was just ignorant comments.
People will attack you for shooting animals People will also attack you for saving an animals life possibly including their child People like to get angry at things to make themselves feel smart and important
Thank you, Tim, for the update. I do not hunt and I live a plant-based lifestyle. However, I respect your right to live according to your own beliefs. Having said that, you were extraordinarily compassionate to the doe and respectful to the buck as you ran him off. You perfectly illustrated how hunters can be friends of animals and have shown me and others that "hunter" is not synonymous with "animal-hating butthole." Thank you sincerely for the lesson.
A lot of the people that comment rude things to you, they're a lot like that buck, whole lot of testosterone and ignorance. Thank you for taking the time to preserve her life.
Agreed. People have different capacities for emotional processing. Some have no morals. I know amazing people and people very limited moral judgement. No doubt you're correct.
I agree with. When I saw that video, I noticed that the doe looked very tired, especially with a buck harassing her like that. I hope that the doe is alright after being saved
The Internet is a mean place. Kids kill them selves over being bullied on the Internet. You're a strong compassionate man and I completely agree with everything you stand for. 2 years later I'm just seeing these videos and you're still getting comments. I hope more good than bad. Your children will be great people as well through your teachings. Thank you.
Contrary to what anti-hunters think - this is how the vast majority of hunters and outdoorsman are. We aren't bloodthirsty killers. We care as much or more about critters than most. Thank you for putting your experience on the Tube bro!
I dont hunt. Thing is if we didn't have deer hunters the deer population would be so bad and over populated. Like I said I don't hunt. Too much time and money for me. But I do eat it when my friends bring it too me. This is about a guy doing the right thing at the right time. That buck is an abuser.
@@jayteadesigns such as? I’m not trying to be snarky or sarcastic, I honestly want to know what methods of population control you know of that don’t involve killing the animal.
@@elizabethweigle6146 I really didn't think anyone would ask! Yes, there are compassionate programs where they would catch a dear and provide a birth control method, injection, or otherwise. The technology is there and there are enough compassionate people who would glad to help!
jayteadesigns Who is paying for all this? Easy to say all that but when it comes down to it hunters and fishers are the ones who *provide* the state the money for conservation.
Thanks for your update. I'm a senior that used to hunt. I think you are the example of a real hunter. I wouldn't kill anything I don't eat You have morals that spoke to you, not killing that buck. I'm so touched by your ability to exercise your level of moral application instead shooting that buck. God bless 🦋
Killing an animal for personal gain it's like leading hunting parties in Africa to kill lions. Hunting to feed your family doesn't just apply to people and applies to every animal who is a predator! That guy did save that dear by chasing the male off. But you being a sick Karen that you are thought he should execute it but it's not okay to kill it for a reason! The simple fact is you're the type of person that would put a dog down just because it became slightly inconvenient whether it needs it or not! You should be ashamed
I know this, comes two years after the original post. I’m not a hunter, but I totally support what you do and what you decided to do on that day 100%! You actually gave me a new understanding of hunters!
I'm not a hunter, probably never will be. I love that you stayed with the doe when the buck roughed her up. I would have done the same thing. I don't like hunters when they're killing for sport. But when they're hunting for survival and/or for the meat and not just the trophy I compleatly understand and agree with it. I also stand for animal rights, and I agree that over population does kill more animals then hunting. I think you did an amazing thing, and thank you for the update
I’m fine with hunting as long as u give the animal a chance cuz we use to hunt and get hunted ages ago but we never used to use a gun from a 100m away, a bow is a bit better but if u got a compound bow sitting high up in a tree tf r they gonna do
The term "sport" hunting came about to differentiate it from the then-legal market hunting, which the hunters themselves wanted stopped as it was destroying the wildlife populations. Back then, "sport" was used in the term of "sporting" (i.e.fair), NOT because hunting was or is considered some kind of sport like baseball. Killing for antlers only is ILLEGAL. I do not know any hunters who do not have a deep respect for and knowledge of the natural world. I have spent decades fighting for natural areas; I`ve already mentioned that I`ve also rescued injured wildlife incl. deer (whom I can calm with my voice). I have spent most of my life in the Forest without a television set or any other kind of screen. Willi B. in Canada.
