zychrias If you’re in the heat of the fight and aren’t really informed, you can easily forget about them. Had a similar experience with some relatives. Told them to be more careful and mind the borders, I don’t want my Aquarium to get smashed 👀
+Ayy Lmao if he's 80 then naw. Nam vets are all in their late 70s and early 80s now. My pops is 79 & served in that era. But this dude kickin ass regardless though lmao
this is how you win the VR war. If old people can get into VR games that easily due to intuitive motion controls, then the same cannot be said of Oculus Rift with old-hat Xbox controller.
Update: now the Oculus Rift and Touch can work with SteamVR, and works just like the Vive in terms of Roomscale. There's video proof on this already, it's just that Oculus is too scared by lawyers to promote 360 degree roomscale, instead being content for half-assed 180 standing content. Mind you, that's just for Oculus exclusives on their shitty store, the irony here is that their hardware CAN do it just fine on their rival's Steam platform, but they won't do it on Oculus Home.
BodethIII at this stage, I'm just not interested in supporting FB, with all their anti consumer policies. I'm just going to see Vive 2 or somethingas I'm not getting suckered into buying gen 1 of anything really
It does support "a form of room scale, but it's not quite as full as the Vive. For example if you drop something on the floor, the sensors won't register low enough to have you pick it up.
I am glad that gramps got a chance to see this technology. It is great we have advanced this far. This is another piece of history he can add to his memory that did not exist 81 years ago and he has saw much in the way of technological growth.
I think it is the most interesting for people that are somewhere about 80 years old by now. When they were kids, literally nothing we know and use today existed back then exept some basic stuff. Just seeing how the world changed in the last 30 years in amazing and beyond comprehension for most people.
+Arild Marthinsen You'd need a retractable tool holder set to the perfect tension to take up any cord slack while not putting any strain on your head and neck. It may be possible. Unfortunately, I can't drill into my ceiling to test.
Here's a guy who remembers when TV's were black and white with a circular screen and even then, only people with money had them. Virtual Reality has really gotta be blowing his mind.
Man I remembered when I first bought my VR I thought of letting my grandpa try it when we get home to my country or when he comes here in Canada but a few months before his vacation here, he passed away because of sepsis. Fuck man
Someone needs to start a GoFundMe so he can have is own. It would make me happy to know he's out there, fearlessly taking on new tech and hordes of zombies whenever he wants.
Hey There! I just wanted to say I really liked this vid a lot. Im trying to become a better youtuber myself. Do you think you could give me some pointers? Thanks -Squiddy
grandpa knows how to kick ass
100% this guy used to raise hell back in his day.
"They are naked and running away from me."
"Reminds me of spring break in 1956."
this basically describes my love life
Now thats what I call family quality time.
Oh hey Mr Slav
holy shit it’s the real one
everyone was laughing except the guy who owns the vive, that shit is 800$
+TheMasterpieceArtist " oh fuck please don't smash it" " Oh fuck"
+TheMasterpieceArtist Yeah at the end there he was like " Ahhh! No Grandpa get away your about to step on my laptop too!"
If it had been setup right, a border would go up visibly telling him to back up.

he's Cuban lolol. I can tell by his accent
Quick maths
10/10, would team up with during the zombie apocalypse.
lol I agree, a welcome addition to my group. wouldn't even have to ask him the 3 questions
which r the questions?
If you have to ask, you're one of them...
He probably beat you up at the same time with the zombies
if he becomes a zombie he wouldnt be much of a threat too
He was ready to kill everyone in that room lmao
Too bad , Vive doesn't ship with a light sabre.
This makes me so happy.
Ok
Ok

+BodethIII that's how Wii became so big.

Callin' it now. This guy is gonna help take down Negan next season on the walking dead.

@but the gap is now smaller. I feel like 2000 and 2020 nothing changes much. Unlike years ago where a decade feels like a whole new world

Oldest Vive player so far? He looked like he had a good time with it. *thumbs up*
Nah there was a 100 yo
Four years later and here we are.
I dont understand why nobody strap the cord into the roof or tape it with some ducktape. This way you will not tangle yourself in the cord...
+Arild Marthinsen it is way better having it drag on the floor
+Arild Marthinsen You'd need a retractable tool holder set to the perfect tension to take up any cord slack while not putting any strain on your head and neck. It may be possible. Unfortunately, I can't drill into my ceiling to test.
Why run the headset cord to a belt, that way all the tension is against the hip and thus make it less noticable?
that would make it harder to step over it when you are turning in circles
Another five years and we won't even need the cord.
Your grandpa is awesome!
Why do you only have 240 subscribers your deserve way more
