One of my favorite patterns!!! I used 88 stitches for my ribbing on 4.5 mm needles and increased to 105 on 5 mm needles and my cables came out beautifully! Love this pattern so much and will knit many more hats with this pattern ❤
Thank you! I finished my first cable hat and with your coaching I am feeling more confident with my knitting skills. I am 63 and learned how to knit in 4H when I was 10 years old. I am picking the needles up again and trying to improve my skills. I have one question about the decrease. Would it be feasible to do one more round of k2 together to get 12 stitches, thereby making the circle at the top smaller?
I’m hoping to make this for an 8 year old. I’m just learning - how would I amend your instructions to suit (20.5 inches approximately circumference head) ? Thank you!
I would not change the pattern. I would try 3.5 and 4 mm needles instead of 4 and 4.5mm. Or take more "light looking" medium yarn if you understand what i mean.
Is it possible to only use 4mm for the whole hat? Because I only have a 4mm and 5mm circular needle. Or should I use both 4 and 5 or will that look weird since the wool is for 4mm?
Hello, I decided to cast on 100 stitches for the hat. Unfortunately adding 6 stitches does not make it divisible by 15. Should I just start over? Or, can I decrease the number of stitches I have an add the 6 later? Thank you!

Hi. Thank you for your feedback. You can add one extra row of decrease. Didn't do this as I closed crown without problem and I liked the final result.
Thank you! I appreciate you! I may try your double layer hat next! It reminds me of the Musselburgh hat!
Thank You ✨💜✨

Use 4 mm for the ribbing and 5 mm for the cables
Gracias

Hi. Add 5 stitches instead of 6. You will get 105 that is multiple of 15
@@CrazyHandsKnitting thanks! That’s what I did and it looks like it’s working out so far.
Would I do everything here with flat needles same numbers ??
Here is flat version crazyhands.net/creme-brulee-cable-knit-hat-pattern-straight-needles/
@CrazyHandsKnitting hi! the link is for bulky yarn, how can i modify it to worsted? thanks! ❤
Hello, do you have to switch to DPN or magic loop at the closes?
It is better to switch, but still possible to finish with circular.
@@CrazyHandsKnitting thank you for the response!
can i follow the same pattern if i use flat needles? thanks
I think I have answered already your question earlier
What size is this hat, for adults or children?
it is an adult size, here is written instruction crazyhands.net/worsted-weight-yarn-knit-cable-hat-pattern/
請問加針要特別加在什麼位置嗎?
You change for bigger needles size after the ribbing