@@jacobdisioux YES, and this applies to Africa too; Kenya, which banned hunting in the `70s, has a terrible poaching problem. Legal hunting supports habitat acquisition, biological surveys, and ANTI-POACHING efforts. In Africa, the meat cannot be brought back to N.A., so it is all eaten at camp- - -and donated to local people, which greatly reduces subsistence poaching. The movie stars who try to shut down hunting have no idea of the damage this would do to the wildlife if they were successful. Willi B. in Canada.
I'm an animal rights activist and I still do deer hunting every season, they are not completely oxymoronic to each other, and you helping that doe was an excellent example of that fact.
Unfortunately with deer it can be necessity for hunting seasons, due to thing like overpopulation and wasting disease. I'm all for humane treatment any animal but humane choices can be difficult ones.
Couple years late viewing this (2024). Thank you Mr. Lewis for your even-tempered response. My father was a hunter and taught me (a daughter) how to handle firearms safely. Spent a lot of pleasant afternoons at the range with dad, practicing. Hunters are conservationists. Merry Christmas and wish you a healthy and prosperous New Year. ♥️ from California ♥️
As a Native American, I appreciate this guy’s hunting ethics. He expresses his position in a healthy spirit and mindset. Those that never had to rely on living off the land or have firsthand knowledge about hunting, need to shut their trap. Ha! Anywho, he’s not out to annihilate an entire species! Like the buffalo! Let’s learn from history. This guy provides for his family and teaches his kids! That’s more than most guys are willing to do! Keep going my white brother!
If you truly live off the land you grow things to eat. You don't kill things. People like you just refuse to evolve and never want to let go of their immature mind set.
@@lindamurphy5033 I think it’s more unevolved and immature to tell a Native American how to live their life esp if you’re assuming that I only eat meat. Bozo. 🤡
@@lindamurphy5033 what's the problem with hunting??? Have you ever had deer meat? P.S. do you "grow cows and pigs??? Living off the land, you hunt, fish and grow vegetables and fruits. You use as much as possible of what you acquire. Your comment says nothing
I'm an Animal Management student (3rd year), I've never been hunting myself and don't feel as though I could. But, hunters like you are the hunters we like and talk about in conservation classes. Not hunting for trophies, not hunting like it's some game, not doing it to see animals suffer. You're compassionate, knowledgeable and smart. You know how many animals to shoot and which ones. I can really appreciate the fact you didn't shoot that buck, as I know some others would have. The way you stayed with that doe to make sure she was alright and that the male had left is very commendable. Keep doing what you're doing, keep giving hunters a good name, and thank you for not over-harvesting
I wanted to say thank you. You did the right thing for that beautiful Doe. I am 13 and you inspire me. I love animals and want to be able to work with them someday so I can help and comfort them the same way you comforted that poor Doe. Hats off to you. Take care.
I've never seen deer behavior like that buck was exhibiting. We need more hunters with ethics like yours!!! We hunt as well and we eat what we kill. Thank you for saving that little doe , she was so sweet and deserving. Keep doing what you're doing because you ROCK ❤❤❤. Much respect to you and your family 💕
I'm vegetarian. My daughter is vegan. I just want to thank you for being a kind compassionate hunter. Gives me a new respect for people like you who hunt responsibly. Thank you for sharing your videos.👍
All hunters, hunt respectfully. And eat venison pridefuly. For you eat what you hunt and have a right to provide. And have the right to earn you keep. The people you probably expect is the people that hang testicles of a male buck over a hanging tree. As or rip off doe tails and filter their urine for the next year. Those people are the people we shun.
Just a news flash but you will find that to be true with a lot of hunters. I am an avid hunter and have maybe only killed 1 deer in last 15 years. We spend most our time caring for the animals and making their habitats better. Also take in mind that the money hunters spend on things like hunting license are how the gov raises the money for conservation efforts. Also, a great deal of animal habitat wouldn’t be there if not for hunting. Regular people may care when they see it on social media but they don’t spend any money or do anything to help. Everyone needs to have an open mind that is what is wrong with things today
As an animal right's person who used to think that all hunters were nasty, my world was changed one day in a college composition 2 classroom when a fellow student who was a hunter proceeded to grill the meat of a deer he had hunted himself for the whole class. That was the first time I had ever eaten deer meat in my life, and it was damn tasty. He did it as an interactive way to share his essay on real hunting, not that awful trophy hunting that most activists know about, or poachers who are the ones driving specific animals to extinction, but the kind your talking about, just hunting to provide for yourself and your family without taking more than you need. The kind of hunters that understand the environment, you know the law of the land, you know the animals you hunt well and have a healthy respect for those animals. Those are the kind of hunters I respect the most. Being an animal rights person doesn't have to mean no one has a right to eat animals or that all hunters are bad, but unfortunately, those people are the loudest. Pay them no mind. Those are the people who shout about things they don't truly have an understanding of. Animals eat each other in much crueler ways, but humans can make the choice to make their ending painless and their lives happy and healthy. We just don't. Fuck those hunters that have no respect for the animals they hunt and that spare hunters like you none either. They don't deserve the time of day, but good on you for being respectful anyway, despite how horrible I'm sure those people have been to you. Have an awesome day!
As someone who would never hunt myself as I can't bare the thought, I can say you're a great example of what a huntsman should be. Not somebody who poaches, that's no longer hunting. It's, well, *poaching.* You quite possibly saved that doe's life.
I agree. At least he didn't do like my brother-in-law one year. He and my sister went hunting, and he got one. Just because it was under some briars, he left it. He didn't even attempt to get it. So there was some good meat wasted.
This is a gem of a video. One, thank you for calling out the hate you received - you did it in such a calm manner, and that's refreshing to hear in the midst of cancel culture. Two, thank you for being an ally to wildlife - helping that doe, not killing the young buck, giving your cows little pats. The world could learn from people like you. Kudos.
I have hunted for over 50 years! I have taken every North American big game animal with the exception of a moose and brown bear. You sir, absolutely did the right and responsible thing. Don't listen to any of the static.
I really dig your voice!! I wasn't expecting you to be in ur 40s you sounded like a real young Matt Damon in that Doe video. Anyway great videos. You should get on here and tell stories you got the voice, nice to listen to
Omg! I thought the same and at first when I clicked on the link and seen him, I thought I clicked on something different until I heard his voice. I was expecting to see a young cowboy in tight fitting wranglers and a George Strait hat on. Lmao. His entire attitude and voice makes him a cutie pie in my book all day long 🤣💙🤗🤠
You did the right thing in that you saved her and yet you also realized he was a young dumb buck who still to immature and needs to grow up. And for anyone who doesn’t understand hunting is a necessity to keep the animal population healthy, they are ignorant uneducated and hopefully will read other comments that will wise them up. If they choose to remain ignorant and uneducated that’s on them. The rest of us who hunt and love animals support you.
You are so wholesome. You are the definition of an ethical hunter. I salute and appreciate you sir!! Thank you for being kind to that doe, and even the buck as well!
I couldn't believe what I was seeing in the first video. I sent it off to my husband at work. I was happy to see the follow up and I will send it to. Thank you for not leaving her. 🤎
No one should have an issue with someone that hunts responsibly to put food on their table. I was a vegetarian for over 40 years and always thought the same. My reasoning for being vegetarian was that if I couldn’t kill my own food I shouldn’t eat it. I deeply disagree with factory farming. I eat a little meat these days but only game or free range organic. I also think what you did for that deer was exactly right, and hopefully that buck will learn better manners next season. Ignore the internet crazies 😊
Yes precisely, i’m vegan and there is such an enormous difference between what he does to feed his family/ control the population/ help the environment versus the atrocities the meat industry commits. In spite of my distaste for meat, I have nothing but respect for this man’s ideology- if all meat eaters thought like this I think the world would be a much better place.
If they have a problem with that then they have a problem with all predators hunting prey for food. Since it would be more cruel to kill off all predators until they're extinct so deer or other species would no longer be prey and live in a peaceful utopia then yeah their rhetoric makes no sense. But hey don't expect them to use logic.
It's just sad that anyone, hunters and non hunters could have said anything remotely negative about what you did. That just tells me that the hunters (if they are) probably use illegal hunting practices and most likely take untagged deer and kill for just the thrill and take just the trophy and leave the meat. You came upon something that was not right and you did what any human being would have done. And besides, Olivia Benson from SVU would have called that sexual assault. Lol.
Yeah here's the thing deer aren't human and can not understand these things you placing responsibility on the deer for actions out of his control is laughable
@@Playerofakind he was just helping the female what's the problem? 🙄 y'all be talkin out y'all ass. The dude still wasn't acting right even by deer standards, that wasn't normal
Im a hunter aswell and absolutely love animals. Great to see representation of what hunters are actually like. We love nature, we love animals and we care so much about the environment and ecology.
I'm sorry there is no explanation or excuse that is good enough but the fact that you say you love animals and yet you killed them that doesn't make any sense and it makes you a murderer what kind of animal lover kills animals? Total bullshit
@@karenanderson9884 A lot of people are animal lovers without being vegetarians. Now, a lot of them might just by anonymous meat from the grocery store, but is that any better, ethically speaking? All you're doing when you buy meat is paying for someone to kill an animal for you, and if anything it's worse because of the inhumane conditions of the factory farms most of that meat likely came from. At least with hunting you know the animal was free range and allowed to live a very natural life up until the time of their death.
@@karenanderson9884 STFU. My family hunts and we love animals. Hunting is necessary to keep the deer population down. The first thing I was taught about hunting is that we only take what we need; and that we don't disrespect the animals we kill. We also try to kill the animals as quickly as we can so that they don't suffer. I know that this is a lot of information for your brain to process; but the fact is is that hunters are not heartless killing machines hell-bent on destroying all wildlife. So how about you shut up and keep your stupid opinions to yourself.
@@karenanderson9884 - clearly you are a product of revisionist studies which in your case has taught you zilch about the definition of words attached to emotions.
Good for you sir!! I grew up with a family who rescues animals. My mother started the SPCA in South America. I am still involved and I’m a hunter who ethically hunts to sustain themself. I have nurtured wild animals back to health and have released them. The owl I rescued, came back to visit me for years until I moved. Good for you! You’re awesome
You did the right thing. Poor girl needed a break. If she really was old, as you suspected, then she probably didn't have the energy to fend off that youngster. Side note: the male may have been doing that on purpose. An unknown trait in deer behavior - if a male thinks a female he's not bred with to be pregnant, then he might intentionally attack her sides and belly to force her to lose the baby. For all we know, he could have been following and harrassing her for days waiting for some similar outcome... That sounds brutal and awful. Thank you for your kindness to that poor, tired girl! Please post if you encounter her again!
Many don't realize the damage over browsing is doing to forest, field, garden and even the soil. Hunting, fishing, and farming develop awareness in all senses of the entire surroundings as each moment unfolds, all while practicing self control. This gives the gift of being grateful for all the gifts of nature and life. Thank you for the chance to reflect on this stuff.
The poor lass was so exhausted and you certainly did the proper thing in my opinion. Your respect for hunting as a way to feed your family and the wildlife that you hunt, good man.
I’m not a hunter, though I did grow up around a few. Massive respect for helping out that doe. The internet is toxic and hateful by nature unfortunately, but I hope you and your family have a pleasant New Years.
you are an angel! God bless you and your family. your wife and children are blessed to have you. Thank you for being awesome & making this follow-up video🤍🦌🤎
Just because what that buck did to her is part of nature, doesn’t mean it’s a pleasant thing for the poor doe to go through. I’m sure she appreciated the chance you gave her to breathe and recover her strength. Nature can be cruel and unrelenting; it couldn’t hurt to show some kindness where we can. Perhaps by not killing the young buck, he will mature and be more prepared the next time breeding season comes around, and hopefully the next doe he breeds won’t end up like that girl did. It’s a learning experience for him and he may learn to properly breed later on. Thank you for understanding that; as a fellow hunter, it’s both infuriating and enlightening to see such hatred from people towards hunters, or anyone that would have done what you did. You’re right, the internet can be a bad place, it’s sad really. People turn on each other and pull anything out of their sleeves to rile each other and be mean. Nonetheless, you did a kind thing for the doe and buck alike, and I respect that. Hope you have a good day and you and your family stay safe!
@@justsomelochnessmonsterony8265 Of course! It's terrifying to wonder what kind of people are on this planet upon looking through the comments. People act like animals should have the same logical reasoning as us, when in reality, they don't. It's just nature, and nature isn't always pretty whether we like to think otherwise or not.
I love how down-to-earth this guy is. He seems like he'd be a nice guy to hunt with. And you probably won't see this but I think you did the right thing. I see it as you saying "thank you" to God for the deer He provided you with earlier by taking care of another deer. God bless. And thank you for this and the other video.
Hi there, Timothy. I'm currently getting my degree in environmental science/ecology, and I just wanted to say that as someone studying this stuff and hoping to work in the field of conservation for a living, you absolutely did the right thing, and I truly appreciate your approach to hunting. Overpopulation of deer, especially, is a HUGE problem ecologically, devastating natural resources and making it impossible for future generations of deer and other species in the area to survive. Limiting the population of deer via hunting, taking every part of the animal, and using that deer to provide for yourself and your family is what hunting should be all about. There's a huge difference between trophy hunting endangered species or poaching, and ethically hunting an overpopulated species as you are here. I tip my hat to you, sir. Thank you for spreading the message of ethical hunting - or rather, hunting as it is MEANT to be done.
I just watched this video, so the event recorded happened 3 years ago. I am a huge animal lover and advocate and really don't support hunting, though I know the necessity of it. I have a Bachelor's in agriculture and know that hunting is vital at keeping the population of herbivores in check since this country has done well at nearly eliminating apex predators. I applaud your compassion for that doe and thank you for intervening on her behalf. Thank you for your kindness and honesty in this wonderful update. Blessings to you and your family this New Year!
I am not a hunter but I understand that hunting deer helps keep their population down, which in turn keeps disease in check as well. I greatly appreciate your stepping in to help her. She needed you. You are a good steward of what God has given you.
Oh honey yeah there's a lot of crazy comments on RUclips there's definitely a lot of immature people here please ignore them I hope you continue to post and share thank you
Again, thanks for protecting her and making sure she was ok. You showed a side of hunters I’ve never seen. Bless you sir! Those people that disagreed with your actions would probably not stop a rape in progress, there are far too many people on the net that show their worst possible side.... cause they can hid behind an icon without their real name. Most are cowards....ignore them.
Meet more hunters, then! You`ll find that the majority of us are deeply concerned about the environment and yes, we do love other animals. I can`t eat a deer if I know him personally! Willi B.
Thank you for your knowledge, compassion, and care. You take care of the land and animals, understanding the circle of life. Why do people believe they have the right to bully others...often with little to no knowledge of the topic. You are strong and caring, and that's what you are teaching your children. To those of you who believe you have the right to tear down/bully others, stop and think -would you like to be treated this way? Stop the insanity, people, and let's get back to humanity. It's okay to disagree...just be respectful and treat others the way you'd like to be treated.
Thanks for the update. I saw your original video, the first one, last year and was really touched by it. Your kindness and compassion towards that doe was outstanding. I too am a hunter and have hunted nearly 50 years. But to see something like that and NOT intervene and run that buck off would have been wrong in my opinion. People do not understand that even though we are hunters, we probably care more about the deer and animals we hunt than the anti-hunters. We understand the value in the hunting and conservation and what it means for the survival of wildlife. Thank you for doing what you did for that doe! And thank you for this follow-up video. Good luck and be safe at your deer camp. That's for the best of friendships are made😊.

Even though it's 2 years gone, I was happy to see your update. The first video upset me because I thought she was hurt worse than she actually was. And I appreciate you not shooting the buck for being an idiot! But thank you for helping the doe. I was really worried for her when he chased her into the woods. I could never personally kill a deer, except if i was starving, I guess. But I understand the reasons behind it. If the population isn't culled, they could end up dying a much worse death than being hunted. Thank you for being a kind hunter. ❤
i know i don't know you, but i feel like i do. you seem so genuine and true of heart. i'm not radical, but i do advocate for animal rights, have considered going vegetarian, and disdain hunting for sport... but you hunt responsibly and respectfully, and that makes all the difference in the world for others like me. i completely support what you do, i appreciate your morals, and i know how valuable you are to the ecosystem and the circle of life. i'm grateful that you stepped in to save the doe, and i think it was extremely mature of you to not shoot the buck. thanks for letting us into your world a little bit, and i wish you and your family the best! don't let people feeling big behind a screen get you down. 💜 happy new year!
So glad you saw this video and the true heart of hunters 💚 99% of us hunters are just like this guy, and would've done the exact same thing. To add just a bit more to consider - this man literally risked his own life to save this doe - whitetail bucks are notoriously aggressive and have killed people during breeding season totally unprovoked. I'm amazed this man was not attacked.
As a fellow hunter... You did the right thing for that Doe. Running that Buck off not only saved her life but it allowed her to bring more deer in to the world
Oh great! He ensured the deer population will continue to suffer under human rule! Humans don't deserve to live among great creatures. Most humans are evil a-holes!
@@claireh1672 you know deer over populate and if they over populate they eat tons of the plant life preventing other herbivores to eat they end up starving to death
@@shirodaddy3046 So do humans! Killing them is not the answer! China has a policy of forced infanticide. If humans have to kill to control a population; then that's the same as failure! I've personally never been a fan of hunting, but I have nothing but respect for you after seeing the way you treat animals. This honestly helped me realize that not all hunters view animals as "just animals." Some of you recognize them as living beings that have thoughts and feelings just like anyone else, even if they are a bit different. Thank you for hunting responsibly and treating animals with the compassion, love, and respect they deserve. I wish you nothing but the best and no matter what people say, you did the right thing.
I just came across your channel. You seem a family man and sportsman. I don't know why people have to get so rude on RUclips. Great stuff. You've earned a follow, Sir.
I think you are a good man. I clicked on the Doe video because recently I moved to a new apartment (in the burbs) where 2 Doe come up to my patio to eat crabapples from the tree planted about 10 feet from my door. The deer give me such blissful joy to see so close up. I do not interfere, nor feed them. As a city-slicker, I learned a lot from your 2 videos. Thanks. Bless you.
I thought it was a good educational video about what can potentially happen in nature when things don’t quite line up the way they are supposed to. You just explained all of that quite clearly in this update. Thank you. I’m sorry that people out there didn’t appreciate the video. I thought your reaction was pretty normal for a rancher. My grandfather was a hunter and he raised horses. Just be yourself and I look forward to your next video.
It's a good thing you did rescuing that doe. If you hadn't stayed with her he probably would have come back and killed her. You gave her a chance to rest and recover. Bless you. Btw I hunt too. Screw those jackwagons that criticized you.

There really are some insane people online. My husband and I both hunt and we just got my daughter into hunting as well and you did exactly what my husband and I would do and I just want to say thank you again. My husband hunts the same family property every year and he has made a friend who follows him into the woods and sits on his head and then follows him out for the last two years a Ruffed Grouse. He has the funniest videos of her sitting on his head, walking him to his blind and following him out. It’s the strangest thing. Animals are amazing and I’ve found that sometimes just being in the woods is better than getting a deer. Happy hunting everyone.
A very well said, mature and tactful video in the face of some shameful comments from ignorant people. You did the right thing and handled this well man. Something to show the kids how to handle people on the internet.
You are a good man, sir. You'll understand and appreciate this tale, and get a big grin out of it. A Veteran I knew bought some good land here in Michigan, and set up a feed stand, figuring it would be easier to pick and choose his targets when season came. One young buck figured out he was the source of the food, and slowly got closer and closer til he was actually leaning on the man, clearly feeling affectionate. From then on when he'd hit the woods for a ramble, that young fellow would join him, much like a dog. By the time hunting season came, he gave up on the idea of hunting, because "How can I shoot a friend? Or any of his friends?" So now he basically runs a deer sanctuary, especially during hunting season. And his own special buck is a big, handsome fellow who still likes to hang with him. I've sworn to never reveal the deer whisperers name, so don't ask.
I think what you did was completely appropriate. You were checking the welfare of both animals. I’m glad you gave the doe some love she sure needed it.
Thursday 13 June 2024. Sydney Australia. I just happened to watch your first video with that poor doe. Given the information you gave about the age of that buck, and the state of the doe, the fact that you happened to be in the right place at the right time after having hunted that day, I reckon you took the right course of action. I don't hunt. I live in the city/suburbs, but I understand that where you live and the need to hunt as you do, makes proper sense to me. As for those hunters who cussed you out. Well, I got nothing to say about them. I will say one thing though. If they're adult men, then they're very immature. There will always be folk such as they. Pay no mind. You showed a compassionate and caring, sensible manner.
Screw those people who spoke negatively about you. You are a compassionate person & what you did was amazing. Thank you for being such a good person & responsible hunter. Your mindset is amazing & it's a shame there aren't more hunters like you out there. Keep your head high!
I'm not a hunter but I understand the necessity of the situation. It was actually refreshing to see the compassion so close and real. I know some guys that act like a bunch of Neanderthals when they get together to hunt. So Thank you Tim!

Thank you for helping the doe. You showed compassion for a fellow living creature when you helped her. I don't understand when people see the opportunity to help and turn away saying, "it is natures way". The buck wasn't a predator. He was out of control and killing her would have served little purpose. What you did set a good example for others and was good for your own self esteem.

Thank you, Tim, for the update. I do not hunt and I live a plant-based lifestyle. However, I respect your right to live according to your own beliefs. Having said that, you were extraordinarily compassionate to the doe and respectful to the buck as you ran him off. @@marcolangman5736 Messed up and ILLEGAL. Willi B. in Canada.

Willi B. in Canada.

Those people are the people we shun.
kudos to you you’re so great you’re vegetarian Tf
Just a news flash but you will find that to be true with a lot of hunters. I am an avid hunter and have maybe only killed 1 deer in last 15 years. We spend most our time caring for the animals and making their habitats better. Also take in mind that the money hunters spend on things like hunting license are how the gov raises the money for conservation efforts. Also, a great deal of animal habitat wouldn’t be there if not for hunting. Regular people may care when they see it on social media but they don’t spend any money or do anything to help. Everyone needs to have an open mind that is what is wrong with things today
More hunters are responsible than are not. Most hunt for food and understand managing the population properly.
Thank you for sharing your story.

This man makes me proud to be an American 👏🏻 no matter your personal beliefs, he did what he thought was right and that is the purest act of kindness! He has a lot of respect for the world, people and animals alike! Lots of love!
What does that have to do with America tho? Those are so far from what Americans stand for. Do you even live in America my guy?
Thank you for helping this pretty girl. You have a kind heart!
Thanks for the follow up. You seem like a real compassionate person and I wish more were like you. Great video, and wish more people understood hunting and would hear you out.
I ❤ that you stayed with this poor Doe thank you for saving her .God Bless you and our little Doe . My prayers to you and your family . Love from Southern Ontario Canada .
You did right. I would've done the same. It's your compassion that lead you to stay by that doe. Glad you did! Thank you for sharing.
As a fellow hunter... You did the right thing for that Doe. Running that Buck off not only saved her life but it allowed her to bring more deer in to the world
Hi I’m hunter
@@huntercole8365 whoa a real Hunter
There are other ways to ensure supply exceeds demand. Even if that includes preventing them from being fertile. And ensuring land is deliberately set aside for nature; well off the beaten track. Where humans are banned from sharing its bounty.
You are an educated hunter, don't let the uneducated get you down....there's too many of them.
I agree, thank you for sharing and spreading awareness. The internet is a mean place. I respect & am grateful for your intervention & representing true hunters!
hello i watched your first videoand my heart broke for the doe… and you were her hero… ty🥰 and this video was so courteous and direct … you are a special human being… much respect… im not a hunter but 👍 for your compassion 💕
This guy is like what everyone should strive to be like. Smart, compassionate hunter. Also a great dad and human being.
Thank you for the update. You're kind words for that little doe were so sweet and compassionate. I dont hunt and never had an interest but thank you for this POV I've never considered. You're an amazing person. God bless. 😊
Thanks. Bless you.
I appreciate the follow up video and appreciate what you did for the female deer.👏🏽
I knew you had to be a dad because of how you were sweet to that Doe.
You have my respect for showing so much compassion to another living soul. And im so happy she lived ❤
You did well- thank you for caring and being honest!
I love all of the respect you've given off while talking to us, and about the beautiful wildlife 💛 Thank you so much for these lessons!
Absolutely beautiful the care and respect you have for wildlife and animals in general. Thank you for helping her. ❤😊
God bless him
What a great story, Albert. 😊
I think what you did was completely appropriate. You were checking the welfare of both animals. I’m glad you gave the doe some love she sure needed it.
Seeing the video a year later. Thank you for helping this deer. Most of all, thank you for being a responsible hunter.
I think you did the right thing. She was old and possibly done with breeding or just wasn’t ready to stand. I say kudos to you sir. Glad you’re helping with the population control by hunting. And who doesn’t like deer meat. God bless you and your family.
Love from a vegetarian. My problem is factory farms, you are great! Keep up the work!
I saw the original video first, and you were wonderful. I like the follow up as well. I respect Hunter's and the compassionate as well. I think you've done an amazing job. I may not like game meat, but you live off the meat and do the right thing. Sorry for all the meanies out there. Much respect 😊 ❤
Thank you for being kind and helping the doe. Continue spreading your kindness.
I don’t hate the guy. He’s a hunter not a poacher.
Thank you for the update. And thank you for explaining hunting, I never understood how it helped until now. And I think what you did and what you do is great.
Thank you so much for helping her.
And for giving her some comfort. She really seemed to be enjoying those scratches behind the ears.
You're a good man. Ignore the haters. Wildlife management means taking care of the animals, not just hunting but offering assistance to the animals in need. Merry Christmas Mr. Lewis
Thank you for helping that doe. I'm not a hunter, but I do appreciate what you did for her, and I'm very happy to see you didn't get harmed from that crazy buck.
Thank you for doing the follow up! I can’t believe you were able to capture that. That was cool you were able to pet her and make sure she was ok. Bless you for helping me her and you are awesome !!
I’m very proud that you helped that doe. I’m not a hunter, but I appreciate what you do and what you stand for. I wish there were more kind people like you in this world.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing such love and compassion to that beautiful girl. ❤️
First thing, thank you for saving the doe's life She was in a bad way.
Also thank you for the update. Glad you didn't leave leave us ppl wondering if she survived. God bless ❤
We have stray cats where we live they keep the field mice pop down plus a few foxes nature needs balance people like you help nature keeps that balance
You are 100% correct. Humans are the reason nature is out of balance and humans are the only ones who can fix it
Stray cats are also HELL on native bird populations. These cats are not a part of the natural ecosystem here. Willi B., hunter and naturalist. Canada.
^^ what Ack said. Cats are actually a HUGE invasive species problem in the US and around the world. They’re literally an invasive predator.
@@LostGirl1428 That's why neutering and spaying, as well as keeping cats indoors/on a leash if outdoors is super important
@@raerohan4241 I agree with the spaying and controlling cats. My cat however is to lazy to hunt. Won't lift a paw to shoo a fly away. The only thing he will hunt is a sunny spot on the back of the couch! 🤪😆
God bless you, precious man. I'm literally in tears watching both vids for the first time now. I LOVE animals, and I also have hunters in my family, and do at the same time respect hunters who respect wildlife and use what they kill. PLEASE BE CAREFUL OUT THERE. You're a great soul. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart, and will speak for the lovely doe who so clearly adored you and appreciated your help and kindness. She'll never forget the kind human, YOU, who saved and comforted her when she needed it. 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵
